I first found Dr. Jenni when I was dealing with severe pelvic pain and had already gone through eight months of physical therapy and a laparoscopic surgery to find the cause, neither of which worked. In just two visits where Dr. Jenni worked on a vertebrae subluxation in my lower spine and other muscular imbalances, the pain I had experienced for nearly two years had nearly completely vanished. In the years since, she has helped me maintain my quality of life through decreasing pain associated with my skeletal and muscular systems and increasing my mobility and strength. I have Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which means my connective tissue is more like tissue paper, and Dr. Jenni has not only learned more about EDS to help care for me but has also taken the time to learn how my range of motion is affected by different adjustment techniques to make sure that I always have a great experience during my visits and have lasting relief. She provides advice on exercises to do outside of visits to continue working on problem areas and has advised me on modifications for weightlifting and physical therapy techniques (which I also worked on with a PT)! Dr. Jenni is trans-inclusive, focused on comprehensive care, incredibly knowledgeable about her field, and overall a caring professional. I was in constant pain and nothing seemed to give me relief. I heard that acupuncture can be an effective treatment for chronic shoulder pain so I decided to give it a try. The results were immediate and my pain was relieved by 90% after the first treatment. I have been going to weekly treatments for the past 4 weeks and I am amazed at how much better I feel. I went to Advanced Health Care Solutions (AHC) http://www.advancedhealthcaresolutions.org/ which is a family owned business at the corner of Strickland and Creedmoor and talked to them about my issue. They recommended that I have a Digital Thermal Imaging Scan which showed the areas of inflammation around my shoulder and neck area. Then using the scans Dr. Marc Cutler, the Acupuncturist began treatment. Dr. Cutler was professional and knowledgeable and has a great bedside manner. His staff was also courteous and attentive to my needs. As background Dr. Cutler is a past President of the North Carolina Acupuncture Association and has operated one of the most successful Acupuncture & Integrative Practices in NC for the past 20 years (see his bio on their website). Fortunately, Acupuncture works great for rotator cuff tendinitis. First, it works by increasing the circulation to the area and decreasing inflammation in the tendons. Secondly, acupuncture stimulates regrowth of the cells and tissues in an injured area. And as I experienced, it helped to reduce my pain significantly which was a huge relief.
