Quite disappointed in our visit at this dental clinic. We were referred here for my 3.5year old…read moredaughter to get her tooth looked at. At first they didn't want me to come back with my daughter and said that kids do better when their parents aren't around (which I understand can be the case), but my daughter didn't want to go in a strange room with a stranger without me so they allowed me in. Long story short they tried to get x rays of my daughter and escorted me out quietly to try and distract her. As I waited in the waiting room I stood by the door to the X-ray room and my daughter began to cry, the dental assistant raised her voice at my daughter (I'll call her Anna for protection sake) and told her multiple times rudely " Anna stop crying, if you want to see your mommy you have to stop crying Anna" I stood behind the door feeling sick that I couldn't be there for my 3 YEAR OLD daughter and this woman wouldn't let her see me until she stopped crying. A couple minutes later they came out and the dental assistant acted all smiley and nice and my daughter was visibly upset still. For a first time visit to a paediatric dentist this was so beyond wrong! I would highly caution parents in letting their children go behind closed doors if this is how staff are treating kids (especially a 3 year old). No child should be spoken to like this or told they cannot see their parent! I did call and inform their office manager of what happened, but we will not be returning and again if you have young kids who can't fully communicate what goes on I wouldn't trust this clinic sadly.

In all he's had 3 fillings done here and I'm quite impressed with their services. It is a very busy practice and there are a lot of people in the waiting room. Expect to wait a month to get in for routine exams and treatments. Generally the staff is very pleasant. I do find one young receptionist a bit on the colder side but she does her job well so what can you do? I find this pediatric dental practice serves children much better than a regular dental practice could.

Ok, Dr Barsky is the dentist I had prior to moving on to Dr Chan. And why did I move? Well, Dr…read moreBarsky is a pediatric dentist. A dentist that I went to long after ceasing to be a child. Despite Dr Barky's assurances that I could stay until I had kids of my own (and even then), I decided to leave when one of the dental hygenists mistook me for my own mother. Having only glanced at my chart, she assumed "I" was quite small - 3 or 4, and that I was my mother. I was really offended, but decided it was time to move on. A waiting room is awesome when covered in kids toys, but it was a sacrifice I had to make to save my own dignity. That being said, there was a reason I went to Dr Barsky for so long. The purple office was upbeat and fun, and more than a little unusual. The chairs themselves are also purple, and there are cute pictures drawn by patients and posters everywhere. There are several flavours of fluoride available: from bubblegum to strawberry, and you got to pick from a cute chart with pictures. And if you were good, you got a prize... Ok, ok, it was time to move on! Dr Barsky has a way with people (and kids in particular) that made it hard to leave. This can be seen in the long waiting periods it takes to book an appointment: you must do it nearly six months in advance. If I had kids though, I would take them to him. It actually makes going to the dentist a treat.

We came here for my 3 yr old daughter. She loves hygienists but when it comes to dentists NO WAY!…read moreOur dentist was unable to work on her cavities so we had a referral sent here. It took a couple months to get our initial appointment. Once in we received our consultation and were set up with dental surgery at their surgical suite. My daughter was at this time, also deathly afraid of hospitals so it was good news that the dental surgery was performed in an office type setting. The front desk staff are great. Very friendly. The lady in the financial department was easy to work with. Set up a payment plan that worked for us. Day of surgery went well. Very nice surgical suite. Great waiting room. The toys made my daughter's anxiety lessen. She was able to play her stress and worry away. Once back into the surgery area the nurse and Dr Barsky were so nice and calming. They let my daughter know what they were going to do (well how they help her fall asleep that is). She was so relaxed in this setting. After surgery we again received wonderful care. They woke her up with a Freezie which is all she remembers. I highly recommend this dental office!!!! Especially if you have an anxious child.

Dr smith caused me a lot of anxiety when I was a child. I still have issues with dental visits…read morebecause of how mean and scary he was when I was little. I will never bring my children here again!…read more I phoned to make an appointment for my 5 year old daughter who was having considerable tooth pain, but the lady I spoke with was so ignorant I didn't even make it through the call to book her in. She was very irritated that I asked for their approximate fees for an emergency check up and x-rays. When I questioned the reason they wouldn't disclose their starting rates, she hung up on me. Wow! (I wasn't a new client either, just last year my oldest daughter had over $4000 of work done here, and I wasn't particularly impressed with the service then either.) Who wants to bring a young child to a "pediatric" dentist center when they can't even be polite and respectful to the parent. I have never written a bad review on a company before, but this place out of any place that I have had terrible service from, deserves it the most! After reading other reviews, specifically on Google, I'm not alone in feeling this way. They have many clients who have expressed frustration with the poor attitude of the staff.
