I'm so happy that I came across Lincoln Foot and Ankle Center when I was experiencing toe pain. Dr…read more Heidi Hoffman is amazing! I searched throughout my insurance network and this was the one podiatrist office that didn't complicate getting an appointment. I was able to get an appointment with only a short wait time. The office is located in a convenient location, it's right off Lincoln Ave and a block off Damen. There is a train stop, Irving Park, not to far from the office and several buses run near the office. It was easy to get to the office. During my visit I was paired with Dr. Heidi Hoffman, she is amazing! I arrived a few minutes before they opened and Dr. Heidi Hoffman allowed me to come in so I didn't have to wait outside. She was friendly and very educational. As I mentioned above, I came into the office for toe pain that was making it hard to use shoes. She listened to my issue and quickly noticed what could be causing the pain. She was able to give me a instant short-term pain relief and gathered whatever was needed for additional tests. She was also able to help me understand more things about my foot. After the appointment, I was updated roughly a week later about the results of the test and given instructions on how to deal with the continuous toe trauma that she discovered. It's been a few months and my toe barely aches when I put on shoes. I can press on the toe that had the issue and it doesn't hurt. It was the complete opposite a few short months ago. I would highly recommend coming to Lincoln Foot and Ankle Center for all of your needs.

I have terrible foot pain during my maternity leave. I saw a foot doctor who had me in and out in…read more15 minutes, gave me no care plan or follow up steps. Then a few days later called to say he ran my insurance and xyz is what would be covered for custom orthotics and asked when could I come in for measurements. It felt shady so I decided to go somewhere else. Then I went to Dr. Hoffman. She spent a lot of time with me. She took x-rays and went over them with me. We talked about my foot shape and what I should be looking for in a shoe. She recommended going to Fleet Feet for a (free) foot measurement and shoe consultation. She then made a conservative plan of treatment (better shoes, stretches, PT) that could be elevated to custom orthotics if this doesn't work. She diagnosed a nerve issue that can only really be treated by PT/form change while exercising (aka not orthotics). She was encouraging of PT ASAP because as I've had a baby this year...I've already hit my insurance out of pocket max. It's a small thing but just made me feel confident that she was looking out for my best interests. She also gave me personal anecdotes about her own experience with plantar fasciitis as it related to my own case that made me feel hopeful and like I won't be in pain forever. I really value feeling "cared for" by the medical professionals I see, and this is what I got from Dr. Hoffman.

I had an ingrown big toenail that game me mild discomfort and was told that I could undergo a simple procedure to cut the ingrown out of the side of my toe, then have a chemical applied so that it wouldn't grow into the skin anymore. What I ended up with is a deformed big toenail that I now have to use a special gel to reconstruct. I followed up a significant time later on the results and was told that I needed to give the nail time to grow out without filing, reconstructing, etc. I have not touched the toenail at all in over a year, and this is how it looks today, almost five years later. Permanently deformed with about 10% of the side of my toenail missing and slanted. I included a photo of both big toenails to compare the appearance. I'm obviously very disappointed about the outcome and deeply regret getting this procedure done here. I was not informed about this risk beforehand.

Williams, I asked all the right questions and he gave me the right answers. He said he performed many successful lapiplasty bunion surgeries in the past and his patients were happy with the results. I believed him and scheduled my surgery. Dr. Williams was not truthful with me. As a result, the recovery was long and painful, in fact I never recovered. I ended up with an ugly, messed up left foot. A year and a half later, I ended up having a corrective surgery at the Northwestern Memorial Hospital. Keep in mind that most surgeons don't want to perform corrective surgeries. They are much more complicated and risky! I am still in recovery from my corrective surgery and pray for a better result this time. Please save yourself a painful experience and pick a competent doctor for your bunion surgery.

Golly, we're talking nasty feet and the discomfort of dealing with them over the years. Imagine your toes shoving up against your socks and shoes throughout the day and not being able to use a treadmill for long because of that and the blasted bunions. It's nice to know there are experts in the field who will correct these issues, because as we age, it can get worse if not treated. I've had 2 Sklar bunionectomies, one for each foot, and three toes on each foot shortened and straightened. While two toes went rogue and decided to do their own thing by turning inward, I had those corrected as well. I couldn't ask for a more accommodating, kind and awesome team to go through my experiences with. The extent to what I had done takes patience, and let's face it, some good insurance, but I am close to the end of my journey. I am ready to say, glad I went through it all with the team at Foot First Podiatry in Schaumburg and Oak Brook locations.

My recommendation is to go somewhere else.

ALL because of their incompetence and because they are obviously trying to scam people. (As you can see by their reply, accountability ZERO!
