This five-star review is based on several factors, all of which aren't even related to actual treatment itself, which I'm sure is just as outstanding. This highly-successful practice offers an extraordinarily generous free consultation, which consisted of a complete dental/orthodontic exam, TWO counseling periods with a very knowledgeable assistant, a thorough sit-down consultation with Dr. Langberg (at a desk), a digital panoramic x-ray, numerous photographs of one's mouth and smile, and a comprehensive treatment plan. All for no charge at all, regardless of whether one moves ahead with treatment. And before all this begins, they give you a really nice tour of their amazing office. They show you most rooms, including the impressive central area where the orthodontic work is done. You will probably not find a more attractive, pleasant, family-friendly, calmness-inducing, and practical dental office space anywhere in CT and beyond. It's rather large too. And very conveniently located with plenty of parking. Regarding the exam, there were two practitioners doing it, with careful attention on every tooth. It was sort of like having a regular dental exam in addition to an orthodontic exam. They could not have been more professional and expert. I felt completely confident with their skills and experience. The entire staff is as friendly as you could ever wish for. They answered all of my questions, and they sent the files and images right over to my dentist in a very timely manner. And I never had to wait when I arrived. They took me right in, amidst a bustling of patients. Nor did I have to wait to get scheduled for this consultation. I called and they basically had me in the next day. They have a large staff, which indicates success and quality. Dr. Langberg seems calm, confident, and highly efficient. He explained every aspect of the treatment. He strikes me as a perfectionist in his craft, and he obviously enjoys what he does. He spoke of the choices, the cost, and the results. He and his assistant were upfront about certain additional work that may be needed for adults. I appreciated this honest disclosure. Not all people are like this. To sum up, I've never heard of getting such a thorough consultation experience, which lasted well over an hour, completely free of charge. This is apparently their policy, and what a great one for any potential client. I decided not to move ahead with a particular treatment at this time, for my own personal reasons, but If I decide to get orthodontic work, I know where to go. And I know to whom I will recommend my associates. I've been meaning to share my experience for months now, since my visit, and now I have. Go for a consultation. You have nothing to lose. You will meet some great people and you'll have fun too. And you will learn a lot about orthodontics. Very unprofessional, I tried to very an appt for a month for reg check up. When I made appt I was told they would call me to confirm because of scheduling issue, I was never called back. I called morning of appt to verify I was going to get EVERYTHING done on that visit, I was told yes I went in. sat there for 10 mins or longer waiting for receptionist to acknowledge me only to tell it would be split in two appts meaning 2 days off of work... now leaving me taking a day off and getting nothing done... I will be looking for a new Orthodontist for my child and I. to top it off last visit they did the same thing and i happened to lose my insurance and my mouth was never finished.... now here we are same damn situation... read more

Well it has been a long time since I have been in an orthodontal office. What an impressive staff and facility! State of the art equipment, scrupulously clean, runs on time. But most important of all, Dr. Langberg was both smart and nice. I always feel reassured when it seems like a medical professional I am consulting reads medical journals and attends professional seminars regularly to stay current on latest trends and procedures. The atmosphere in this office is lovely and welcoming, but unfortunately the work is shoddy. I can't count how many times we had to go back because a fixture came off. Dr. L repeatedly dismissed complaints of painful, ill-fitting retainer. read more

We have been visiting Dr. Langber's office for over two years now, on the recommendation of our dentist. During our first visit, the hygienist took several x-rays of my daughter's mouth, took profile pictures, did a full examination and completed a full history. After that we met with Dr. Langberg spent a fair amount of time talking with us and ultimately told us that my daughter wasn't yet ready for braces, but that we should return in 6 moths to see what progress her incoming adult teeth had made. We were sent out to the reception area to make our next appointment and pay for our visit, and to my total shock, there was no fee for the visit! Now, two years later, it looks like we will be getting braces in June, but have not paid a penny for the last 5 visits! We have never experienced anything quite like this before. We are with Dr. Langberg for the long haul! He's a personable, approachable professional, and his staff is second to none! Thank you for the great service! read more

I have had all three of my children go to Dr. Langberg and we have been beyond happy! He and his staff are extremely skilled and professional, and they truly care for the best interest of the patient! One of my daughters had an underbite and a tongue thrust, and Dr. Langberg spent years tracking her growth progress and working with specialists to determine what would be the best treatment plan for her case. He spent countless hours working with our family and sharing his expertise. After many years of observation (and complementary consultations and X-rays), it ended up my daughter's jaw shifted during her early teen years and she never even needed braces. Thank goodness he recommended we take it slow! I so appreciate Dr. Langberg's honesty to help guide us on what was best for my children - I trust him so much I am starting Invisalign treatment myself!
