My mother had an appointment at this location recently and had a poor experience. No one was friendly or approachable. The doctor had a blasé response to my moms eye concerns and was then passed off to the optician who remarked she had less than stellar insurance coverage. I came to Dr. Conway's office at 441 Green Road in Madison on Thursday June 29, 2023 for an exam and to buy new glasses. A staff member told I had to have a test that would touch my eyes (to test ocular pressure). I said I didn't want anything to touch my eyes, that I had always had the puff-of-air test. She said she said she did not have that test, I HAD to have her test. I said no. She left. Another staff member came in. She said I HAD to have her test. We repeated the same conversation. She left. Another staff member came in. She said I HAD to have her test. We repeated the same conversation. We realized that there was no point in continuing, so I left the office. None of the three staff members smiled. None of the three were sympathetic. None of the three said, "We understand that we don't have the test you want. We will help you find an office with the test you want." They all apparently wanted to force me to have their test. Since then, I went to Walmart's vision center. I had the test I wanted, from staff that smiled, and I left satisfied. I will continue to go there for exams and glasses. I never did meet Dr. Conway. read more
