I find dpd service to be a disgrace I ordered a iPhone 17 pro max for launch day for them to take a week say send to another address and let a fake name sign for it Yet when you ring dpd no answer what's the point of having a phone there office month later tell me be delivered today my neighbour gets a delivery but no deliver for me and as usually no answer there office read more

Item out for delivery yesterday morning and returned to the depot yesterday afternoon. No explanation and no further updates

Yet again another dire service from DPD Ireland - never had this problem when living in the mainland. Apparently after parcel already being delayed they tried to deliver but said they needed a signature (for cosmetics?) yet no calling card left. I asked for a rescheduled day, automated confirmation and yet nothing delivered on confirmed re-delivery day - on the tracking says held at depot. Held at depot after One attempt?? These people are a joke and should not be in business. read more

useless, sent me a text stating my parcel would be delivered 4 days after it was collected, so much for next day. i waited in all day taking time i can ill afford of work and nothing arrived, looked at the websites tracking and the item still hasnt changed from 2 days ago. I tried phoning the castlereagh depot as i thought i could maybe collect it myself but got a recorded message telling me my call can not be completed an too try later. Why send out texts telling people there delivery is due that day an then not bother to do it. disgusting company, shamefull service. I will be contacting the sender of my parcel EE about this as im sure they will agree this is not good enough, hopefully they will start using a different company instead. read more

low calibre, illogical delivery service. They only delivery between 9-5pm when most people are at work. I missed my delivery and was sent a text to have it re-arranged. When I clicked the link it stated, "unable to reschedule parcel", so I wasn't sure whether the delivery was going to be re-arranged, or whether I had to go to the depot to pick it up. A second delivery attempt was made the next day, during the day. As I was at work I missed it again, so now I have to travel to the depot to collect my parcel. My understanding is that the depot shuts at 6pm during the week, and opens for a few hours in the morning on Saturday (when i'm working my second job), so I'm not sure when / how I will manage to get my parcel. If the online rescheduling system was working properly, I would have re-arranged the delivery for a Friday when I was at home, and their wouldnt have been an issue. From my experience, and the other reviews, it would appear that DPD like to make additional work for themselves. read more

Ridiculous way of operating a business. As other reviewers have stated, delivery was unable to be re-arranged on their booking system for a time outside of Mon-Friday 9-5pm. I thought, okay, well I'll wait for the delivery text and get out of work. Text message received and within minutes delivery attempted. This is a pointless delivery notice as it is not notice at all. DPD agreed to deliver to my mother in the same street for me, twice. On both occasions a calling card was left in spite of her sitting inside the house. I called their depot manager and got nothing but attitude from the moment he had my consignment number. I was left with the option of driving 40 miles to pick the parcel up or meet their driver (who was 20 mins away from where I was, without my car at hand to get to him). What are my options? I asked. I was left with absolutely no answer and the item was returned to the retailer. The item being my wedding ring. Absolute shambles of a courier service, with a manager to match. read more

DPD are a high quality and reliable courier service that can be relied on to get your goods from A to B as fast and efficiently as is possible! The main way I have been a recipient of their service is from having packages delivered to me, but I have also sent items from them and I was greatly satisfied! I have had items, delivered from many online retailers via DPD on time and promptly, and have experienced great service. One example of this is when I had to leave my home unexecpectedly to go to Ardglass, meaning I would be unlikely to get my laptop back that day, which would have been quite annoying! However I rang the depot to tell them of this and they said they would tell the driver to deliver it on his way back home instead which allowed me to be a computing nerd once again! We also sold a guitar on EBay that needed to be urgently deliver to someone in Donegal and this was organised via DPD and the operation went very smoothly and was reasonably priced. The website for DPD actually works right with tracking numbers working via online systems, which isn't the case with all couriers! The depot is also conveniently placed if you miss deliveries so you can pick it up on your way home if you are around the Belfast area! read more

minus stars in my opinion when it comes to this delivery service. absolutely woeful for delivering on time and actually being able to speak to someone is impossible! this is the 3rd time I've waited for a delivery from the Castlereagh depot for it simply not to arrive! how they have contracts with Professional businesses such as carephone warehouse is BEYOND me. This place needs shut down plain and simple. & looking at the majority of the reviews everyone agrees DPD is shockingly bad at delivering goods. read more

Terrible, Terrible, Terrible!!!! I had 2 experience with this courier and both were annoying. The parcels never being delivered. They just bring the parcels when people are at work. They don't deliver on Saturdays and their LOCAL office is out of the city which means for going there to get you parcels cost £20! I payed £20 once to go there which is in the middle of nowhere to collect my parcel. I don't know what do they think. People are at work until 5. How they can collect the parcel when they are at work? All the good couriers like Royal mail deliver the parcel to a real LOCAL office in the city not out of the city to make it possible for people to collect it later without any trouble. At least they should consider few hour delivery on Saturday. read more

Each time you will speak (email as they don't like face to face) with a different adviser, who cannot and will not assist. Your parcel will arrive when and where they want. You will be text a premium 0844 number which is automated and cost you. They love saying "sorry" but dislike taking action. Please ask your suppliers to consider switching their account and email them a link to TrustPilot, Reviews, Yelp etc. read more

DPD are rubbish and I would definitely NOT recommend them - they cannot even deliver to a home when someone is in, at the front of the house, waiting patiently for a delivery. I took time off specifically for a DPD delivery. I waited at the front of my house, I didn't go to the bathroom or listen to music. I have no had problems with other deliveries. Yet DPD left the package with a neighbour I don;t know. They did not knock on my door, rattle the letterbox, or call me (they had the numbers). Now my neighbour has not been in all day and I cannot get my package. It requires a very special kind of incompetence to fail to deliver an item when the recipient is at home, waiting for this very delivery. DPD are UTTER RUBBISH and if anyone reading this is thinking of using them, please think very carefully. Look online and you will find hundreds of irate reviews. DPD are incompetent. I would give them "no stars" if I could. read more

I have had the misery of dealing with DPD Depots three times in recent years. Each time, they failed to deliver the parcel, left a card with no tracking number and their actions forced me to make the trip to their depot to collect my parcel. The last time, December 2019, I was expecting a parcel on the 30th December. Nothing arrived. No card was left. The following day I stepped out for about an hour and during that time, a delivery was attempted. A card was left with a telephone number and the date 31/12. No tracking number. I called the phone number and got an answer message saying no attendant was there to take my call. I phoned repeatedly during the day up to 5:16 and the same response was given. I tweeted DPD Ireland in the interim who were very quick to respond and after finding out the tracking details from the only numbers I was given, I was assured by the representative who DM'd me, that the depot had been emailed, that they were notified that I was going to collect the parcel and that I would be arriving after 5pm. The representative also told me the depot would be open until 6pm. I arrived at 5:10. The gates to the road leading to the depot were shut. Lights were out. I took a photograph that was time, date and geotagged. Either the rep misled me (I don't believe so) or the depot staff closed up earlier than they should have and didn't inform HQ. I've just seen a revised date for my delivery - February 1st 2020. One Star is too much. The Twitter feed is full of other complaints about deliveries going awry. read more

I have to disagree 100% with the other reviewer. I have had a pathetic experience with DPD. I was waiting for a phone to be delivered this morning and waited in for the second day in a row only to be let down. The driver didn't ring the doorbell, knock on the door or use the contact number, just left a sorry we missed you card in the letterbox at the end of the driveway. I am now left with no phone and am going on holiday on Monday and so will be out of reach for the next ten days. I am so cross and worried that people won't be able to get hold of me in an emergency. Never ever depend on this company. read more

I have found DPD very reliable to deal with. Mark my courier is excellent and most helpful when it comes to leaving parcels if I am not available. The customer service staff are most pleasant and will try and find out where the parcel is and even will contact their courier to find out the time frame for your delivery. I really like this company. read more

Not a good experience and not good phone customer service. The company tried to deliver a parcel from John Lewis to me (24/12/14) and informed me about the delivery time. Since we could not be in at that time, we followed the instructions of the company to rearrange the delivery date (to 30/12/14). The company sent us a message with the arranged delivery day (30/12/14). All well up to that point. What happened was that they came again to deliver the parcel to us the day before (29/12/14) the arranged date and nobody was at home (since we were not expecting the parcel to come at this date). Since they tried twice, they decided to hold the parcel in their local storage place and not attempt to deliver it the date that was agreed (30/12/14)!!! When I called 08445560560 on 30/12/14 looking for the parcel, they ensured me that the item will be delivered to me on 2/1/15. On 2/1/15 I called them again and after a lot of misinformation by them (starting with telling me that they didn't receive the parcel yet!), finally I was told that the parcel is still in the local storage place and will not be delivered to me! I complained about the customer service and the guy at the phone (he wouldn't give me his name) told me that I had to either go and collect it from the storage place or they could deliver it to me 5/1/14. I complained that the storage place was far from my place and the answer I got was 'it's 15min drive only, it takes me longer to come to work every day!'. I find this unacceptable from a delivery company's customer service!!! He couldn't give me the phone number of the local storage place where my parcel was stored! So, at the end I decided to go and pick it up. This company needs to improve its customer service and make sure that the customers are happy! read more

DPD made an attempt to deliver a parcel to my address yesterday when I was at work. I telephoned to arrange for them to deliver the parcel today. I took the day off to wait for the parcel and rang around 11am to confirm they were delivering it. I was told by a member of staff that the driver forgot to pick it up and when I explained I had specifically taken the day off to received it, the member of staff said he would deliver it between 1 and 2pm. He asked me to leave my number and he would ring me when he was on his way. I left my mobile number with them later to discover my phone was not working and rang them back to give them another number and asked to speak to the person I had previously left my number with. The manager refused to put me through to him and asked me why the phone was not picked up this morning to be delivered to me. I told him I did not know as I did not work there and it was his staff he should be asking not me. He then proceeded to verbally abuse me over the phone. When I asked him is this the way he speaks to all his customers. He hung up on me! Well if that is the manager's idea of good customer service, God help the staff whom he is supposed to be managing, let alone the customers whom they are supposed to be serving. I will be relaying this poor customer service back to the people who have used DPD to deliver my parcel. read more

This company are shockingly awful, and it is an absolute wonder how the one positive comment is taken at face value, but the filtered review is far more accurate and yet isn't readily available. This company have lied to me directly, taken no responsibility for their failings and denied me basic courtesies that most other companies take for granted. I paid for a rush delivery of a carseat, because I am 32 weeks pregnant. It never arrived. After a full hour of googling, I finally found a contact number for them, and after 45 minutes of being on hold I was told that it needed to be "relabelled" and that it would be delivered the next day by 12pm. And of course, nothing turns up, and I've had to move midwife and doctors appointments because of it. I ring them again, and I'm hung up on. Twice. I call a third time and they tell me that my package is in fact "missing" in their Birmingham warehouse, and to add insult to injury, it went missing a full 16 hours before I was assured I'd have it by 12pm the next day! They refused to launch an investigation, they refused to give me anything other than an e-mail address to complain to, and refused to give me any kind of compensation at all. I wouldn't listen to the above review, as it sounds like a DPD employee trying to garner respect for an otherwise lackadaisical and very unprofessional company. I would never use them again, and have recommended to Amazon that they use a different courier service, because of the shoddy and appalling service offered. read more

Managed to catch today's driver on cctv stealing the parcel he was delivering and the call centre says they can't do anything until Monday... well ain't that pity your other customers are more important than those on my route who may get further parcels stolen read more
