I called DPC Veterinary Hospital to get information about cats getting spayed, and since I've never had a cat before, I had no idea how the process works. Jeanine was incredibly patient, kind, and knowledgeable. She took the time to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed or uninformed, and she was genuinely pleasant to talk to. We are often quick to write negative reviews, but not enough people take the time to recognize great service. Jeanine truly deserves the praise -- she made what could have been a stressful situation feel easy and reassuring. She was great! read more

Dr Weekes is a Cat Whisperer! He spoke baby talk to my 12yo kitty and her ears perked up and she listened to him! I have never seen her react that way to a Cat Doctor before. She let him squeeze her belly and check her internal organs. I was so happy that the visit did not traumatize her. It turns out she had an ear infection so he gave me antibiotic drops. I am so happy with this clinic that I will definitely only come here, even though they have dogs in the waiting room, too. read more

Be cautious with this clinic. While the staff is friendly, my experience was incredibly frustrating. They performed multiple unnecessary procedures on my dog and charged excessively--medications were nearly double the price you'd find on Chewy.com. I walked out with a bill over $400, and the original issue was simply flies bothering my dog. This price did not included blood work, which made it even more expensive. A standard vet visit should not cost more than $120. For something minor like treating a dog for flies, the total should realistically be around $100-150. Even if blood work is needed, it shouldn't exceed $150--my regular vet only charges $75, though it's rare to find such fair pricing now. It's unfortunate that so many clinics take advantage of urgent situations and leave pet owners financially overwhelmed. What made the situation worse was when we tried to negotiate or question the charges--they shifted the blame onto us, the client, rather than showing any understanding or willingness to work with us. There was no sense of remorse or effort to make things right, which was incredibly disappointing. Even simple services like nail trimming are inflated--what costs $10 at PetSmart was far more here. Sadly, our regular vet was closed that day, or we never would've come here. I strongly recommend asking for a full price estimate before agreeing to anything. Transparency and compassion are key in pet care--and this clinic lacked both. :( WE NEED TO STOP this abuse with clients. :( read more

I can't recommend this place. They either didn't care for my dog or they are not good professionals. He had pancreatitis and his kidneys were not great but under control. For an episode of pancreatitis they sent me home with pills and the recommendation to use the refills if he had a another flare up. Never offer Fluid Therapy, an important part of any treatment for pancreatitis. Well there were a second episode but this time of Kidney failure. All in one month. Reading more about this I found out that if the pancreatitis is not treated well kidney failure is a risk. An experienced doctor would have analyzed the whole picture, anticipate that complications can happen, and ask the owner to come back for a follow-up. But they instead sent me with refills telling me that a second visit would not be necesary. He had seisure and I took him to the ER and then there was nothing I could do to save him. Please get a second opinion. I don't have a life now. I trusted them and they failed me and my dog. read more

Don't go to this place! It's not a Clinic. It's a car dealership. They'll smile at ya and then give you "urgent" recommendations for minor issues with a thousand dollar bill at the end. I'm pretty sure the staff that attend to you get a commission, and they are forbidden to recommend anything outside of their over-priced products. Stay away! After being mistreated and over-charged by The VCA Animal Hospital, and thanks to the recommendation of Ashley M, my wife decided to take our fur babies here and leave the VCA behind for goods. Immediately after her first visits, she felt like she had finally found the right vet she was looking for. All the staff working here are friendly and helpful, and she really appreciate the attention and patience the vet, Dr. Michael Feldt had shown while taking care of our fur babies. Of course, other than the regular routine check-ups, we'd not want to come here unless our fur babies get sick. But if we had to take our fur babies to the vet, I'd not want to take them anywhere else but here. For example in today's visit, my wife discovered there were a couple small mass that need to be surgically removed. They first did a complete blood work in making sure our baby is okay to go into surgery. Then on the day of the surgery, we first met with the surgeon who examined our baby and gave us detail instruction on what we can expect before and after the surgery. The surgery itself might be seemed as routine because it's only expected to last 10 minutes, but as fur babies parents, we still have a little worries. But the staff and the doctors were so nice and accommodating which really put our worries behind. I am very happy to report that today's procedure went very well, and our baby is resting comfortably at home tonight. Thank you to the caring staff and the vets at the DPC Veterinary Hospital. DPC was recommended to me when we moved here, and I am so thankful for that recommendation. Dr. Feldt is the vet that we usually see and he is amazing! He is so thorough and gentle when he examines our cats and dogs. He explains everything and is receptive to all of my questions. We also saw Dr. Rivera once and she was excellent as well. The team at the front desk is always friendly and helpful. They always go above and beyond with a smile!! The nurses/techs are some of the most detailed and organized that I have encountered. We are brand new to town and had a dog emergency on a Saturday. The first place we called couldn't see her until Tuesday, but DPC worked her in within hours. They also did a thorough examination of her, catching up on her complicated history as well. They had excellent bedside manner and were way more thorough than I expected with a workin appointment. DPC has a great location, great office staff and for the most part a good service. What I do not agree on is the fact that Dr. Vincent LoDuca is still performing most surgeries. My dog died while having her teeth cleaned and agreed to remove a couple of front teeth while under the anesthesia. Dr. LoDuca called to said the my dog had 11 teeth that needed to be removed. I was shocked because she had been to a visit prior to the surgery to be assess, but I was then being assured that 11 teeth were bad for her health. One hour later I got a phone call that my dog was dead, I rushed over to the clinic to hold her lifeless body. Dr. Vincent LoDuca never entered the room I was in, apologize or offered a full refund. Over the following months I was devastated and demanded my money to which the only refunded me half of the total amount. Dr. LoDuca might know his way around surgery but lacks human kindness & professional etiquette with his clients, who hand him the extended 4 legged family members. read more

My favorite vet here is Dr Feldt! He is the most caring and compassionate vet that I've ever taken my pets to. He takes his time with your pet and always listens to your concerns. The one thing I really like about this place is they don't try to push procedures on your pet. Dr. Feldt always takes a conservative approach and tries to start with the things that are the least costly to you. That is another thing I like about this place, they give you an itemized estimate of what procedures will cost you and for the most part they're pretty reasonable. I highly recommend this place and if you can, try to make your appointment for your pet with Dr Feldt the only bad thing is he's only there on Friday. The only reason they lost ones star is because I have been a couple of other vets there and not that there was anything wrong with them it's just that I feel that Dr Feldt really, really cared about my dog. Today was our first visit to DPC with our beagle. DPC was recommended to us from our neighbor. After reading the positive reviews, we thought this was the place for us and boy were we right! Our dog is a rescue snd is very skittish. The first vet we went to wasnt exactly the best experience for our little guy (he freaked out!!!). The staff at DPC were so gentle and understanding, not to mention patient with me and my husband as we asked questions. It is comforting to know they are close by our house and available for any questions needed. We are very pleased with the care he received for his neutering. DPC has a very welcoming waiting area, plenty of parking and educated staff. You will feel at ease bringing your pet here. read more

The worst veterinarian I've ever been too. I should've known better because the very first day I went to take my pet there , someone else's pet had obviously died. The nurse came out spent two minutes with them and left the crying family outside in the rain. They were obviously very very sad & upset. Then it was my turn to take my pet in , they pushed some monthly plan idea on me & I almost signed up had it not been for them needed TWO credit cards. Sorry - I don't need or use credit cards. 150$ for an initial vet visit & they charged me for some dry food even though I never asked or wanted it. My cat does not even eat dry food. Fast forward about 3 weeks , I could tell something was off with my baby . So naturally , I made an appointment. I had assumed she ate something she shouldn't have , I told them this over the phone and they insisted I wait for an appointment. Few days pass and she's not any better , I tell them she had been nibbling in her food prior to the appointment but she wasn't eating or acting like her regular self. They took coco inside , after being 30 mins late to their own appointment with me & 3.5 HOURS Later , I get a call saying she needs an X-ray . They refuse my pet insurance & tell me the X-ray is 400$ . Basically not knowning what's wrong with my baby , I had no choice. 2.5 hours later I get a call telling me they cannot tell if it's food or something else in her stomach & I would need to fast her for the evening and bring her back tomorrow for another 400$$ X-ray !!!!!! I informed them she had nibbled on her food , if they wouldn't have gotten a clear result they should have made me fast her for the evening and only do 1 X-RAY . Nope - instead they told me they couldn't "read" the X-ray right & the radiologist couldn't tell if it was food or not. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST MONEY GUZZLING BUSINESS I HAVE EVER SEEN. THESE PEOPLE DO NOT CARE ABOUT YOUR PET, ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS YOUR WALLET. IF YOU THINK YOU CAN JUST TAKE YOUR PET HERE & THEY WILL HELP NO MATTER WHAT - YOU'RE WRONG. THEY WOULD RATHER LET YOUR PET DIE OVER GIVING THE PATIENTS OPTIONS FOR THEIR EXTREMELY OVERPRICED MEDIOCRE ASS SERVICE. All I had to do was give my baby some grass - she spit up what was in her stomach & if I would've went back to DPC veterinary clinic they would've done surgery on my cat and she didn't even need it . Let's give a huge round of applause for the grimey nasty woman who runs this facility . I'll never ever ever go back to this place & will be telling all of my breeder friends to never use her again. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND DPC!!!! EVERYONE in this hospital is amazing and caring. They saved my Baileys life. The nurses, front desk, Dr. Peter, and another Doctor that I can't remember her name right now we're so patient patient with me and Bailey. We came in Sunday morning in emergency panic and they put him on IVs immediately and even put a heater inside his area to get his temperature up to normal again. He stayed here for 2 days and then we took him home yesterday with medications. They followed up with me this morning as well. They are open 7 days a week. My oldest dog, Diamond will be 10 this week and this is the only vet she's ever been to. When diamond was 4, I got Dino and this is the only vet he has been to. I've recently priced around elsewhere ONLY because I've moved and this vet is a drive for me. But, I still don't find anything priced the same as DPC. They remain the most affordable (and I spend over $300 for my dogs yearly visits). The staff is really great here - honestly. They are fantastic with Diamond and Dino and that's what matters the most to me. The treat them both how I would want a vets office to. They baby talk them and give them kisses. That means a lot to me. There are a few dr's you can see here. The new location is a lot bigger than the old one. All of the dr's are good. I've seen all of them over the last 10 years. DPC Veterinary Hospital - Diamond and Dino - Veterinarians Near Me - Davie, Florida

Our usual vet does not have weekend hours and our cat had an emergency. Because of COVID, all the vets are doing curbside with the animals. Prior to bringing her to DPC, we took her to 2 other vets. The first vet (Caring Hands in Aventura) did not talk to us at all. They had a vet tech explain a massively large bill and seemed annoyed when we asked questions. Our cat left there worse than how we had brought her. She was super distressed and we were worried something happened that we could not see not being inside and present with the vet. Immediately, they sowed a seed of distrust and we were not comfortable having her treated there. We took her home and waited. She got progressively worse so we took her to VCA Hollywood Animal for an emergency at around midnight. She was doing worse and the vet there didn't want to touch her until we paid. We paid the consultation fee and even then she barely looked at the cat. She gave us a long list of things that would cost us $3000. When we said no, the vet stopped engaging with us and left us at the hands of the vet tech. Their techs are nice, but it just seemed like "ok screw you then." The following morning I was desperate. My cat was at the end of the line and I was so so so upset that we could not find someone competent that we could trust. I started looking away from the area and I found DPC. From the first call, their manager Nancy made us feel like we were welcome to bring in our cat, even though they had a busy schedule. They understood how grave she was. They literally gave us the same list that VCA gave us but at literally half cost or less. Yes, it was curbside and we had to hand over the cat, but the VET herself (Dr. Rivera) personally called and spoke to us and explained EACH procedure to us in detail. Needless to say, we felt she was in the right hands finally. We approved everything (we would have done so at the other places if we were given the same courtesy and treated like this isn't just a cat, its our FAMILY MEMBER). Our cat bounced back from her emergency so fast and we are forever grateful to everyone at DPC. They're amazing, so so so caring, and RESPECTFUL. I love my regular vet, and DPC made me feel like I was at my regular vet--like FAMILY. read more

This review is long overdue! My family and I have been part of the DPC family for years. They took great care of the first 2 dogs we owned, and have continued giving the ultimate care to Messi and Aegon. Everyone at DPC has been sweet, caring, kind and understanding of my emotional panics when my pups aren't feeling well. There is no way to thank DPC for everything they have done for us. Horrible place ! , the manager would rather let my elderly dog suffer or possibly die then see her because they were "busy "if could give them less than one star I would I have three dogs one of my elderly dogs had an emergency this morning when I called the manager told me they were about to go to lunch in 20 minutes and then when they reopen they're slammed so why don't I just take her to a random emergency clinic . I told her to her that I was uncomfortable taking her somewhere I could be there in 10 minutes before they closed and would rather take her to MY vet instead of a random place that didn't know her and that i didn'tknow.she told me they have a lot of paperwork to catch up on over lunch break and that I would have to wait a long time to be seen after lunch . I made an appointment for my litter of 4 puppies when they were 2 weeks old to make sure they had their first booster shots at 6 weeks, but unfortunately, the text message I confirmed, had the appointment time of 9:30 am. Apparently, there were 4 appointments booked every half hour starting at 8:30. So when I showed up at 9:15 for their shots I was interrogated by a rude office manager. She told me they would not see me and I had to re-book all 4 puppies and pay a $72 deposit on each puppy, even though there was no one waiting and I had already paid a $75 deposit when I booked the initial appointment. "FOUR" appointments for a simple shot on a small liter of puppies seems like overkill, and that's exactly what her attitude, was, "OVERKILL". I have never met a more horrible person. She should not have contact with the general public. ALL the other office employees cringed with the insults and uncalled-for behavior. Maybe it was my fault for not remembering a phone call I made 4 weeks before my appointment, but my text message said 9:30. And they took a $75 deposit that I will never get back. The sad part is I could have saved all this trouble by booking a $0 deposit appointment at Petco, which is where DPC should have directed me when I called to book the appointment since the puppies only need a simple booster shot and they clearly do not deal with puppy litters. They asked for puppy names when I booked, who knows the names of puppies that are to be given away in 8 weeks? I should have realized then that they had no idea how to handle this type of service and even less of an idea of how to treat people. read more

Amazing staff & Doctors. Dr. Felt & Dr. Cepero are wonderful. This is the only place I trust to take my French Bulldog. Super friendly environment, they care for your pet & are really supportive. Their prices are very reasonable, affordable & they also have payment plans. They also have a "Pet Desk" App that they update with all your pets tests, medications & upcoming appointment information you can keep track of.
