This office wasn't accepting new patients. The receptionist Suzanne could hear the desperation in my voice without me saying it. She got my little girl Lilli in to see Dr. Bennet on a cancellation. We had never been to this office before, but from the moment we walked in, the ENERGY was amazing. The two ladies at the front desk were holding two little dogs; the love they were showing those little ones was amazing. My Lilli began walking around checking the office out and a little dog came up to her and offered to show her around the place. I was stressed so this made me feel good. Dr. Bennet, Jill, Suzanne, and the other Lady (so sorry forgot her name) were so gentle with us. I know Lilli was not feeling good, she is 16 years old. Dr. Bennet was so thorough in her exam and testing, explaining images, blood work, and everything until I completely understood. My Lilli ended up having cancer that is now invading her other organs. I will go to this office to have them support me in releasing Lilli into heaven tomorrow. After leaving the office with this horrible diagnosis, the receptionist called me to comfort me for 45 minutes. That is service above and beyond!!!!! Thank you. read more

This place is a MUST if you have any kind of fur baby and need QUALITY and AFFORDABLE care. Dr. Bennett is AMAZING. She is honest, compassionate, and super efficient. (Plus her shoe game is strong - if you're into heels!) I went here for a canine dental cleaning, with some extractions being needed, and I left my baby feeling heard, valued, and comfortable. After being quoted ($1500-$2000) for this same procedure at a vets office I had been going to for over a year, I knew I had to look around. LUCKY for me I found Davie Clinic. I left Davie having completed the same procedure, plus 2 heart medications, all for $300. My cat and dog are definitely going to continue to be patients if Dr. Bennett. Updating my review as after reading it I can tell I let my anger get the best of me and did not proof read anything. Apologies to anyone who got confused and was like "bruh wtf are you saying right now". Short story is I pulled up to this vet to get shots for my Frenchie. Some lady thought I was scoping the place out as I had my windows down looking around to find my bearings so that I could go to another vet. "Concerned" she went into the building that was apparently closed for me but open for her to send an employee out to ask me if I needed help. At the time, I had a 10 week old Frenchie who desperately needed shots. They referred me to their emergency clinic which I declined. If you're closing cause of covid, reflect that on your Yelp and door hours so people don't waste time. And to that lady who thought I was going to steal her 15 year old Chihuahua, let's hang out so you can be less scared of people of color. read more

I'm a little unhappy with this clinic. The older lady at the front desk is so unfriendly and unwelcoming. She's rude and sarcastic and has hung up on me plenty. Dr. Bennett sometimes rushes her appointments and doesn't take time to listen to our concerns. She makes us feel like we are not valid and like our concerns are not an issue when, in fact, the concerns have turned into issues that could have been avoided if she took it more seriously. I dock 2 stars for the rude receptionist and 1 star for the doctor. My dog is still alive so I guess for that I give 2 stars. read more

When I first moved into the neighborhood, my next door neighbor suggested I take my pet here. It was the best decision I ever made. My pet received the best care. When my buddy became ill, they gave me percent chances of treatments and offered second opinions to be delivered the next day. I lost my buddy this week. The compassion and care that the staff gave me and my pet was unforgettable. I have the upmost respect for Dr. Bennet and Dr. Mitchell. The staff is great and I consider Becky my friend. After being a very satisfied customer of Dr. Mitchell's we are now writing this review of Dr. Bennett's office at Davie Veterinary Clinic in Davie Florida. We have always brought our dogs for annual visits and emergencies when needed and they have always been caring and kind to us and our pets. We recently are now on a fixed income and required to save money with our pets needed medicines. We found that we could save a bit of money by using an online service and so we put through to have a prescription called in to that service to help us. Unfortunately, Dr. Bennett refused to either give verbal authority or fax the prescription into the service that we needed but instead would only give us a hand written script at a cost of eight dollars per medicine that our dog required. They said this is because they sell the medicine in their office and they won't send fax or give verbal ok because it took more manpower then they had to do it for us and so we should come in to get them. As a courtesy for writing the Scripts we would need to pay eight dollars per medicine. We have to physically mail in the prescriptions ourselves to the new online service. There would be no exceptions made for any reason. When we got to the vets office, we saw that it took absolutely no time at all for the prescriptions to be written as I waited and watched them click a button on the computer and print it out. No refills would be written on the prescriptions. After inquiring around to other vet offices, I learned that there is no charge for this even if medicine is sold in house and they would be happy to work with the online service to get us our meds at discounted prices.Davie Vet stated that they have already given a written prescription to us and refused any approval over the phone or through fax as requested by online pharmacy but neglected to mention they charged us $8.00 per prescription. $16.00 total. I am disappointed as I have been using this office for almost 2 decades as well as my children and their pets. It is unfortunate that such a practice is likely to end our long standing relationship with Dr. Bennet as we will be charged $8.00 for each individual medicine every time we need to renew the prescription by our own doctor. read more

If I could give no stars I would. My mom and I have brought our animals there for multiple years. Dr. Bennet is great, but the owner Dr.Mitchell is as rude as they come, he is a old school pump them full of drugs to fix the "problem" type of doctor. He doesn't listen to a word you say, and if you oppose what he says he will kick you out as a client. Today he kicked us out as clients because I refused to let him give my moms dog an unnecessary steroid shot. He doesn't believe in food allergies and if you say anything otherwise he is rude and says "oh so you're an allergist now". We just recently did an allergy test on the dog because of his itching and we found out he has a chicken allergy. We checked his food and it had chicken fat. We immediately took him off the food but it takes 2 weeks to a month for allergies to disappear. In the mean time we took him to see our regular vet dr. Bennet for his ear, but apparently she wasn't available so we got dr. Mitchell. He is extremely rough with the dog, rude and very unprofessional, also seems like he's on something(very everywhere). If you're looking for a vet I would look otherwise. A vet should respect what you say and not kick you out for refusing a treatment that is not necessary. I am disgusted in how we were treated today. read more

Dr Mitchell is an old school type of veterinarian who doesn't sell you unnecessary medicines or procedures. His knowledge of veterinary medicine and his prognosis and explanation are excellent. I had moved away and returned after 10 years. So fortunate to have my dogs under his care once again. I did not find anyone this good in the last 10 years. He's the best! read more

We've been going there for 23 years and whenever we've gone to another vet. we're reminded of just how lucky we are to have them. Sad to say that the profession has turned into a money grubbing machine. The goal is to fleece the per owner at every opportunity. Not at Davey vet clinic! We have used Davie Vets for years. I can not say enough good things about them. From Becky at the front desk to the vet techs to Dr. Bennett and Dr. Mitchell. They are down to earth, no nonsense vets and we love that the most about them. They never try to get you to do unnecessary expensive procedures. We recently had to put one of our fur babies down. We scheduled a house call to make it more comfortable for the dog. Dr. Bennett and the vet tech showed such compassion and respect for our dog and us. They let us take our time and it was truly a peaceful, beautiful experience. I highly recommend this vet clinic! read more

Put quite simply, Davie Vet Clinic has real veterinarians (not volunteers or students) that do thorough and competent examinations without breaking your bank. They cared for my Dogo Argentino from the age of 7 weeks to the age of 3, when I moved from the area. Shots, occasional stitches, general examinations, and even follow up care from when he got out of the yard and got hit by a car. The prices are very fair and the location in Davie is convenient and easy to find. (right across the street from the Town of Davie planning, engineering, and utilities offices). Though they do not offer late night or extended weekend care, if an emergency arises, they do try to get you in with your animal as soon as possible. The only problem I have now is that they are not in my new location in Port Richey.(sic) read more

I have been going to Davie Vet for over 25 years and they are the BEST! They truly care about your animal and don't try to do unnecessary testing or surgeries. I have brought many of my pets to Davie vet over the years but recently brought a kitten that I had found that needed extensive surgery and they took amazing care of the cat including, one of the vet techs bringing it home with her at night.
