I have some serious health problems that I used to be able to just visit my urologist for help....,…read morebut that no longer works. The new medicine is Womens pelvic health, which includes gynecological and urinary. I've had a really bad patch recently and unable to make an appointment at the few places that are in our area right now servicing women with these problems ....there's only about three of them and one of them...Dr Molden, is a nightmare. You can see my review on that one. Completely on the other side of the fence, Doylestown women's center is compassionate, and so far, although I haven't had my appointment yet, but so far, they impressed me because they seem to believe in the promise they made to "cause no harm" When I called here, they were so empathetic to my situation, that while it was impossible to see the doctor at this moment, they fit me into one of her PAs and I am so looking forward to this group in my visit.

I switched to a new practice about six months ago after being a patient at Doylestown's Women's…read moreHealth for over 15 years. I am writing this review to warn other women about what they're getting into if they're considering becoming a patient there. Now that I'm seeing a new doctor, I can clearly see the difference between real patient care and the lack thereof. To start with, as others have said here, you have very rude people at the front desk who make you feel like you're bothering them just to check in, especially some silly girl named Gabriel, who calls herself an "associate." WTH? They hand you a clipboard with a million pages that you have to fill out for every annual exam instead of having this information in a system and just adding an update if needed. The "associates" let the phones ring while patients on the other end hear that ridiculous message "we're away from our desks or on other calls." Well, they're never away from their desks any time I've been there and since they never answer the phones they're not on "other calls." What they are very interested in is discussing the all-important lunch menu and what they'll be ordering that day. I was in the overcrowded waiting room for almost an hour listening to an inane conversation about salads while two patients were standing at the window with questions. I was a patient of Dr. Fitzgerald's and she seemed to be fine 15 years ago but she changed and I truly believe it's time for her to retire. Way overdue, actually. She had become cold and dismissive. Let me tell you how your exam goes with her...she'll march in, speak a mile a minute, never ask if you have questions or concerns, throw a mammogram slip at you, give a disingenuous smile, tell you she'll see you next year and breeze out of the room. She used to spend 10 minutes, at the most (that included the exam), with me and that's unacceptable. Finally, there were the "triage" nurses aka the gatekeepers. One in particular, Stella, was rude and completely incompetent. I've had medical questions where she said she "needed to check" and then never called back. One time, I received test results and wanted to speak with my doctor directly, but in order to reach Dr. Fitzgerald, you have to go through this person. At best, she leaves a message for the doctor to call the patient if you're lucky. There's no way of knowing whether she even passes along the message. Her repeated failure to follow up and communicate appropriately, Stella should not be entrusted with patient communication or any role that impacts access to care. Even when messages are passed along, especially regarding test results, it's ultimately Dr. Fitzgerald's responsibility to personally follow up with patients. Professionals don't act this way, and after all these years, a refresher in patient care may be necessary. Lastly, I want to say that I am not someone who jumps from one practice to another. After 15 years, I had no intention of leaving, but the situation became unbearable. I'm also not someone who typically writes reviews, but I feel others should be aware of my experience.

Christopher Gola In the quiet suburbs of Warrington,…read morePennsylvania, Christopher Gola and Rosemarie Antonelli shared a life built on routine, companionship, and a deep-seated resilience. Over the years, the short drive up Route 611 to Doylestown Hospital became a familiar trek--a path they walked together through the shifting season of their lives. Their journey with the hospital began in earnest in October 2013. As the autumn leaves turned amber across Bucks County, Christopher pulled their car into a familier parking lot. It was a crisp morning, and though the air was chilly, his hand was steady as he helped. Rosemarie through the sliding glass doors. The first visit set the tone of their bond. Christopher as the anchor, and Rosemarie as the navigator of her own health. By March 2014, the biting cold of a Pennsylvania winter was beginning to thaw. They returned to Doylestown Hospital for follow-up care. The staff began to recognize them--the tall man who always knew where the best coffee was located and the woman with the sharp wit who never complained about the wait. The visits became a rhythm of their existence. In April 2015, amid the blooming dogwoods of Doylestown, Christopher drove Rosemarie back to the Pavillion. He had learned the shortcuts through the hallways and the names of the nurses who favored Rosemarie's stories about Warrington. Each visit was a testament to his dedication; he was never more than a few feet away, a constant presence in the sterlie, quiet rooms. Two years later, the spring of April 2017 brought them back once more. The familier brick facade of the hospital felt almost like a second home--a place of safety rather than fear. Christopher moved with more deliberate care now, ensuring Rosemarie was comfortable as they navigated the appointment. Just a month later. in May 2017, they made the trip again. The drive from Warrington felt shorter this time, the landmarks along the way--the old farms and new shopping centers---blurring into the background. As they sat in the waiting room, Christopher held Rosemarie's hand, a silent promise that no matter how many times they had to walk through thoses doors, they would always do it together. Through four years and five distinct chapters at Doylestown Hospital, their story wasn't just one of medical appointments, but of an enduring partnership that turned a hospital corrider into a path of shared strength.

After they found out through blood work, just how sick he was, they admitted him. He laid in an Emergency Room bed for 26 hours, before they put him in an actual room. His ER room was a disgrace!!! Dirty linens thrown about and not his! Used disposable gloves all over the place, empty alcohol prep pad wrappers on the floor, tissues on the floor- all from the staff. The worst of all, full urine containers left on the side table where food is placed!! My husband was wired up and could not get out of bed. Every time I went to speak to a nurse, I found a nurse assistant behind the desk, on their phone!!! Not one nurse or doctor to be found. In all the time my husband spent in the ER, he saw two doctors for a total of 5 minutes. I was there when the second doctor came. As my husband asked the doctor questions, he kept looking at his watch. This made us feel very uncomfortable. My husband ate two meals while in the ER and both were ice cold. I called and complained and was told someone would be in his room, "immediately". Well, two hours later, no one came. I complained to the nurse about him not being in an actual room and was told the hospital was in a "code black" and there were no rooms. When I called to complain, I was told him being in the ER for 26 hours was unacceptable and there were rooms available. Finally, two hours after my complaint, he was taken to a room. This hospital was recently taken over by Penn Medicine and ever since, it has gone downhill. The food is awful, the nurses are unattentive, the doctors are disinterested and the ER is filthy. I really think a third world country can run a better hospital.

The process I had today made me look outside of Doylestown Health as a whole because of how unprofessional and MEAN the interactions at this location were. Here's a summary of my experience: I called the number to make a new appointment. This lady was nice and said they would call me back and took my name and number. A few hours had passed and their office had closed so I assumed they would call back on Monday since it wasn't mentioned that they could potentially call after hours. At 4pm, which is when the office closed, I stopped keeping a close eye on my phone. At 5:11 pm I got a phone call from a lady named Kimberly, who's phone call I missed, so she left a voicemail instructing me to call back and hit option 1 on the phone. I called her back within a minute of receiving the voicemail. I hit the number 1 option on my key pad and it automatically ended the call. I tried this again 3 times and it kept ending it so I concluded this wasn't the correct option. The first "option" listed on the automated message was to dial 7, which was the provider on call. This seemed a little weird for me to call the provider on call but that's what I was instructed to do so I did it. I called and the provider sounded less than happy to receive my phone call and in fact HUNG UP before I could even get a full sentence out. Clearly I wasn't supposed to call that number, but you would think the provider could have at least heard my first sentence and nicely said this is the wrong line for this and redirected me. It was clearly an accident and could have been handled a lot nicer and, most importantly, more professionally. I was extremely disappointed with the results I got from today's efforts. I would have been fine calling back on Monday to try to schedule. The fact that the providers were so quick to be rude made me instantly change my mind and look at Penn and Jefferson health. Maybe work on better communication and phone etiquette and you won't lose patients from a basic interaction!

Because the break is severe enough to needing surgery, my mom wanted to see an orthopedic specialist asap. My mom was going to go to Doylestown Hospital ED but someone from Tower Health supposedly told her that it would be POINTLESS to go because they would just do the same treatment as theirs. Instead, the provider referred her to Rothman Orthopedics located at Lankenau Medical Center, which is 1 HOUR AWAY at 3:30pm. HOWEVER, my mom did not leave urgent care until 3PM but supposedly they told my mom that as long as theres an appointment made, it will be okay. We rushed through heavy traffic. I assumed that my mother was aware of the office hours. We made it to Rothman around 4:15pm. The problem is that there were no doctors available because they closed at 4:30PM. While my mom is crying because of the intense pain, I called Tower Health for any other recs because their only recommendation was no good. The guy told me, "so what do you want me to say?" He could have at least said "go to the ED" and/or be EMPATHETIC to our situation. We could have avoided this whole shenanigans and hours of traveling by going to ED at the first place. The provider at Tower Health made poor recommendations -- the appointment that was arranged was impossible to make on time. My mother is not medical savvy so she took everything to what the people at Tower Health said to heart. I am a registered nurse so naturally I was appalled by how my mother told me happened . Showing empathy and compassion goes a LONG way to providing excellent patient care/experience. If I was the provider, I would have been realistic and even google the times the office is open. I think it is good practice to know the days/times the office is closed before making any urgent referrals. This would usually not bother me as much but because my mom was having 10/10 pain and walking around with a BROKEN WRIST, I can think of so many different ways her experience could have been and how they communicated to her. I would NOT recommend this place.

I was getting a little nervous at this point and feeling a bit panicked about getting help. I decided to take a chance and left a very long line outside in the freezing cold of another urgent care waiting for number and drove up to Tower Health to see how they were dealing with rapid testing. Immediately met an intake person (I didn't catch her name, sorry) said only PCR (which I didn't care, just wanted to see a doctor) and then later called me, as I waited in my warm car, (30 mins, and I know I would still be outside at the other urgent care waiting for only a number, and said the words I needed to hear: "You're up bud"! I have to say I felt a sense of relief, silly I know, but when you feel like you are coughing up your lungs and having difficulty breathing, and it's NOT COVID!, you begin to feel a little claustrophobic. From the intake person, to Mandy (nurse) and Sima Assefi, MD, I felt like I was surrounded by the "A" Team! Professionals each one, efficient, direct, fast, and personable to me the entire time. Made me feel like I was the only patient in the office, which of course I wasn't. Mandy walked me back, took my vitals and history, determined an initial course of action with Dr. Assefi, and done. Dr. Assefi then immediately swooped in, diagnosed me as having guess what? Bronchitis. Only by now it was pretty bad, worst case I've ever had, she immediately took aggressive action. Mandy put me on a Nebulizer for about 5-7 mins, Dr. Assefi came back in, listened to my lungs again and announced now I hear your lungs fully expanding! WOW! She gave me not just the one antibiotic prescription but two other drugs to get this kicked out of me, fast! I've been around healthcare a long-time, as in an - olderfart. The moment the PA walked into the room, he verbally dismissed my wife's serious symptoms, claiming that she "looked well" despite persistent high fever, intense chills, body aches, and overall malaise. He made up his mind almost immediately before performing any examination, which was evident from his condescending remarks and dismissive nature when faced with any questions or pushback from both me and my wife. The whole experience felt like an exercise in his inflated ego -- at one point, he asked me, "what do you do for work?" as a leading question, since I posed well-researched follow ups and concern and I am able to converse about medical topics. We came in with a specific concern about a bacterial infection since my wife had been exposed to the Delaware River right after a massive rainstorm. The timing for the onset of her symptoms, oscillating fever that would reach 102.2 then dip down to normal, intense body aches in back and legs, and chills that were causing her body to shake led us to want to rule out Lepto or another bacterial infection. Without even recommending testing, this PA deemed that it must be a viral infection. When I pushed for testing just to be certain (lepto can progress rapidly and cause death if untreated in some instances), he mocked me, minimized my concern, and told me he would write my wife an antibiotic prescription because I "wore him down." He said he could send a stool sample to be tested, but it would be a waste of money. As far as I know, a blood sample and a urine sample (the latter of which he had already taken) also work to test for lepto, especially early on. I paid for a professional medical opinion, and instead was faced with a giant waste of time and money. I am super disappointed and will actively tell everyone to avoid this location, especially this PA who practices with borderline negligent tendencies.
