We stopped in the lovely town of Vertus to visit the champagne caveau of Patrick Pougeoise…read more Patrick's daughter greeted us and explained in French their champagne making process. Later Patrick came out to say hello. His father, Charles, has a champagne caveau up the street. The champagne was fresh and delicious but what made the visit so special was the enthusiasm of the daughter who is carrying on the tradition of champagne making.
