Keep Wimberley Wierder!
This place is wild! It's a Texas Hill Country slice of paradise. This is an artsy community, located along the banks of Cypress Creek, and so close to so many swimmin' holes. There really isn't any tubing here in Wimberley, just going to these neat-o swimmin' spots so close to the downtown area. After swimming, it's a refreshing stroll to cruise the main square of downtown Wimberley!
There's a bunch of knick-knack shops, antique stores, art galleries, boot stores, foodie destination, restaurants, tchochkie shops, general stores. You can sense the history of this town with all the old-looking buildings around the square.
The nicest thing is that there are so many public restrooms that Wimberley has put in. Many of the places on the square offer drinks, and there's at least 2 public free restrooms easily available.
There seems to be some sort of organized effort to keep music playing on the weekends, with semi-professional looking schedules set up. These musicians just sorta hang out under the porches of various stores along the square. Be sure to check them out!
