There's nothing more you can ask or expect of this place. I only hope they can keep it up because this place is a true gem! I came here for an event thinking the food has got to be expensive. Boy was I wrong! They had a 2 hot dog special, with two bags of chips, and two drinks for $8! what an absolute steal! I couldn't believe it with my own eyes I honestly had to do a double take. It really was $8. Oh get this, they were also jumbo dogs on the buns which is just unreal. My friend and I were blown away by how cheap the food was as well as our insatiable appetite. We ended up getting a salted pretzel with cheese and they're loaded nachos. The pretzel was a standard pretzel, what more could you ask for $3 with cheese. On the other hand, those nachos were delicious. They were your typical movie nachos with beef on top almost a mountain to be honest. Plus there was sour cream and I got two healthy packs of jalapenos to put on them. Yum! I can't remember for the life of me if there was cheese on them or not but I do not recall. I should've and will next time add cheese to it because I'm that extra. I mean, for me, cheese belongs on everything. When I first spotted this building against the dramatic clouds and bright blue sky yesterday, my spirit soared. I don't even care if that's silly talk because that's how enamored I was with the view. "What is this place?" I had to pull in the lot and go inside. What I found were crafty-colorful witches greeting me.... I roamed along to where some voices were coming from and before I knew it, I was standing in an "old-school" gym/basketball court/auditorium. The space looked out of "Dead Poet's Society" or so like that. I backed up toward the wall to take a photo and whoa!! radiant heat from the grate (looks original!) on the wall. I was wrapped in all kinds of warmth. Further wrapped figuratively, by the one lady employee who saw me marveling at this place. She began telling me all about the programs, the fitness center and you could tell she loved her job, the city of Chicago and the place she worked. I don't have much experience with the Lithuanian culture, scratch that, I don't have ANY experience…read morewith the Lithuanian culture so I was intrigued by this place with signs in a very unfamiliar language. This was the ceremony site of a friends wedding and it was a great choice. Very cute little cathedral with very high ceilings that connected at an angle. The father speaks Lithuanian so he can perform a dual language ceremony for you (and apparently they have classes in the language here as well). Beyond the cathedral this place is huge! Classrooms, bathrooms, a bathroom with a tub and shower, a kitchen, a beautician on site, a banquet hall, and a dining room that leads out onto a lawn with extra seating. We had the rehearsal dinner here with traditional Lithuanian food, wine and beer catered in (so alcohol is allowed). Definitely a place to keep in mind if you are looking for traditional Lithuanian. i sveikata!

The community center is attached to Middlefork Elementary school, the gym is a really good size…read more Bathrooms were spectacular, modern, clean and smelled good :). Plenty of parking available in the lot. There is a picnic shelter, baseball diamonds, playground. Came here for the Boo-Bash! It was a good time interacting with the community. There were many carnival games suited for young children. The staff and volunteers (mainly Jr Higher's from Sunset Ridge) were all wonderful and welcoming. well done event - crafts, balloon artist, cookie decorating, indoor games (really good since it was quite cold), candy prizes, and a great PG rated play-list.
