I rarely give 5 stars on anything so this is a huge exception. And I'm really impressed and humbled. At about this time last year, my fiancee and I were in an auto accident coming back from a friend's holiday party. I was driving and there weren't that many other people on the road close to Diamond Bar. What wound up happening was a mistake by another car that didn't see me. I went around a white Dodge truck and went to merge back into the lane I had just left. There was a grey Cadillac in the adjacent lane that hadn't moved. As soon as I merged back, the other car started to merge too. They couldn't see me because I was likely in their blind spot, but the driver merged without any blinker or signal. I tried to get out of the way but I couldn't and crashed into me. I lost control of my car and wound up hitting the guardrail. From the impact of the accident, I was left with a broken collarbone, dislocated shoulder, and a lingering headache that later turned out to be a mild concussion. The damage was too much to deal with immediately afterward, since it hurt to breathe and I could only effectively move my left arm at the time. An ambulance came and took me to the hospital in Pomona where they put my shoulder back in its socket, repaired my collarbone, and gave me a lot of pain meds. My fiancee only had cuts and bruises, thankfully, and she walked away without any real physical damage or lingering injuries. It took time, but I knew I needed to lawyer up for this. I knew the cost of the treatment was going to be expensive, so I looked for a car accident attorney in the Los Angeles area and came upon Daniel and the Law Group through a friend of mine. He was very helpful in everything he did. One of the first things he said to me was that he promised he would bring me everything I needed, and he meant it. He always kept me updated on the progress of the case and he didn't make any decisions without informing me first. I was very glad for how involved he was in my case and for how much he seemed to care about Ivy and myself. After a few months of negotiations, Daniel came back to me and said that he had gotten the insurance company to pay out the full coverage. I wasn't going to pay for any of the damages that the other driver caused, which included my medical bills, the repair costs for my car, and gave me some piece of mind. Thanks to Daniel I saved a ton of money and didn't have the added stress of a lawsuit after the incident. My fiancee and I are so happy that we came to the DTLA Law Group and we truly recommend them to everyone after all they did for us. read more

I am grateful to Downtown LA Law Group because they are professional, knowledgeable and get results.

I hired them to represent me in a pregnancy discrimination case against my employer. Unfortunately, I was not satisfied with the representation I received from Lily (and other lawyers). I felt I unvalued throughout the process with my lawyers. The lawyers failed me. They wanted me to start representing myself throughout the whole case, and wanted me to fight my own case. They demanded for me to sign a form and they withdrew themselves from my case. It was that easy. Despite initial assurances, I never felt like the lawyers genuinely cared about my case or its outcome. I spoke with multiple lawyers to the point that I didn't even know who was my original lawyer. The lack of empathy and understanding was evident in our interactions, which made an already difficult experience even more challenging. Overall, my experience with them was disappointing. I hope this review will caution others to carefully research and evaluate a law firm before hiring them. read more

I would definitely recommend this group. I had a previous lawyer for 2 1/2 years and would never get calls or emails returned. I had no idea what was going on with my case. I couldn't find another lawyer to take my case because they felt that my lawyer had done to much damage that they would be held responsible for. I saw the for Downtown LA Law Group and decided to see if they would take it. Not only did they take it but my case manager Jessica Rosales called me up and started everything rolling explained everything explained my rights explained what I could ask for in less than two months I had a settlement offer and we countered. She returns every phone call every email and record time I feel respected and she is always so kind. I feel like she is actually working for me. read more

my personal experience with a lawyer has not been a positive one. If your looking to do the research regarding your case, such as time management, drs references, etc etc than you'll be a good fit. I wasn't wanting to know or experience anything negative..but when I have to call you to try n get an update, there is something not right. on top of having to call , 85% of the time, NOBODY is available to speak to you..I was promised something to only find out they used a marketing gag to pull me in..If your looking for many headaches, if your wanting to feel alone during this process , you have come to right place..one thing they will do, is advance nickels and dimes to pacify you..And keep in mind there is only one person that'll look out for you, even before you. is GOD!! keep in mind that lawyers have lots of money because of people like us.. be selective with who you want to represent you, stick with 1 lawyer if possible..and never be afraid to say how you are feeling and thinking and keep a personal journal with your own notes day to day. Good luck and be wise not gullible...saddened and still awaiting my billing statement and settlement check. Know your rights and don't believe everything they tell you, cause youll only be disappointed.....Don't have any expectations ,,,, So you have no disappointments....Good luck with whom you choose any pray it's the right one.., &&&&& this is my personal cry &&&& not for entertainment purposes!!$$!!! read more

Just had a really weird call with them they had sent me a message saying that I had an open case with them for a lawsuit, I called and I didn't have an open case with them. Honestly don't really have anything good to say about this law group , I had them do my lemon law case for my car .. They told me they had lots experience and it will take 4 months to do a Lemon law case .. At the time I had another lawyer I was working with at the time they had me fire them cause they told me they had lots more of experience and they can get me what I deserved.. from the beginning from the beginning 4 months turned to 6 months, 6 months turned to 8 months . When I called they always gave me the run around.. when I called no matter what time it was Allison was always in a meeting and she never calls back Matt I think was my main lawyer that is how crazy this was I don't even know who my lawyer was cause I got tossed around so much .. It took a year and 1 month so I got my car paid off that was good they gave me what I paid in to the car like car payments they told me I will get my registration paid also I never got that .. also another thing I for got to mention they received my check from the car manufacturer I had to wait 3 weeks for them to send me my portion .. Something is going on with this place. My case took over 2 years to get "resolved" and even then it was not a favorable outcome for me. I feel they did not represent me well. Aside from that, I did get a small settlement but to this day I have not been issued the money. I keep calling and can never speak with anyone besides reception. I have sent multiple emails, none of them have been responded to. I have, in writing, their process for payment and they are totally out of compliance. Every time I try to reach out I get a different story form reception. I did get a text once and it was just to confirm they had received my message. I DO NOT recommend this law group at all!! Earlier this year I was on my way to work when I stopped at a red light. When the left turn arrow turned green I went through, but someone else ran the light from the opposite direction and broadsided me. I banged my head off the window and suffered a broken rib and some fractures and sprains. The driver tried to ask me if I was okay and then drive off but fortunately other people were there and blocked him in. I got his information and started to look for a car accident lawyer to help me get a settlement. Sal at DTLA Law Group took my case and was the best. He listened to me when I told him what happened and immediately got to work. A few weeks later he said he had gotten a very good settlement offer from the insurance company because they were not pleased with how their client acted, and it was another accident he had that year. I was stopped at a red light after a long day at work. I was anxious to get home. Before I knew it I was suddenly pushed into the intersection and heard a loud crash and felt my body surge forward. I realized immediately that I was hit from behind. I was lucky that no cars were coming through the intersection and when oncoming traffic did see what happened it formed a lane to go around the accident. I cracked my head against the window when the car behind me hit me and I had a ton of immediate and searing back pain. Someone tried to get me out of the car but I was unable to move a lot because of my back. I was taken to the emergency room where I found out I had a badly slipped disc in my back, a concussion, open wounds on my head, and the potential for other spinal cord damage. The doctor told me that if my disc problem persisted, they may need to do fusion surgery. I went searching for a car accident lawyer after I got the news. I found the Downtown LA Law Group and spoke with Sal about my case. He told me that there was a high chance that my claim would be successful, especially with his assistance. He said that drivers in rear end accidents are almost always liable for the accident except in certain case, It was found out that the driver who hit me was driving after having a few beers and he was fully incapable of safely stopping. I got his contact info from the police report and I gave the details to Sal. He filed a claim against the man's insurance agency for coverage for my damages. Because the insurance agency apparently had problems with his guy before they paid out my claim. I suspect that they may have dropped him from their coverage. Sal made sure that I was fairly compensated and that the appropriate party was punished in this scenario and I was glad that I found the team at the Downtown LA Law Group. read more

I was out food shopping at the grocery store last year in the early hours of the morning before I had to go out and run other errands. I was in the frozen food section looking for ice cream when I slipped and fell. I had found my ice cream and went to walk off, but one of the freezers had probably had a defect or malfunction or something, since there was a small puddle in front of it. It was the only freezer that had the puddle, as I noticed from where I was laying on the ground. The fall was very fast and very hard, but what was more damaging was the pain I felt in my knee.Even though I landed hard on my side, I had placed a lot of weight on my leg when it slipped. It already wasn't the most stable knee because of a long time spent playing football in school, but I had never had any injuries that sidelined me for a time. When I fell, I could not stand up on my own and I couldn't brace on anything. I called out for help and an employee came. I told him I felt like I popped something in my knee, and he needed to call a paramedic. When he went off I thankfully remembered what everyone had always told me about falls - to take a picture quickly so you have proof, since the store could quickly clean everything up and blame you for the accident. I took out my phone and snapped the puddle from two different angles. The employee then came back and said that the ambulance was on its way. At the hospital, they did an examination and a CT scan. It turned out that I had a torn ACL in my right knee, which is a very bad injury to suffer because of the small ligaments and how much wear and tear you go through in everyday life. The healing process is a few months and it can get tweaked very easily. A lot of people try to come back from the injury too soon and wind up damaging it even more and prolonging the recovery period even longer. I went through with the treatment as slowly and painstakingly as possible because I didn't want to suffer anything that would stay with me for the rest of my life. Of course, this was expensive, and I needed to get surgery and rehabilitation for weeks. I couldn't return to my job at a school where I worked as a gym teacher, since I needed to be mobile and escort students. I was going to be unable to do a lot for a long time. I needed help paying for all the expenses and I felt like a lawsuit was the best choice. So I hunted for a slip and fall attorney in Los Angeles and came across the Downtown LA Law Group. I called and the secretary connected me with Farid at once. He and I talked for a while about the case, the laws that grocery stores and other properties have to adhere to, and what the legal process is like. Because I had some evidence of the incident, Farid said I had a better claim than most people usually do. Even my presence of mind to take photos was a great help. Farid said he would be able to represent me and I finalized all the details with him that day. The biggest help that Farid gave was assurance. I knew that he was a good lawyer because of how extensive the track record was and how high his ratings were, but I still wasn't sure how the lawsuit would play out. Anything could happen that would make us lose. He always let me know that we were in good shape and that he and his team were doing everything they could to negotiate the best settlement for me. He called me with updates throughout the case and I was never unsure of what was happening next. A few months after the claim was filed, the grocery store's insurance agency settled with us for a large sum of money. I didn't have to pay anything out of pocket for the legal expenses and I didn't have to spend any money on the hospital fees and other debts. I couldn't be happier with how the case turned out, and I have Farid to thank for that. I can't recommend the DTLA Law Group enough. read more

I had my motorcycle license for a few years before buying my own bike. I used to simply ride my father's from time to time because I didn't have the money to afford my own, but when I got a new job I could finally make the splurge and purchased one. I had it for about six week when I got into an accident. I was first in line at a red light. I didn't have a GoPro on my helmet at the time or anything on my bike that would record my trips. While I was waiting, a few cars proceeded through the yellow and red turn light. As the light turned green, I sat up and went through, when someone else in the opposite direction chose to run the red signal. He came from behind the line of cars waiting to go straight opposite me and switched into the turn lane and went through. I knew they had no green arrow on the side because both turn lanes have specific signals. The car that hit me sped out and turned in front. I swerved hard to avoid it but didn't have far to go, since oncoming traffic was on my left and same side traffic was on my right. So I wound up hitting the car. He was blocked from leaving by another car. I flew over the roof of the car and landed on the other side. I broke my leg and sprained my wrist, and my back was in a lot of pain. It turned out I had ruptured two discs in the impact. Thankfully my helmet prevented any severe damage to my head, so I was able to stay conscious and didn't have a lot of memory problems or anything. The ambulance showed up and took me to the hospital. The driver was ticketed. At the hospital I was told I would need surgery on my leg. It was a compound fracture, or broken in a few places, so I was going to have to be in a cast for a few weeks and would need physical therapy afterwards. My bike had to go to the shop immediately too, because the front wheel had taken a lot of damage and the frame was bent. The handlebars were also really scraped. I needed a lot of repairs done, which I was not happy about because I had just bought it. But more importantly I was glad to be alive because I know how dangerous motorcycle accidents can be. I searched around for a lawyer who could help me with a lawsuit against the driver. I found Sal at the Downtown LA Law Group. I called and he listened to me and asked questions about the case. At the end of the call, he said there was a lot of promise there and that he could see a few different ways to success. So I hired him and we talked more about the process. I sent him the evidence I had and he got everything moving to file a claim with the driver's insurance company. They were very resistant a first and tried to say that the driver had the right of way and that I ran the light. But we had more than enough proof that I was going through the green light and he was driving recklessly. The ticket was also proof of that. They eventually tried to make us an offer for only a few thousand dollars, which would not have covered the medical bills I was looking at. Sal fought them for a long time, negotiating a lot and telling me that the best deal would be total coverage. I knew that I would be willing to take a small sacrifice if I had to, like not paying for the bike, but Sal was adamant about making sure I wasn't on the hook for anything. A few months later, he proved to be right, and he called me to say they were going to send us a check for the total amount we requested. My bike could be fully fixed and nothing would be owed on my medical bills. I can't thank Sal enough for everything he did on the case and making sure I was fairly paid. Not having to pay a bill after an accident is truly a relief. read more

The first time I was in a car accident, I was a fairly new driver and I didn't know what I should do. My parents helped me through the process but I was not able to recover anything for my damages. I wasn't in another accident until years later when someone rear-ended me in a parking lot. I decided I needed to get professional help to recover the damages since I was not able to go without them this time. I called the DTLA Law Group and spoke to Dan. I told him what happened - someone suddenly rammed into the back of my car when I was waiting to turn into a spot at a mall. There was no way they didn't see me, so they were probably not paying attention or texting. Dan took my evidence and wrote a letter to the insurance agency requesting coverage for the damages. I had a small bout of whiplash from the accident, so I needed treatment, and the time away from work added up, as did the medical bills. Dan managed to get the full debts paid off from the insurance agency. In the end I could not have asked for a better car accident lawyer than Dan at the DTLA Law Group. He helped me when I needed it the most. read more

I was eating dinner with my family at a restaurant downtown when someone spilled something on our table. I had to get up to go to the bathroom to clean it off, but when I came back from the bathroom, I slipped and fell in the hallway. I cracked my tailbone and slammed my head on the floor, leading to a concussion. It was very hard for me to remember what happened afterwards because the concussion really affected my memory of that day. I do remember falling but I can't recall specific conversations with anyone. The pain was apparent though and I can remember that clearly. My family heard me yell out when I fell and went to help me. Fortunately, my husband has been in this situation before, and he knew exactly what to do. He managed to get statements from all the workers and interviewed them. Someone had spilled a tray of drinks and didn't clean it up - instead, he went on break. The corridor to the bathroom was in full view of one part of the restaurant, so a few guests saw me fall. My Husband asked them to write down their statements and testimonies, and also to see if they saw the waiter dropped the tray of drinks. One had noticed it and could back us up. He took a lot of pictures while I was being treated and He made sure to let the manager know that we would be requesting the security footage. At the hospital, it turned out I broke my tailbone and they were worried I had a severe brain injury. The treatment for the tailbone was slated to last a few months and I had to be monitored to make sure my mental health did not deteriorate. They gave me a lot of memory tests and such to see if anything was compromised. Thankfully, it wasn't, and my concussion was downgraded to mild. I still could not be exposed to bright lights because of how sensitive I was and the doctors recommended that I avoid driving for a bit. The cost of the visit to the hospital, paired with the ambulance ride and the subsequent visits and treatments, was a lot of money. I also wasn't going to be able to return to my job as a lighting operator at a theater for a while because of how much movement I needed to do and because of my sensitivity. All the expenses added up and we were struggling to find a way to pay for it all. So we decided to look for a slip and fall lawyer, and in the midst of our searching, we found Sal at the Downtown LA Law Group. I called the office and Sal sent for an Uber for us to use to go meet with him. We talked about what happened at the restaurant and what I wound up suffering through. We also outlined all our losses and expenses. The restaurant hadn't been too responsive with us in the meantime, and Sal assured us that he could help. So he took on our case and began to make some calls to the necessary people. He had experts testify on our behalf and made sure there were other perspectives available besides our own. Most importantly, he spoke with the restaurant until they released the security tapes. He then called the insurance agency and explained the situation to them. He submitted the claim and waited the few weeks for them to look it over. He told us that the insurance agent initially made a very unreasonable offer that wouldn't even cover half of our expenses. He told them that the restaurant was so clearly at fault that there should be no question about what should be covered. They argued a lot for a few weeks until one day Sal told me that my check was in the mail. He had managed to come through and convince them that they owed coverage, and if they disagreed, he would see them in court. With Sal's help, my husband and I didn't fall into any debt and the medical bills and other expenses were fully paid off. Sal even won pain and suffering damages to cover the emotional trauma I went through, since it was one of the scarier accidents I've been in and it took a toll on my mental health. Everyone at the DTLA Law Group was extremely helpful and I couldn't be happier with the results, especially with how Sal treated us and managed the case. read more

Daniel at DTLA Law was there for me after I got hit by a truck while on the freeway in Los Angeles. He organized all the evidence for the lawsuit and had it in action within a few weeks. I was glad that he was so speedy because I have never filed a claim before and didn't know the first place to start. He invited me to the office so we could talk about the case and he laid everything out for me in simple terms. Since the truck was trying to merge into the left lane and was going over the speed limit of 55, the driver could be held wholly responsible. I hadn't done anything to place myself at risk and it was all the driver's fault, so there was a good chance we'd win with ease.
