I strongly caution anyone that has a child with dietary restrictions to think twice about enrolling their child in this facility. They do not respect parents wishes or children's needs with regard to food. If your child is vegetarian or lactose intolerant be especially careful due to the fact the try and feed your children "hidden" products to which they are unable to consume. Some examples are dairy products in mashed potatoes or vegetables cooked using Ham. Even when caregivers are aware of the restrictions they will feed your preschooler items they are not supposed to consume. When I expressed my concerns to the director's attention my concerns were labeled as "unfounded" and met with a hateful tone.

Since attending, our daughter learned sign language, practiced yoga, learned Spanish, and made a ton of friends/attended multiple birthday parties. She loved her teachers, the school is very secure, and is in a wonderful location nestled near some woods, but still in a convenient Yorktown location. My daughter even came home one day with tomatoes from their garden! We got tadpole updates daily with photos (LOVE that as a working mom) and the school communicated super well during COVID spikes. I have extremely high standards for the people who care for my children and Goddard exceeded all of them!

My daughter was well behaved but has ADHD. At the time she was too young to be diagnosed. My daughter had been screened for autism and she did not have it. One of her teachers who was not trained in child development nor mental health took it upon herself to hand write me a rude note and leave it in her bag telling me she thought she had autism. It was unprofessional, and frankly offensive. The staff claimed they addressed it, but the teacher never apologized. My daughter was treated like an outcast by some of teachers (not all.) She had 2 really great teachers. I wish she could've just stayed with them instead of moving forward. A lot of the teachers lacked compassion and seem overwhelmed. I can very honestly say that instead of trying to support my child they deemed her as not good enough. She wasn't ill behaved. She didn't hit or kick other children. She simply struggled with not sitting still and focusing. They made me feel like my daughter was defective. Goddard didn't help my daughter the way I expected. It was a disappointing and pricey experience. Now that she's in public school her teachers love her and she's at the top of her class. That's not because of Goddard. That's because she's in a better environment. One more thing, you will be charged during the holidays when they are closed. Get ready to pay even more for additional childcare during that time.

My daughter started crying at drop off again and that was a first sign. Next, she was left with her t-shirt and swaeter wet until her lips turned blue at home when I noticed her arms were frozen,after I picked her up when she was still napping at school. I obviously asked the teachers to change her but this happened again twice until I noticed at pick up one day and confront led them right away. Turned out they didn't care and had no intention to change her. I reported it to the director, that didn't care and didn't intervene (long story short). Had a bad feeling when I sent her to school the day after so I watched her on camera only to see that my fears were justified: she was neglected care the whole day, no diaper change and no visual contact when she started crying cause a kid pulled her arm and after 30 miutes no response of either teacher, then she was crying following one of the teacher around, and this teacher turned to her, bent down and moved her head and hands like if she was yelling at her and then ignore her again. After plenty of calls (they didn't respond for over 50 minutes) and message via app (that director saw but lied about), the director showed up to take care of my daughter and I left work to pick her up and find her diaper and pants wet. Director lied, supervisor didn't care, and your kid might be the next one cause no intervention for the teachers behavior either. I can't recommend the center and want to share my experience if can help the next kid to avoid emotional abuse and neglected care.
