Churros Don Abel has been on my list for some time, and we finally came last night! We were…read moredeciding between #1 (10 churros) and #4 (6 churros with strawberry, condensed milk, and caramel). We opted for 6 churros because it was just two of us. The churros were so good - crunchy texture, great size, and perfectly sweet. The sauce, which we asked for on the side, was good but sometimes too sweet - so I'm glad we asked for it separately. It looks like cost has gone up recently. It took some time to order since they make it fresh, which was fine for us. There was a crowd of about 5-6 other parties waiting on the street for their churros - so you'll be in good company! Next time, we said we'd order #1 with a group of 4. I love churros as much as the next person, but I think I need to share them with more people!

This food truck is on the street, but there's ample free parking at a nearby lot and other food trucks sharing the same curb and area. I ordered 5 regular churros for $8 which was a bit pricey, but not too bad. This portion size I got was not on the menu and I inquired about these since I was looking for the lowest quantity of churros as possible. The churros were overall good and tasty. Crunchy, sugary, and fried nicely. They did taste a bit oily though, but it is a fried treat after all. These were still too much for one person though. If I had to try it again, I would want to get some sauce since I felt like it was missing those as well as bring another person to share them with.

I wished the pineapple pieces were a little larger. Service was quick and efficient. They did have a few rags next to the dishes (as seen on my video) which was minus a star for me. I know it's street food and that's expected. Overall good tacos. Street parking only. Good thing is they have a few tables next to them to sit and eat.

Parking was fairly easy, I found street parking. Tacos were solid. Al pastor tacos, 7.8/10: Meat itself was spot on. Smoky, flavorful, wasn't overcooked. Paired super well with the piece of pineapple on top. The tortillas though were a bit soggy from all the juices, it didn't hold up well. Wish they let me customize the salsa, since the guy put a large scoop on. That being said, I did like how the tortilla soaked up the juices and marinade from the pork. Maybe it soaked it up a little too well. Salsa also was a bit watery. Asada Mulitas, 6/10: The melty oaxaca cheese they used was great with the asada. The asada itself was tasty and they did not skimp on the amount. Add some chili and salsa verde on top for a little kick. At other spots in the LA area, I've gotten mulitas that have been assembled and put back on the grill for a crispier tortilla. But this spot didn't do that, so I was missing on that texture experience. I have the same criticism about the soggy tortilla. Really brings down the score for me. Horchata, 8.5/10: I thought their horchata was superb. Tasted the rice, cinammon, and milk. It wasn't watered down at all. It was a great drink to offset the chilis and grilled onions.

I did notice there's now a small fee for using credit or debit cards, so cash is probably appreciated. I also love that the restroom has a kids' changing table and plenty of space for a stroller--super convenient for families. My partner has gotten the quesa tacos the last couple of visits, and they're amazing with that crunchy shell. Just note that the consomé is an add-on, even with the birria plate. And definitely try the cucumber water--it's refreshing and not too sweet. Worth stopping by if you're in the area!

Instead of responding respectfully, she immediately gave me an attitude and started lecturing me about their policy that no one can use the restroom unless they buy food. The problem is we WERE customers -- my husband was literally inside picking up our paid order. Even after I explained that, she kept arguing and said that next time my husband should take my son with him to use the restroom, which made absolutely no sense. Policies are one thing, but the way Norma spoke to us was rude, dismissive, and completely unprofessional. A business that treats customers like this over a child needing to use the restroom clearly does not value basic courtesy or respect. Very disappointing experience

Ever since I first tried this food truck after moving to East LA, I've been completely sold. I'm the type of person who stays loyal when I find something I love, and let me tell you... this place has me locked in. I honestly don't go anywhere else for birria anymore. My go-to every single time is the 3 birria tacos plate with their flavorful consommé. It never misses. The tacos are perfectly crispy, packed with meat, and paired with that rich, savory consommé. It's always satisfying, filling, and priced fairly compared to other spots. Service is consistently quick, friendly, and reliable. I've personally never had an issue with any of my orders, which says a lot. The food truck itself is always clean and well-maintained, with a menu that's easy to read (and includes pictures. I also love that they've been putting effort into improving the outdoor seating area. There's a good amount of stools to sit, and the tarps provide lots of shade, making it a great spot to actually sit and enjoy your food. Overall, they're doing everything right. In my book, they're undefeated... and will stay that way until I find something just as good. I stay recommending this spot to everyone, do not sleep on it!

I don't know if its chivo though since it was not gamey at all so I think they serve beef. Other than that - no complaints at all.
