My daughter was severely bullied by one student in particular and the school did - what I felt - was not enough. Any time I expressed these concerns or concerns for my child's safety, I was told that "what I'm not seeing or hearing is the improvement that this child has made since the beginning of the year. I'm only hearing the negative things that my child is telling me". My child was held down by her hands and stomach and choked (the students had to spend their next recess writing an apology letter) and threatened that "her mom" was going to be killed, by the same kid. This kid was known as a bully and had choked other students before, would pull other students' hair, harass students, and say/do extremely disturbing things. My daughter told me about that this student told another student that he "couldn't wait to shoot her". She also told me that this student had choked another student in the past. Now, keep in mind that by the time he's choking my daughter, it's his second time with his hands around another student's throat and what was his punishment? Missing his next recess to write an apology note... to my 6 year old who couldn't even read. Once I was able to get my daughter out of the school, I filed complaint after complaint, report after report, etc. What were the responses I got? Well, it's a private school so we can't regulate what happens unless someone gets hurt or something illegal happens. My favorite response was from the school's accreditors when I went to file a complaint. They said that since my daughter is no longer enrolled there, it goes against their policy. So now, I do the only thing I can think of, warn other parents. If you are thinking of enrolling your kid at Christian Chapel Academy, ask them what their bullying policy is. MAKE SURE THEY ARE WILLING TO CONSIDER THE SAFETY OF THE STUDENT BODY OVER ONE STUDENT, NO MATTER THE "PROGRESS" THAT STUDENT IS MAKING! This behavior is in a 5 YEAR OLD should be incomprehensible!!! Yet they made me feel like a controlling, helicopter Mom.

Every day presents a new learning and socialization opportunity. The teachers have a curriculum that they follow yet they are flexible enough to suit your child's needs; kids get plenty of variety with their meals/snacks; they get outside when the weather is nice enough and there isn't a doubt in my mind that my kids will be more than ready for kindergarten when that time comes. The amount of things that they have already learned is pretty incredible. Sure there is some turn over occasionally with the teachers but I don't know a large daycare provider that doesn't have this same issue. Some of the staff that have left have even come back. Overall the teachers and staff are fantastic and I would recommend End of The Rainbow to anyone that is interested in sending their kids to an environment where the teachers and staff truly care about the children.

CMS set aside time to take me on a tour and answer all my questions. After I decided to enroll my child they facilitated an observation with me and my child to spend time in each of the three preschool rooms which allowed me to decide which room to place my child in. They even let us come back and spend the morning with the class to help with the transition. They always made time for us and my child is happy and in the right environment. Everyone from the administration to the teachers helped us while making the big decision on choice of education and care. Three months later and we couldn't be happier. It's an amazing community of parents, children and educators dedicated to success of the children and their implementation of the Montessori philosophy.
