This was my first visit to this store. Being a regular bin store shopper, I was looking forward to…read morecoming to a bin store in this area. I pick up a few $1 items that weren't that great of a deal. Here are my thoughts: Pros-The register staff was very nice, she explained their prices and the exceptions. The store was clean and organized. Cons-While the store does have bins, there are a ton of exceptions. I came on $1 day and saw items priced up to $180. I'd estimate 30% of the items were actually $1. The rest were more. The flyer says bin store and more, so it is accurate. I would say still give the store a try. Although the bins stores that I frequent have one price for everything, depending on the day, you may find a good price.

Finally decided on the furniture and had it delivered a couple days later. They charge an $85 delivery fee that has to be paid to the driver in cash. They don't set it up for you. They take it to the room and that's it. I wasn't upset about that since it's clearly on the receipt as well as the delivery fee. Everything is spelled out on the receipt and the sales guy explained it in detail. One thing I will say is if you have a truck you can do it yourself and save the $85. I will be back to see them in a couple of months when I need more bedroom furniture.

They still offer 50% discounts depending on tag color. Their carts are the one's with poles to prevent them from being removed from the premises. This is how it is done in my home town. City Thrift is a decent sized store with a pretty large selection, but it didn't take long to…read morerealize they seem to be following the same trend as a lot of the bigger thrift chains. Anything decent, name brand, or in particularly good condition appears to get picked out and priced closer to retail than thrift-store prices. Some of the prices were honestly surprising; I saw items priced at or above what you could buy them for brand new. For a store selling donated, secondhand merchandise, I expected there to be more opportunity to actually find a deal. There's plenty to look through, but the pricing really takes away from the whole point of thrifting. The staff were pleasant to deal with so that was nice.

We like to wander around consignment shops and this area of Chamblee Dunwoody, they are plentiful. So, when we make our trip over this way Simple Finds is always on the list to swing by. Service is hit and miss here, never terrible, but also not what I would describe as "friendly" either. Additionally, pricing here is a bit inflated. I will say that visiting here is like visiting a massive neighborhood yard sale, so you get lucky from time to time, but for the most part...it is just a place to browse for us.
