The interior is filled with traditional charm with enough modern touches so you don't feel that you've completely walked back in time. Walking through the entrance to the Gallery at the back (yes as in an art gallery) you truly feel like you're in a fishing village, little details just add the ambience of your visit in the evening they open up the entrances to and light the passage ways with a random layout of candles to guide you. The cottage rooms except for the main bedroom are small, though with where you are you're unlikely to spend much time in them anyways, the only down side I found in the cottage was that the shared bathroom was only accessible through the main bedroom or one of the smaller rooms meaning the people in the third bedroom had to trapes through one or the other each time (luckily someone else called shotgun on this room before realising the location of the bathroom HA!) Breakfast can be provided, with options to suit various needs and on this note the bacon (which is locally sourced) is amazing (for me and my likes in the world, Bacon is as important as Ale) One of the big benefits of breakfast here is that they are quite accomadating as to what time you want breakfast too which is a pleasant surprise. What is nice about the cottage as well is that because it is self contained and right next to the side entrance you can come and go without a care of the time if needs be while at the same time you're literally feet away from Sarah and Dylan should you need anything, though do bare in mind that the Cottage is intended as Self Catering opposed to the rooms in the Guesthouse. Having also had a gander round the Guesthouse (the time of year meant they were quiet so we Dylan took us round to have a quick nosey at what else was on offer, only of the empty rooms of obviously there were other people staying) these bedrooms are more spacious than the cottage, the cottage gets the benefit of its own Kitchen, as all throughout the guesthouse are additional Lounges and Bathrooms finished with a large communal Breakfast room dominated by a truly awesome round breakfast table ready for feasting. The Guesthouse is based virtually in the centre of the village making it an ideal starting point for whatever you fancy whether its being staggering distance to the pubs, to going for long walks along the beach or in the hills. If you do go by car then the carpark is barely 2 minutes walk from the Guesthouse, the carparks also really reasonable if you're visiting the place during the day its £1 (yes ONE pound, two fingers up at City Car Parks methinks) or if you need a space for the weekend its £10 (so about the same price as being allowed through the gate of a city car park :OP ) IF the car park is full, there is a second one on the other side of the village, but with how big the village is this isn't really disasorous, instead of a 2 minute walk its maybe as much as a whole 8 minutes at a slow pace. While maybe needing a seperate review in itself (I'll have a think on this) the Gallery at the back of the Guesthouse is Sarah and Dylans Side Hobby and Passion. They really look to support local artists providing a venue for people to come and view (and purchase) the work, they even have an Artists flat above the gallery for people to stay so they can have space to produce as well as showcase their works. what did surprise me was how busy the Gallery gets, lots of people wandering through the village for the day, come in and have a mosey on through. Cost wise, I'm happy with what I paid, I think it worked out about £50 per night with breakfast, I know the rates vary between rooms etc but with the warm and friendly service you recieve you just feel welcome combined with your room I doubt you'd be dissapointed at the price.

I was with my 2 daughters 4 days in Plymouth for searching student acommodation and we had a single…read moreen-suite and a twin en-suite room in this excellent B&B with the wonderfull hosts Karen and Chris. There was a very warm welcome after a long and exhausting trip from Switzerland, which we enjoied a lot. The imaginative variety of different breakfasts is nearly too much, but also special wishes were no problem. We had a good start every day. :) The single room is in front of the road and with open window (summer) there is also during the nigth some traffic noise, which i had no problems with. The twin room looks to the back side of the house and is very quiet. Karen and Chris were very helpfull to us and gave us a lot of useful hints and tipps for our stay in Plymouth. Plymouth is a nice city and the Gallery Guesthouse a very good place to stay there.

Tea and coffee service in each room, nice comfortable beds, lovely bathrooms and the most friendly atmosphere. I would go back here again and again.
