I was shocked (in a good way!) that the consultation before the massage was quite thorough and did not cut into our hour of massage time. I hadn't experienced this anywhere else; the amount of time you pay for at Tranquil Touch is the amount of time that you are actually on the table being massaged. Exie was very receptive to what type of massage I wanted, any injuries I had, and what areas were causing problems, and tailored the session to meet those needs. She has a prenatal table with a cutout/basket to support the belly, so I was able to lay on my stomach for the first portion (at 38 weeks pregnant this is the best thing ever!) I went in with a lot of tension, soreness, and stiffness in my hips and low back (pretty typical pregnancy aches and pains) and left feeling very close to normal and tension-free. I've also had more energy all day since receiving the massage. The office is decorated really nicely - clean, modern, and calming. She played relaxing music during the massage and the temperature was very comfortable in the room. Her location is easy-to-find and there was a reserved parking space for massage clients just outside the door. I plan to return for a post-natal massage and highly recommend Exie's massage services to all pregnant women looking for some relief and relaxation. I'm already working with another birth doula, but if I were still looking, I would certainly consider hiring Exie as my doula.

They have breast pumps and comfortable breastfeeding bras, holistic supplies, and books. They also offer classes such as Vegetarian and Pregnant, Baby Sign Language, Infant Massage, Vaginal Birth After Cesaerian, and many more. They are very supportive of mothers who will homebirth or who have homebirthed babies. I feel it is important to say this because I think sometimes there is a stigma attached to women who choose natural childbirth at home. I especially love their breastfeeding room where they have a breastfeeding group that meets regularly. Everyone who works there is incredibly helpful, especially Beth. I was concerned about post partum depression, and she took me aside and helped me with finding resources. She spent a lot of time one on one with me so I could talk about my concerns. One cool thing is that Beth helped formulate a holistic remedy just for me. It helps calm me if I am feeling panicky. Whether it is a placebo or not, all I know is that it works!

They have weekly classes and get-togethers, as well as pop-up events, all the with aim of providing space and connection for parents. During my little's first three months, I attended their Mama Circles and their breastfeeding support group. Both of these groups were super supportive and non-judgmental, and allowed me, a first-time parent, to ask all the little questions that I had about raising a human. Plus, they usually had great snacks at these groups. Now, as my little is over a year old (cue sobs), I get to utilize their new space in a different way: fun classes! We've checked out their Bilingual Storytime and Rhythm/Motion classes; both classes were thoughtfully executed and engaging. Parenting is hard, and googling stuff on the interwebs just isn't the same as having a good conversation with a fellow parent who is going through the same ish that you are.
