It was end of July/August and I was planning on running the NYC marathon in November and wasn't sure I would be able to make it. Dr. Shier is a runner himself so, unlike other doctors, he didn't say I should just STOP running because we all know that's not possible. Apparently I had injured my Achilles heel which is very hard to treat. Anyway, he measured my foot for orthodics, gave me some exercises to do and suggested neutral sneakers. A few weeks later I was back running and even ran the NYC in his orthodics. I definitely recommend Dr. Shier !!!

I was prescribed an antibiotic to take prior to the surgery as well as valium. The procedure took a little over an hour & you are awake the whole time but cannot see what is going on as they put up a curtain although I will admit my foot felt real weird during it but I was not in pain. Was sent home with pain meds & the doctor was wonderful. She checked in with me over the weekend and has a wonderful bedside manner as well as her husband who assisted during the surgery. He advised every step of the way so that I knew what was going on. This place is extremely clean & the staff is very organized. Definitely recommend for all your foot needs! Will update with pics once my foot has finally healed.

They also could not even give me the courtesy to call me ahead of time for this? Totally irresponsible clinic, they told me then that the out of pocket cost for the consult is $600. How does that sound to me? BAIT and SWITCH.

When I started my search for doctor options again this year, I found out about Dr. Joshi via Lapiplasty.com. After some clicking around on his office's page, I found out he took my insurance. I had known about the procedure for a long time and thought he would be a great option for my care. I was proven right. His office staff was great, very polite and professional. While the office does sell orthotics, no one even tried to push them as an option. Their goal really is to help fix the root problem, not put a "bandaid" on it so a patient has to keep coming back. When we sat down, he realized I had existing knowledge of the procedure, aftercare, etc., and agreed it was the best option for me. He ultimate goal when it comes to patients is to fix the problem, not use temporary "fixes." He was great; answered my questions (even the silly ones), he didn't rush the appointment in any way, refused to brush off any topic, and explained every step of the process before surgery. He really is a high-quality doctor, and makes it clear his goal is to help and work as a team with his patients. I am so excited to move forward in the process of fixing my foot with him. My only issue was getting to the office. The GPS kept saying "Take the next right." Normally this is onto a street. However, this time it meant into the office parking lot. Keep this in mind when you visit and leave your starting point a few minutes early.

I went with her to one of her appointments to understand why she didn't like him. I saw firsthand his complete lack of bedside manner. He was unprofessional, talked over her, didn't listen to her complaints about ongoing pain and discomfort, and dismissed her concerns altogether. My mom had her last appointment with him today, and she found it completely HORRIBLE. She is still experiencing pain in her entire arm from a fall that occurred at the end of January while at work. All this doctor did was prescribe physical therapy and provide a subpar letter stating "light duty," even though there isn't such work available at her job. Dr. Shamash refused to conduct any follow-up X-rays or MRIs to investigate potential injuries to her shoulder beyond the fracture in her elbow. My mom is in her 60s; she is not in her 20s or 40s, where healing might occur within a few weeks. Something is wrong if her hand continues to swell, and her arm remains painful even after three months! She described him as rude, stating that he told her there was nothing more he could do for her and suggested she find another job. IS HE SERIOUS?
