When I started my search for doctor options again this year, I found out about Dr. Joshi via Lapiplasty.com. After some clicking around on his office's page, I found out he took my insurance. I had known about the procedure for a long time and thought he would be a great option for my care. I was proven right. His office staff was great, very polite and professional. While the office does sell orthotics, no one even tried to push them as an option. Their goal really is to help fix the root problem, not put a "bandaid" on it so a patient has to keep coming back. When we sat down, he realized I had existing knowledge of the procedure, aftercare, etc., and agreed it was the best option for me. He ultimate goal when it comes to patients is to fix the problem, not use temporary "fixes." He was great; answered my questions (even the silly ones), he didn't rush the appointment in any way, refused to brush off any topic, and explained every step of the process before surgery. He really is a high-quality doctor, and makes it clear his goal is to help and work as a team with his patients. I am so excited to move forward in the process of fixing my foot with him. My only issue was getting to the office. The GPS kept saying "Take the next right." Normally this is onto a street. However, this time it meant into the office parking lot. I called this clinic today and gave my insurance including the insurance ID # so they can check. They said they could "fit me in" today. Five hours later, I arrive at the clinic and they said they do not take my insurance. So that's wasted babysitter, time and resources when they had the time to check my insurance. They also could not even give me the courtesy to call me ahead of time for this? Totally irresponsible clinic, they told me then that the out of pocket cost for the consult is $600. This practice said yes, gave me a brochure that explained  the 3D and led me to believe  that's what I will be getting.  Weeks later after the bandages came out I questioned  and asked why the bunion still looks large, my toe is numb and  the bottom of my feet feels so tight. I guess due to unfamiliarity with new 3D correction surgery they performed the old traditional two scrow surery without consulting with me. They should have been honest. Today almost seven month later the bunion is still there and getting larger. The toe is larger, still numb can't band my toe,  the bottom of my feet feels tight like leather. If I wanted to be corrected I will need another surgery. Based on my own personal experience no bunion surgery of any kind.

She is also the owner. She books 7 people at a time. You are there for two hours, waiting for your turn to receive therapy. When it's finally your turn, she spends 10 minutes with you. Those 10 minutes were the most painful of my life. She twisted my arm so much I almost passed out from the pain. With tears in my eyes, I asked her to stop. She explained to me that the pain is necessary for healing. After two weeks of this, I told her she was hurting me and I was not getting any better. I guess she was insulted because after that my insurance company informed me that they would not pay for any more visits because the therapist called and told them I was fine and didn't need physical therepy. She lied to the insurance company so i could not go anywhere else to get the help I needed. She's very unprofessional. Do not go here.

That, to me, means that they were never reattached. My knee makes a lot noise when I walk, and it hurts. Went back a few times, and the "doctor" said, he'd give me a new knee, but I'd have to pay for it. Is that some kind of a joke???? I do not know that the other reviews are on the same "Hartzband", but they can NOT be speaking of the one that I went to in Paramus NJ. He has NO personality, and worse yet, doesn't look at you when he speaks. He looks over you, around you, but not at you.

Dr. Hartzband is unbelievable!…read more Due to severe arthritis, my girlfriend needed a complete hip replacement. Dr. Hartzband was confident and reassuring. We arrived at the outpatient surgical facility at 6AM, the surgery started at 8 and we were home at 6PM the SAME DAY! The PT folks even had her practice going up and down stairs before we left. The incision was small and pain was minimal for that type of procedure. Recovery time is significant of course, but she is progressing nicely, thanks to Dr. Hartzband and his excellent staff. I am convinced that they are the best in their field.
