Dr. Bottorff is technically excellent in both chiropractic adjustments and manual therapy (AKA deep-tissue massage - whether just for your back or a targeted area, or full-body if needed for your specific condition), and he is extremely thoughtful and kind. He is a healer, not a salesperson, so he will never recommend more than what you need. Several of my relatives and I have been getting his help for 25 years. He is the best massage therapist of the many I've tried, most of whom were purely massage therapists, not chiropractors, and the best chiropractor of the large variety I've tried through those years.
He takes the time to listen carefully, he can feel each problem or trouble-spot in your spine and in your muscles throughout your body, and truly wants to help heal each of his patients - or at least help keep them moving as much as is possible. He is not one of the many chiropractors who is trying to get rich off selling you supplements or a "comprehensive" 3- or 6-month program, nor does he use equipment to replace hands-on massages (which is never as helpful).
He's great for any type of problem - including car wreck, chronic conditions, pregnancy-related back pain, injury; and is great for patients of all ages (adults, children, and elderly) except babies.
He will evaluate your current and chronic problems and suggest appropriate treatments for you, but if you have an ongoing or recurring condition and already know what treatment you want/need (e.g., a 60-minute massage plus an adjustment to address chronic issues throughout several body parts, or just an adjustment to fix a little crick in your neck or back), he will be happy to honor your requests.
His current location is easy to reach from most parts of town.
He will provide receipts upon request, e.g., if you need them to submit for reimbursement from an HSA or FSA health account. He's filed insurance claims for me upon request for years even though he's been out-of-network on my plans - but verify if he's still doing that and then remind him to do so when you see him. I think he was considering getting set up to accept cards for payment, but ask him about that, because you might need to bring a checkbook, cash, or a money order. read more
