full size bed with only 1 night stand and 1 reading lamp - The image shows a hotel room with a full-size bed covered in white bedding, positioned against a wall with a padded headboard. To the left of the bed is a nightstand holding a lamp, a telephone, and some papers. A large window with curtains is on the right side, allowing natural light into the room. The room has neutral-colored walls and a patterned carpet floor.

Got a bargain rate during the Balloon Fiesta, if you and the wife can fit into a single room with a full size bed. 15 story high rise hotel located in downtown Albuquerque amid government buildings and law firms. Area busy during weekdays with workers, but very quiet in the evenings and weekends. Sketchy areas around nearby Central Ave, but no homeless people to be seen -may have been cleared out for the 9 day Albuquerque Balloon Festival We made reservations 4 months in advance and stayed here 4 nights during the last 4 days of the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta/Solar Eclipse, and didn't get taken to the cleaners on the hotel rates. Hotel was charging $400+ a night (normally $133) for rooms with one king or two queens. Used 118,625 Hilton Honor Points, the equivalent of $593, for Thursday-Sunday, or $148 a night, all taxes included. Found out later that Hilton was offering a 4 nights stay with 5th night free, too late for us. Parking an additional $17 a night, automatically billed on your room when you check in. 103 parking spaces for 295 rooms. Never had to use the overflow parking at the Albuquerque Civic Plaza underground parking garage 2 blocks away, as large blocks of rooms reserved for bus touring groups. Stayed in room 1015 a connected unit adjacent a corner unit. Consequently the configuration was smaller than rooms with one king size bed, let alone rooms with two queens. Approximately 11' x 11' plus 4' x 6' hallway and 11' x5' bathroom or 200 square feet, with a full size bed, flat screen TV with HBO, ESPN and other premium cable channels. Full size bed, instead of Queen bed, meant for single traveler, as only one night stand and one reading light next to the full size bed, which wife grabbed. Cozy fit for wife and I in the bed, but two overly obese folks would find it cramped. The single night light mean fewer electrical outlets for recharging cell phone, tablets, laptops. Unit came with lounge chair, wheeled desk chair, narrow work desk, and 39" flat screen TV. 10' wide Window spanned the length of the room, with excellent view of the block long empty Wells Fargo Bank parking lot, with mountains in the background, and a view of the nightly Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta fireworks 8 miles away. Mini refrigerator, coffee maker, electronic safe, shower but no tub and no microwave oven. If you can afford this place you don't need to reheat restaurant leftovers. Theft proof closet clothes hangers shows what kind of guests frequent this hotel. Popcorn ceilings popular in the 1950s and 1960s but out of style by the 1980s. Bottom floor has AYCE breakfast buffet at $17 for the hot breakfast, and $10 for the continental breakfast. They opened at 4am during the Balloon Fiesta, and the hotel guests with the bus tours didn't have to pay. Fantastic residency and service from a great product by the Hilton Group. This location is seated at the center of town. It's right next to the ABQ convention center. I was greeted by the folks at the registration desk and given my room and offered warm cookies. My room overlooked the Plaza and convention center. It was clean and had plenty of rooms. The bathrooms are small, but clean and well stocked. If you need additional towels , soap, or toiletries. The folks downstairs would get your needed items to you immediately. The hotel provides free Internet and coffee $5 coupons to Hilton Honors members. It has an in-house restaurant that does breakfast and dinner at an additional cost called the Iconic. And there is a Cafe 505 that serves coffee and breakfast items until 1100 am. The gym and pool are well maintained. There are two treadmills, two ellipticals, two seated bikes, a set of barbells, and a cable machine. I'd certainly stay here again the next time I stay in ABQ.

    The dirty corners

I have not been disappointed in a Hilton in years, but when I say the first room wasn't cleaned at all and the second room they sent me said it was cleaned. This is the craziest thing ever. These people are disgusting. I'm only a Hilton Goldmember but damn

View from 14th floor - The image captures a city view from a high vantage point, featuring a large beige office building with a clock on its facade. Surrounding the building are parking lots with several parked cars, trees lining the streets, and a network of roads. In the background, a mountain range is visible under a cloudy sky, indicating an urban area near natural landscape.

Stayed at this hotel as we were passing through Albuquerque on the way to Colorado. The staff at the desk was kind and helpful. Being right next to the convention center I didn't think anything of the location being packed, especially on a Wednesday but apparently there was only 1 king size room available "due to events going on in the area". Looking afterwards at priceline, hotels.com and a few others there were clearly rooms available there. The room was nice but the bathroom was small. It was hard to move around in the bathroom to dry off or even use the restroom. The shower was horrible. Only in the way of water pressure. It almost seemed as though there was a pressure plate in the shower that if you weren't standing in the right spot the water pressure was barely existent. Great views from the room but not to justify a $300 a night stay. Next time I'll look into other hotels. The bar in the hotel was mediocre. The bar staff was hardly at the bar (it took us a half hour sitting there with no drinks just to ask for the check) and the drinks were amateur at best

The image depicts a hotel room with a bed covered in white linens and a pillow. Next to the bed is a wooden nightstand with a tissue box, a decorative container, and a white towel or cloth placed on top. The room has tiled flooring and a white curtain partially visible on the right side. The overall setting suggests a standard hotel room environment.

This hotel is not up to the standard of other Hiltons that I have stayed at. Parking is $17 for an open lot that does not have any security or preventative measures. The front desk gave me the okay for a 2pm check out when I first arrived, the next morning before we left for our activities I went to confirm our check out time and it was never annotated. Bed in the room was a full size bed when I selected a queen bed on the Hilton app. Bunch of sketchy people at the property. I was having a drink in the lobby at 8pm and two individuals kept circling the inside of the property and one guy stole the bartenders food. Cookie was hard as a rock and the front desk was cold and not welcoming. Ready for the best part............went to grab a hand towel and A METH PIPE COMES OUT OF THE TOWEL THAT I GRABBED. do not come here.

    love their cookies

Affordable and Comfortable Stay Near Old Town Albuquerque - With a Few Caveats…read more We stayed at Sandia Peak Inn - Old Town ABQ (a Howard Johnson by Wyndham), and I'll start by saying this: the price was definitely right. While it's not a luxury hotel, we more than got our money's worth, and I'll give an honest, balanced review. One of the main reasons we chose this property was the availability of EV charging. They offer both a J1772 and a Tesla destination charger, with a $10 nightly fee to use them. That was a great convenience and worked without issue. We booked the accessible oversized king room, which was very spacious, nicely decorated, and included a comfortable bed. We thought it had a sofa but found a day bed instead. The room also featured a small work table and a nice easy chair--well equipped for a short stay. The parking lot is tight, with narrow spaces and limited room, but our reserved EV charging spot helped avoid problems. Breakfast was modest but acceptable. There was a waffle maker, juice machine, coffee, peanut butter (the only visible protein), various breads, jams, and some overripe bananas. Vegetarian-friendly, but not very filling. One downside we experienced was related to smoking. Although our room was non-smoking, the moment I stepped outside in the morning, someone was smoking nearby. While I don't know how frequent this is, it would be preferable if the property were entirely smoke-free, especially near room entrances. The neighborhood felt like classic Old Town Albuquerque. I didn't feel unsafe, but I wouldn't recommend walking the area late at night. The exterior of the property has been nicely styled with Southwestern décor, which adds charm despite the budget-conscious operations. In short: everything wasn't perfect, but it all worked--and for the price, we walked away satisfied.

The front desk attendant was very nice and offered me some Halloween candy after I got my room key. As I walked to my room I noticed that the room doors were painted white and the scuff marks from luggage hitting the doors were noticeable. The room was nice and had a separate living room, small kitchen, and decent sized couch. The bed was king sized, comfy, and plenty of pillows. My pups likes his pillows. This is a nice hotel, but you can tell it's tailored towards the blue collar individuals who work hard and has long stays. I didn't try the complimentary breakfast served at 6 am to 9 am even though I was up and walking the dog but I did get a coffee and it was good. I did utilize the gym and it was really nice! It had plenty of weights and several new treadmills with TV's attached, and cycle machines. They also had a full sized pool if you wanted to do swimming laps. I'm giving this a 4 star based off the gym, front desk attendant kindness, and room cleanliness. If they repainted the scuffed doors the score could go higher. This was a good stop and if you need a rest stay here.

The property itself is beautiful and expansive, sits on Tamayame land, and at the outset of the conference a member of the Native American tribe welcomed us and shared about the land and setting. The property has with multiple event spaces, an on-site trail, a large gym, and several pools. It is a fairly large resort (our room was at one end, so it was about a 7-10 minute walk to the main lobby area). Each day began with a large breakfast buffet, and lunch was similarly well done. One of the highlights was being able to sit outside during meals at large tables overlooking the grounds, mountains, trees, and fresh air made for a really peaceful setting. For breakfast, I enjoyed the red/green chilies chilaquiles (New Mexican style breakfast), it was very flavorful and I enjoyed trying but was very spicy/heavy. From a conference and events perspective, the resort is very impressive. There is a large main conference room with a stage, and the room can accommodate over 100 people (at round tables), along with many smaller breakout rooms. Over two evenings, we attended events at different venues on the property, one about a 10-minute walk away (with hotel mini-bus transportation available), and another closer to the main area under a tent. The more distant venue was quite large and set apart, likely used for weddings and larger celebrations. That evening included a buffet dinner, DJ, dancing, and multiple bar setups. The second evening closer to the main hotel was a seated dinner under a tent, with music and performances in a more contained setting. There is also a nice bar and restaurant in the lobby, as well as another more casual restaurant by the pool. Given time constraints, I was not able to fully take advantage of all the amenities (including the spa, horseback riding, and longer trail walks), but I would absolutely recommend this property. It is incredibly scenic, serene, and feels immersed in nature, and I would gladly return.

Beautiful, classic New Mexican architecture surrounded by desert and mountain views. The grounds are beautiful with options for biking (included), tennis/pickleball, walks, horseback riding, and golf. Located about 30 minutes north of Albuquerque and 45 minutes south of Santa Fe, made it easy to spend time in either. We were able to check in early, which was so nice after an early travel morning. Our room was large and included the classic hotel amenities, including waters. We were staying slightly during the off season, so two pools were open, which was fine as it wasn't that busy and it didn't get hot until about noon. Due to the location of the resort, it is easiest to eat at the property and there are a couple of options available: The Corn Maiden - nicer dining experience, Santa Ana Cafe - casual sit-down, Rio Grande Lounge - bar and bites, and Plaza - pool cafe. During our visit the Plaza pool restaurant was only open on Saturday. We tried in-room dining for breakfast one morning, as we were up early, the eggs had little to no flavor, and a couple of our items were forgotten/late. Not a huge deal as we understood they were training a lot of staff during the time of our stay. Overall, the food throughout all the dining options was just okay, and if there were more dining options close by, I would probably go there. The restaurants all tasted the same and there didn't seem to be much variety. It would be nice if at least one of the dining options was a different kind of cuisine to bring some variety. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, the staff was so friendly and helpful. There are plenty of activities to do at the resort and we loved that they had nightly s'mores. The room was great, but food could be better.

On a busy convention night, the dining room was packed, yet the energy felt festive rather than frantic. Thanks to a well-timed reservation, my party settled in comfortably despite the initial blast of aggressive air-conditioning--a smart move after last week's heat, though the growing crowd of happy diners soon brought the room to a more pleasant temperature. Service was excellent from the start. We were warmly greeted by the hostess, a supervisor, and our server, setting a tone of genuine care that never wavered. The pacing was near-perfect: attentive without hovering, with drinks refreshed proactively and plates cleared at just the right moments. To begin, I ordered the green chile beef stew. It arrived promptly, hot and deeply flavorful, with tender beef and that signature New Mexican green chile heat that lingers just enough to wake up the palate. For my birthday libation, the S'mores Old Fashioned was a delightful twist--smoky, sweet, and dangerously smooth. The entrées showed Char's Southwestern strengths. The enchiladas were deeply comforting, while the carne asada arrived perfectly grilled with robust flavor. Both were elevated by the bright, creamy Mexican Street Corn on the side--charred kernels, cotija, and a hint of lime that cut through the richness beautifully. We closed the evening with the new arroz con leche from the updated dessert menu. Warm, cinnamon-kissed rice pudding topped with a generous scoop of cinnamon ice cream proved to be the ideal sweet finale--comforting yet refined, with contrasting temperatures that made every bite exciting. From the thoughtful service to the consistent execution of both classics and new offerings, Char once again proved why it's a go-to spot for special occasions. If you're in Albuquerque and want elevated NM dining, Char meets the need.

We pulled up to the front entrance where a sign clearly said Check-In Parking, yet were told we could not leave the car and had to valet or park in the garage. We weren't even allowed to step inside to check in, which made things unnecessarily awkward. As we just wanted to check in run a grab a bite to eat down the street as we just drove 7 hours. The hotel itself is very nice and interesting -- it's one of the first Hilton hotels built from the ground up, which is pretty cool. The room was a highlight. Spacious, clean, and well designed with a beautiful large soaking tub, separate shower, and a great layout overall. Morning coffee service was disappointing 2 of they days we stayed -- coffee was out then tea was missing the next, and no water bottles were replaced in our room after housekeeping, so we couldn't make our own in theroom. Dinner at Char did not meet expectations, especially for the price. Our medium-rare steaks came out well done, and although we mentioned it, nothing was done to fix it. We had a party there a couple nights later and it was buffet style. Our steak was way better in that and I hate buffets. That said, Jarod at the bar was great we had a few drinks with him through the nights we stayed and he was out bartender at the party we hosted he was one of the highlights of the staff that we came across. Lastly, the surrounding area felt pretty sketchy at night. Some positives, but enough frustrations that it impacted our stay.

They didn't have any non dairy milk but they did have vanilla non dairy creamer packets. It is also well located next to Green Jeans, an indoor/outdoor food court, so we walked over there to meet a local friend for lunch one of the days we were there. The mountain views were lovely from outside of the hotel. Their big sign was broken/torn and their gym equipment needed to be updated or fixed. I think one of the treadmills was broken but luckily no one else was there so I was able to use the one working one. I really like that parking is included and not an extra charge like some hotels. We were located near a Target and lots of restaurants as well. Our room was located on the 12th floor and it was busy as the last ever Gathering of Nations was taking place at the fairgrounds. The employees whom helped us were very nice and efficient and checked up on us with a phone call once we got settled in our room. As for the room itself, it was perfect for what we needed. We had a great view of the city. The only cons we had was the HVAC system was not working properly. The room was very stuffy and no matter what temp we lowered it to (went all the way down to 60) the A/C did not kick in). The fan was working but not blowing any cold air (the hallway's A/C was working). I reported it to the front desk upon check out. The other item was the shower's knobs were located on the opposite side of the shower head and I had never seen that before. It was very awkward as the glass sliding door does not open on the side with the shower head. I felt that it was unsafe as you turn on the water but cannot feel the temp of the water cause it is on the other side. Overall, stay was good and it was pretty quiet other than hearing a couple of guests out in the hallway. I would stay here again if in the area.

Takes a lot for me to write a bad review. But I paid extra for 2 double beds during the Balloon…read moreFiesta week ($615 for TWO nights!!). Only to check in to my room to find one bed and a couch. Talk to the front desk who claim they had a request for a single bed on my reservation. Why would I pay extra for 2 beds to end up asking for 1? Then they say it's because I chose "first come first serve" at check in. What does that even mean? Why wouldn't I get the room I RESERVED? Then they offer a rollaway bed. No apology, acknowledgement of the mess up, or offer for reimbursement of the difference in price. I said I'd prefer a room with the 2 beds I paid for as I had my 4 month old son and my 63 year old mother. They said they were sold out, which means they sold my 2 bed room to someone else. Then they say they can't refund me because I booked through a 3rd party and would have to go through them. So I did. They had to contact the hotel on my behalf and the supervisor offered restaurant vouchers... Which I didn't take. Still no apology or acknowledgement of the mess up and no real solution. I won't name his name, but the guy that checked me in and that I talked to about the issue was completely unhelpful, unfriendly, and could not have cared less at what was going on. Not to mention 3 of the 4 elevators were malfunctioning/not operating at check in during an extremely busy weekend, and our AC unit barely kept the room cool enough to not sweat when turned all the way on high at the lowest temperature. Definitely will never stay here again when there is a Hilton and Sheraton right up the street. I do not recommend, at all. Also adding to this that I discovered I have a $32 charge on my card from them when I purchased nothing there and only gave my card for the deposit. Just an awful ran hotel.
