Best View of Santa Barbara, Impeccable Service, Perfect Length of Trip My vibrant and downright fun experience on the Double Dolphin will be fresh in my memories forever. Spencer and Brandon were our crew members who delivered impeccable service, attentive care, and made our experience wildly enjoyable for just their conversations alone! Mix their great energy and presence with pristine views of the Santa Barbara Harbor and Channel Islands ...and you'll surely start to understand my enthusiasm for the Double Dolphin sailing cruise! I would recommend purchasing their beverages ( they sell beer and wine! ) as they offer these and wonderful snacks as well that you can buy on board. Also, sailing by the sea lions on the buoy is always fun to watch ( for any age!). My only suggestion is that you try and get to know the Double Dolphin fellas that are sailing your boat and helping you have an enjoyable experience; they have astounding knowledge in marine type fields and truly love what they do! Get to know their story and make plenty of new friends on the boat as well-- it's one hell of an experience to take for such a reasonable price overall. Cheers and enjoy your time there!

We had a great trip and would do it again. We were in Santa Barbara for our anniversary and decided to take a cruise. We went online on Sunday night and booked for the coastal cruise on Monday. When we got there, we discovered that we were the only ones on the cruise and thought for sure they'd cancel with just two passengers, but they didn't. As soon as we got out of the harbor, they spotted a juvenile gray whale, and we followed it up the coast for well over an hour. Daniel and Spencer were great. They really enjoyed being out on the ocean and following the whale, and were clearly knowledgeable.

Thank you so much for making my 30th birthday cruise an absolute success! The boat was amazing, the perfect size for our group of 21 people. Plenty of room to spread out and blankets on board for when we got chilly. We loved being able to play our own music onboard and they had a nice selection of wine. Best of all, the boat lived up to its name when we saw a whole pod of dolphins swimming right in front of the boat for sunset! Thanks again to the amazing crew for an absolutely perfect sunset cruise!

Sunset. Live jazz. Wine and beer. Santa Barbara. All on-board a 50 foot catamaran known as the Double Dolphin. If you think nothing could possibly be better than that, I would concur completely. I had a great experience on board the ship. The jazz band was amazing, the wine classy, and the ambiance very relaxed and refined. There is simply no better way of experiencing the Santa Barbara coastline than from the deck of an amazing boast such as this. The 360 panoramic views were breathtaking and the sights magnificent. Also, everyone on the boat was somehow very friendly (Not just because of the wine), and I ended up chatting with a few people that had similarly great raves about the experience. As a tip, I would definitely dress warmly as it does get cold quickly. My only complaint was that I wish we could have gone out to open water, and for longer!

Amazing time on Monday doing the "Double Dolphin" with Jonathan. Super attentive and caring, took very good care of us even though we can get a bit obnoxious as a group. This was my first but definitely not my last experience here! Can't wait to go back with a bigger group.

For the past two years I have rented out the double dolphin for my birthday! It has been so much fun! It's hard to get enough people to rent out the entire boat but if you can do it- it is totally worth the work! you can also buy public tickets for a day or evening cruise (you will just be with people you don't know). They sell beer and wine separately on board. The captain/crew have been awesome to our group both years. Highly recommend going on the double dolphin!

Best $27 and evening one can spend in SB. Worth the drive in from Montecito.

He called me the day before and first asked if we expected to get married (a fair question considering a surprise out at sea might be dangerous, lol). He asked if there was any music to put on for our ride - classic rock was a great choice. We arranged to meet at 6 PM and play off the sunset cruise as a birthday surprise as opposed to a proposal - she bought it completely. We got lucky and were able to see a mother whale and calf traveling north for the first 30 minutes of the trip. It was fun hearing Spencer communicate with the other vessels on the radio to let them know there was a whale nearby. Spencer coordinated to where about 45 minutes in as we headed back south to the harbor (and away from other boats) to go up to the front of the boat for the big moment. He used his own phone to take photos and video of the moment I proposed (afterwards airdropping them to my phone which was very considerate). The timing was great, but even afterwards Spencer was hanging off the sail and getting the wildest angles of us as a newly engaged couple - a true testament of how considerate and beyond words he was to make this moment special. He kindly opened champagne and poured us a couple glasses to celebrate as we nestled in near the harbor and enjoyed the moment - accompanied by dolphins and a beautiful sunset. I am without words for how perfect this day was. Spencer was the best captain and truly a gem of a human for making this proposal special. He truly made everything work perfectly. I guarantee we will be back for another boat ride with him. Thanks a million, Spencer!

As it turns out, all of the harbor seals, and sealions have names. We befriended one named Steve, he is much better at swimming than I am. He also taught me secret techniques to paddling. We had a fun ferry ride to the islands and even got to slow down to watch a large Sunfish (Mola Mola) snacking on some jellies. I recommend getting in line early to secure the best view seating on the ferry. Our kayak guides, Chuck and Adam, were exceptional--knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about what they do. They made the entire trip both fun and informative, while ensuring we always felt safe and well cared for. We were fortunate to have perfect weather and warm water, which allowed us to explore all seven sea caves--many of which are inaccessible during high tide or rougher conditions. It made the experience even more special. Having lived in Santa Barbara for 22 years, this was my first time visiting the islands, and it was truly unforgettable. The pristine landscapes, abundant sea life, and even spotting several tiny island foxes while enjoying our picnic lunch, made it an unforgettable adventure. We can't wait to do it again--highly recommend to anyone looking for a unique and exceptional experience!
