On Monday, July 27, 2020, our 2013 Ford Explorer lost power near Clearfield, PA. We had it towed to Dott Motor in Clearfield. BIG MISTKE!!! It was about 4:15 when the car arrived in the service area. No offer to look at the car or to ask if we would pay overtime to have it fixed. Nothing! We kept calling to find out when the car would be repaired. No information at all. Finally, on Wednesday, July 29, we got a call about 3:30 that the car was ready. We got there about 4:10 and started the car. It made a horrible noise. Turns out the new part was defective. The mechanics hadn't even checked the car. It took them about 10 minutes to fix it. We had been stranded for 48 hours for a 10 minute repair.
We are from the Akron, Ohio area. Our service department mechanics here are much more sympathetic to stranded motorists. read more
