She is not very charming at times, as she can come on as distant to her patients. I guess social skills are not part of the med school curriculum. But when it comes to her competency as a doctor, she is as good as they come. My respect for her as a doctor was further cemented and enhanced when I overheard the ER staff and doctors taking among themselves about her great skills diagnosing my life threatening condition. So, if you're looking for a schmoozing staff, upscale office, and charming doctor, look somewhere else, but if all you need is a super competent doctor, then Dr. Volpicella might just be it.

She must be new because the older woman at the front desk was always so lovely! This newer receptionist was complaining that I did not answer my phone, that I needed a refill for a medication from a doctor who no longer works in the office and belittle me over making my yearly appointment. Besides the very unfriendly and miserable new receptionist, I'd recommend Dr. Dicker to anyone!

When I was first deciding who to pick to do the surgery the staff part was an important factor for me.
