This place is not a trendy place, it is an old school turkish restaurant. You should just go there to enjoy the food and chit chat with your friends during lunch or dinner. For the lunch time it is more crowded. it does not just have very tasty old-school manti aka turkish ravioli though has nothing to do with ravioli, it also has great stuffed vine (grape) leaves: sarma, either with meat which is served hot with yogurt or the cold one stuffed with traditional rice stuffing. You should ask for the garlic if you want it with garlic otherwise it is served without garlic as many people avoid it due to its odor through out the day. The only thing I do not like here is the spice selection, they are unlabeled and served in old containers which does not look good and you have to try to find out which one is what.
I am a fan of this place for years now and I can't go anywhere else but here to eat manti and stuffed vine leaves with meat. It is possible to order half manti and half sarma at the same time if you want to taste both at the same time. The tomato paste here is always delicious. those are the outstanding things in their menu but they have other things as well. Honestly, I tried gozleme (filo dough stuffed with a filling and cooked on a convex metal sheet either on top of wood fire or oven top) and dolma (stuffed dried vegetables) once or twice so I don't remember the taste to comment.
a portion of manti is now 12L (in turkey the tax is already included in the final price you see on the menu and the gratuity is usually 10% if you want to you can always give more) read more
