A variety of offerings from various cultures all cooked and presented beautifully. The staff were very friendly, accommodating and cheerful. Their dedication to the cafe was obvious. The coffee was good - they buy from a local roaster. Not as spectacular as some coffee places closer to the city, but still drinkable. The cafe had a good atmosphere with expressive art on the walls and different seating options. The prices were extremely reasonable, especially considering the quality of the food that we received. This is definitely a cafe to visit if you're in the area.

Staff were very friendly and helpful, lovely vibe. There is a choose-your-own-combo fresh pressed juice that I enjoyed. I had the mediterranean breakfast and it was presented very elaborately. Some of the individual elements were very highly seasoned which I enjoyed. The whole thing was made from quality fresh food which I appreciated. However it was missing the hearty big-plate-of-food feeling that is what I was expecting. Less fuss, fewer options, more good quality food in quantity would be preferable. Will be back to sample more of the food, it looked like it will all be excellent quality.

This time was of the latter, I looked at the menu and was for some reason fixed on the usual boring 'breaky roll'. I had made my decision, closed the menu and kept talking to my wifey who had also made her decision. As we were talking, I saw her do her ever sneaky "checking in on Yelp first" move. I pulled out my phone and accepted defeat but started flicking through the reviews of this cool little cafe in Collingwood. The waitress came over and as is custom, the wifey orders first. As she is ordering I have time to skim over Pheobe L's review and drool over the Salmon breakfast option and the picture to accompany it. Yes my coffee may have been a little average but the food came out. Amazingly cooked Salmon, crispy Rosti, perfect poached eggs.... Mmmmm yum. GAME OVER! Can't wait to go back!

Sure there is a method to the rainbow of colors splattered around the cafe, but to me there is just a bit too much. I dropped in here on my lunch break and although not busy, the service was slow. I ordered the Bck-bck-begerk - A French baguette of harissa chicken + roasted sweet-corn relish and I must admit it was super tasty but did they need the olive oil dribbled on the plate in swirls around it?! I think 'The Pour Kids' are trying a little too hard to be 'The Cool Kids' and if they were just to relax with the decor and food then they could be renamed 'The Comeback Kid'.

Also expect a semi self-service - we ordered at the counter and food was then brought over to our table. For my burger, I had "Jack da Rippa"- $16.50- A picture perfect burger consisting of crispy fried chicken, topped with bacon, pickles, aioli on a red brioche bun. Taste-wise, however, was rather disappointing! Dry and bland with pickled overkill. Even with the generous use of bacons, it doesn't elevate my liking to this dish. We also ordered the fries, this took 45 mins to be served, and it looks and taste just like McDonald's -_-. The Vaina Loca freakshakes was fun to look at, but it was straight up horrible! Most of the toppings were too stale and not edible. The shakes was also diabetes sweet! Surely not worth the $22 price tag for this! Dirty cutleries and slow service. Overall, not the best restaurant in the city, and definitely NOT the place I would recommend if you are looking for some serious burger.

Choose from eggs done the way you like it with tasty sides, or from the selection of brekky dishes. The smashed avo is a favourite of mine, but of late the Chilli Eggs have been my go to brekky dish. The house made chili sauce is amazing - great with the fava beans and farro! The sandwiches are pretty tasty options too - the Rueben and the Saiguette are faves of mine. The staff were friendly without being cloying. The place got very full at lunch time, but the staff managed nicely. And the coffee is indeed good (I think they use Merlo). I went for the cafe benchmark - you know what I mean - avocado toast. I was a little bit disappointed that the "cornbread" isn't actual cornbread. Real cornbread is much denser that this fluffy slice of toast that perhaps should be more aptly described as a corn-based bread (likely made from some sort of semolina). It was still delicious, and was topped with plenty of mashed avocado, fetta, mint and chilli, which is a great spicy touch. As far as the benchmark goes, I would rate this as excellent avocado toast. The service was friendly and just the right amount of attentive. While it actually isn't the hugest space, the wide windows give it a open feeling. I was nestled quite happily at my window bench and only vaguely sorry that the cafe's location doesn't lend itself to an enormous amount of people-watching. That is, until the lycra squad arrived. I really do find it amusing the way they tap about in their special bike shoes with bananas sticking out of their back pockets.
