I've been a member for 10+years. Their loan rates are some of the best you can find. Unfortunately I've had serious problems with credit card fraud since becoming a member. I'm lucky if I can use the same card for a year before I have a fraudulent charge and my account is locked down and I'm forced to get a new card. I took all the steps they recommended (RFID protection sleeve on the card, security PIN for debit fraud protection, using secure websites for purchasing) and it still happens. And all I get is "oh well it happens here's your new card." I just got my third card in as many years. If I didn't have a loan through them at the moment I might be looking elsewhere I'm so frustrated. read more

This place has done some amazing things for me. I've been with other CU's but these guys do it right. If you are a member of a bank of any sort, you should immediately switch to a CU instead. We tend to rely on our financial institutions in the times of greatest need. Dort Federal CU can help you. Long time member and I am grateful to be. Helpful, friendly, and efficient staff. They know your time is valuable and it shows. read more

That's my only issue. I could understand if you didn't bank here, and they charged you a fee to transfer money, or cash your check, etc. but when you bank here- you should feel appreciated and feel like there is some type of benefit for your service. It's not the employees fault, they are just following rules but it does get aggravating when I check my account and see fee's left and right.

Not only did they give me the best rate I've had they also had hands down the best customer service I've ever had! They were friendly & helpful but not pushy. They went out of their way to give me options when I couldn't get out of the house because of surgery. These ladies will do anything possible to make your experience easy and pleasant. They keep me updated when there are changes coming up that may save me money even when I'm not up for renewal and when my renewal is coming up they make sure to get in touch with me well ahead of time in case I need to explore options or make changes. I dealt with Kathleen for my first couple years and she is so pleasant and friendly that for the first time I didn't dread dealing with my insurance. She just has such a wonderful manner that puts you at ease. Then for the last year it's been Kristin who has helped me with everything. She is so sweet and bubbly and kind that it's more like talking to a friend than a business associate. You will be smiling without even realizing it! They have been wonderfully accommodating with all the Covid craziness. It's almost easier than the pre-Covid way! With all the changes Covid has forced us to make anything that is easy is very much appreciated! I recently had some personal tragedy that has affected everything in my life and attitude. Kristen didn't know anything about it but she must have had a sense that something was off. She then took extra time to make sure I was ok without prying or being invasive. She is just a very genuine person and that touched my heart. I feel so incredibly blessed to be a patron of a place that truly puts their clients first, that works hard to provide the best rates possible and treats you like a person not just a policy number!! Check out Mark Owen Insurance Agency. You will not be disappointed!!
