Requested them take a look at some recently planted arborvitae that seemed to be struggling a bit. Gave some recommendations for remediation, came out and reworked the planting to help the trees survive through winter and beyond. Very knowledgeable and polite, fair pricing, quick and efficient. Plan is to use them again for additional work to (finally) complete my vision for the rear of the property (long neglected by the prior owner). read more

During a tree service at my home on 3/21/25, Dorshak crew knowingly operated a bucket truck with an active hydraulic fluid leak. This is a dangerous petroleum product that causes immediate permanent asphalt damage, environmental damage, and is extremely dangerous to people and animals. This resulted in a chemical spill up and down my 280'x12' driveway, onto to the road in front of my house, as well as a constant drip from where the truck was housed to my home (statute below). This incident has left deep-set stains (permanent) and potholes that need to be professionally repaired. Initially I had it cleaned enough to keep the oil from tracking into my house and to protect people and animals. This oil will cause immediate burns if touched and can be fatal if ingested. I was on-site and called their office to report the truck was leaking oil onto my driveway. The foreman told me they put cardboard under the truck where parked to "contain the oil". They did not leave my property when reported but continued to work which increased the amount of oil spilled onto my driveway. I took pictures up and down my driveway and asked the foreman to do the same, which he did. Mr. Dorshak called me early the next morning to send a crew to "clean it up" admitting liability but failed to report the spill which by state statute is mandatory. I needed special equipment and handling or the asphalt could be totally destroyed. From the date of the incident to present, the stains and potholes are up the middle of my driveway where they had not been before, and at the time were puddled on the road which my neighbors witnessed. This is negligence/property damage and several code violations by statute. For the permanent stains and potholes to my driveway Dorshak is legally and financially obligated to return my driveway to its original condition including stains and potholes. Mr. Dorshak will admit no liability while admitting his truck was leaking hydraulic fluid on public and private land which puts him at 100% liability. To date he has not paid me for damages. He wants me to pay for the tree service in full so he can dismiss the claim. STATUTE 49CFR - In WI a leaking hydraulic truck on private property and public roads is prohibited under WI HAZARDOUS SPILLS LAW and FEDERAL MOTOR CARRIER LAW which mandates that leaking vehicles cannot be safely operated or transported. As such, I would not recommend using their service. read more

I have hired the Dorshak crew before a few years ago. They did excellent work then and nothing has changed. Most recently I had them take down a very large fir tree, trim three other trees, And remove a small arborvitae before it encroached on others. Their crew was professional, courteous, and fast. They left no trace of having been there except for the stump which they came back and ground down later. They also agreed to leave all the wood chips and grindings for me to spread around the lot. Without reservation I would happily call them again. Thanks guys! read more

Did a great job for a great price! Very professional and cleaned up the mess. Did not have to do any more. read more

Dorshak Tree Service just removed a large, dead ash tree from our front yard in Whitefish Bay. We are very pleased. Great crew of guys who worked hard, finished quickly, and were meticulous about cleanup of the whole yard -- not only branches, but debris on the sidewalk from the wood chipper. Very knowledgeable, pleasant, and went the extra mile when we wanted to save a few logs for the fire pit. They cut up part of the trunk, hauled the logs to the backyard, and even stacked them. Highly recommend. read more

Within an hour they came out. the tree had made its way to the house and was leaning against it. They just took it down with no damage to my roof. Finished the job in an hour. Amazing! read more

Dorshak Tree Specialists - Tree Services Near Me - Butler, Wisconsin

My husband and I were very pleased with the service we received from Dorshak Tree Specialists. They took two of our trees down - one small crabapple and one large brown maple. They came to our house on time the day of removal, and promptly got to work. I was happy the man I spoke with on the phone gave me the warning that the machines were loud (I was home that day). It took a minute for them to take the smaller crabapple down, but the larger maple took a little more time. I was intrigued watching them work. They had that huge tree down in an hour and a half! They all worked as a well-oiled machine and there was no one, at any time, was just standing around. They also ground up the stumps for an additional fee. They came back two days later and finished the job. Overall we were very pleased with the service done by Dorshak and will probably used them again when the time comes. read more

Very good service! very good company! We use their services at my job for snow removal. Dorshak has hardworking staff. Two weeks ago they were out snowblowing and salting when it was -20° at our very large parking lots. The owner is great and answers his cell phone for assistance 24-7. I highly recommend this company for snow services and tree services. Dorshak is a Honest family company. read more

Very thorough estimate but they are in Butler Wi and too far for them makes the quote too high for me to afford for my location in se WI.

We required a fairly difficult removal of a large tree. They arrived on time and got to work right away. I was impressed with their complete cleanup, not only of branches but debris from the wood chipper too. Professional and thorough. read more

This company took advantage of my situation to overcharge me. They gave me a phone estimate of $475 but then I figured while they were up in the tree they could take off a second branch and a few little branches that hung over my neighbors house. They charged me the emergency rate for a total of $1300! For just two limbs and a few branches! Get your estimate in writing or just don't use this company! read more

Great job! Very friendly, efficient and reasonably priced. I plan on using for future projects. During the current pandemic, they kept the professionalism. read more

We had several large trees trimmed and one large tree removed. We received quotes from multiple companies for the work. Dorshak's prices were competitive and they were very knowledgeable. Their crew worked quickly and efficiently and left the site very clean. We would definitely use them again in the future! read more

Called on Monday morning (6/12/17) and had the estimate in hand that afternoon - unfortunately we were not home when Jesse showed up, but we were very pleased with the amount of the estimate, and called that afternoon to accept the estimate. The crew - led by Dylan - showed up Friday (6/16/17) mid-afternoon and did a very thorough job on my beloved Green Ash - healthy now/and for the next several years. We are very pleased not only with the pruning, but also the clean-up. Plus the crew saw an opossum across the street - almost white in color - quite a start to the job! We have no problem recommending Dorshak. read more

Awesome job! I contracted them to cut down a tall pear tree and remove the stump. Watching them do their work I was reminded of the show "Ax Men" and how hard and dangerous tree cutting can be. Amazed at how fast & efficiently the four men accomplished their mission, all in one hour. And they cleaned up the debris after. Highly recommended. read more

We had a huge tree trimmed . My neighbor wanted the wood , so the crew went out of their way to carry it and stack it where my neighbor wanted it. They even helped my husband do some trimming on another small tree ( which wasn't in the contract ) They left the place cleaner than they found it - they even fluffed up the grass where the tire marks were. I find their prices very reasonable . This is the second time we used them , and we'll be using them again and again. Excellent company to deal with. read more

We have used Dorshak for 7(!) years to service 4 of our mature trees. They are clearly struggling. When we asked about it last year they did give 3 trees a "free" fall fertilization. We had another service look at them recently and found they were severely under dosed over the 7 years. We will lose these 30/45 foot tall trees (20-45 year old trees) in a year or two to the exact diseases that we had Dorshak Tree Service treating them for. I do not recommend Dorshak for treating treesThe owner, Myron, feels bad but that does not bring these beauties back to life! read more

Dorshak Family Tree Service came out to remove the brush from about 18 mid size trees that I had taken down in my yard. They chipped the brush and grinded the stumps. Dorshak Family Tree Service did an unbelievable job today. They came out quicker than anyone else would, in fact 2 days before their own eta, and did a superb job. Myron Dorshak and his crew, niece and nephew, was especially helpful, polite and did the job very quickly. They left a clean surface when they were done. Myron even looked at my chainsaw for me when it wasn't working. I would recommend Dorshak to anyone. read more

I would highly recommend Dorshak Tree Specialists. Jesse came over to do my estimate and within about two weeks the tree was trimmed beautifully. We have a fence in our backyard and they trimmed our large Ash tree with ropes and pulleys; very impressive work. Upon request, we collected the wood chips from our tree and used them as mulch around our house! What a good deal! We had two other estimates from other companies. Dorshak was in the same ball park financially but the least expensive of the three. read more

Great work! Dorshak Family Tree came recommended from another highly satisfied customer. I discussed with the office personal what I needed accomplish, they were understanding and informative. Trees are outside, so there was no need to be present for the initial quote. Hired them for the job. I watched the skilled workers take down my dead tree wiith easy. The after mess was minimally normal. From start to finish, highly recommended! read more

Tree removal was good, but clean up after poor. Stump grinding totally unacceptable. They delayed six weeks before finally coming out, then left the mess for two days. Very unhappy with their service overall. read more
