You cannot attend the appointment with your pet and on average, you do not get to talk to a doctor, only the reception desk. Dr. DeLong is amazing, but do not trust anyone else. If you cannot have her attending to your pet, go somewhere else.

When we picked our dogs up today, one of them had two puncture wounds and had to be placed on antibiotics after they were housed together without permission and got in a fight. After all of this, I HAD TO PAY FOR THE ANTIBIOTICS TO TREAT MY DOG AFTER THEIR SCREW UP! I shouldn't have been charged for the whole thing after their incompetence. The dogs were boarded for 5 days, and they used almost an entire 24lb bag of dog food, which would normally last 2 weeks. It's clear that the dominate dog ate way too much, and the smaller of the two has lost weight. I'm sure they fed the dogs together as well, which was clearly a terrible idea. This isn't the first time I've had issues at this clinic. On another occasion, they sent me a bill for medication that we never received. I called to ask about how to treat my dog's cough following a boarding period, and they said they would get back to me. They never called back, never sent medication, but they sure didn't have a problem sending me a bill! Finally, on another occasion, I waited in the lobby for nearly 30 minutes to drop my dogs off for boarding. No one was working with any sense of urgency, and this working at a snail's pace caused me to be late for a doctor's appointment that day. It shouldn't take more than 5 minutes to check them in, and almost 30 minutes is unacceptable. A couple of the ladies working reception are really sweet, but I cannot leave my dogs for boarding in a place that I can't be confident that they're safe.

I don't even know where to begin with how incredible Spring Valley Vet has been to us. In a world…read morewhere genuine care can sometimes feel rare, their team reminded me that there are still people who truly love what they do--and the animals they care for. What meant the most to me was their willingness to go above and beyond with after-hours medication pickup. Life doesn't always happen on a perfect schedule, and neither do pet emergencies or needs. The fact that they made it possible for me to pick up Remington's medications after hours took so much stress off my shoulders. That kind of flexibility and understanding is something you just don't find everywhere. But what truly touched my heart was the handwritten note they left. It wasn't just about the medication--it was about the thought and care behind it. "Give Mr. Remington some pets from us & safe travels to Colorado!"--something so simple, yet so meaningful. It made me feel like Remington isn't just another patient to them, but genuinely loved and cared for. You can tell this isn't just a job for them--it's a passion. From the kindness in their words to the extra steps they take to make things easier for pet owners, Spring Valley Vet treats you like family. I am beyond grateful for their compassion, their flexibility, and the little personal touches that made such a big impact. If you're looking for a vet that truly cares--not just about your pet, but about you too--this is the place. Thank you, Spring Valley Vet, for taking such amazing care of Mr. Remington. We will never forget it.
