On top of the magical dental outcome (of course top criteria #1!) here the extra things deserving the 6th star. - Amazing ambiance and design of the whole practice - lobby to WC! - Dr. Gromov was kind enough to bring a wireless speaker in the room and played us cool music - I could even Shazam some during the breaks - Amazing price (criteria #2?). I got 3D scan + consultation. The proposed treatment plan was lower cost than a different one I got 6 months ago from a different office in Arlington Heights. And it included more at the same time! - Discount payment option. A significant one! - I visited the office on Monday. Because of my travel plans ahead, the office managed to accommodate me immediately on the next day!!! This way I will have the time for my 2 weeks checkup before I travel. - Multilingual team - I had the opportunity to chat in 3 languages :-) I am almost thinking of pulling few more teeth just for the great experience :-). There were countless mistakes, her bedside manor was poor and the entire practice was unprofessional. The prescription that's supposed to make you "forget everything" did not make me forget anything. I was uncomfortable and cried the whole way through. I didn't find out until after (a few days later) that heavier sedation was even an option. Post-op was rough. I was told I'd be back to work in two days so I booked the surgery on a Friday. Duh! I had to take an additional three days off of work. When I was in pain on multiple occasions, I called Dr. Ratliff. She came across as annoyed and rushed me off the phone. Even when I called in tears from the pain, she made me feel stupid and talked down to me. The final straw happened when I went to get my stitches removed for the second time. Dr. Ratliff wasn't in so a nurse did this and caused an unusual amount of pain... I got back into my car only to look in the mirror and still see 4 or 5 stitches. I went back up. The nurse took another look and said she didn't see anything. After telling her not to touch my mouth (why would I let a woman who can't see bright blue stitches put a sharp object in my mouth...) she grabbed the receptionist to take a look. I was out of there. I never heard from Dr. Ratliff again. I have to get the surgery re done only 5 months later.
