Honestly as I'm writing I will reach out to my insurance to change Primary Doctors. I have given this facility a chance for exactly 1 year and I came to realize that they could care less about anyones time. Although you may have an appointment scheduled for over 2 months prior not only will they not respect your appointment time and see you 2 hours after but they may also tell you once you get there that they can't see you due to not having a specific Item that they need for your appointment. Now I would understand if they would have called me ahead of time to tell me that they would have to reschedule my appointment, but the fact that they would wait for me to call off from work and drive there is unreasonable! I once spent had an appointment at 9:45am and was not seen until around 11:20am just to see the doctor for exactly 8 mins (I counted) That same day I had an appointment at 1:00pm with a different specialist at the same building and was not seen by this specialist until 3:14pm by the time I got to the parking lot to go home it was 5:37pm. I'm currently experiencing this as I'm typing this from inside a patient room. My appointment today was at 10:45am and it is currently 12:14pm and they just told me they have 3 patients ahead of me. When I informed them that I have an appointment at 1:00pm at a different office they just asked me if I wanted to reschedule the appointment to a different day. I told them that I'm here today because they had just rescheduled my appointment from last week due to them not having the device needed for my appointment for today! I see why they have such bad reviews now and as of today I will definitely look for different providers at a different location. read more

If I could give this place 0 , I would. Still do not understand why this place continues to be open and to employ people with no knowledge or manners. Let's put it this way: this place = a clinic in a third world country. If your appointment is at 1, you are more likely to wait until 3 to be called in. After you are inside, you must wait again for the doctor for a looong time. These doctors are more concerned with updating their iPads than listening to your concerns. If you need a referral, let's just say you will be waiting for weeks!!!! Every time you need a referral you must schedule an appt to see the doctor which won't happen for about a month. The referral department or "Managed Care" as they call it one of the worst places I have experienced. They have no idea what is like to deal with patients over the phone or in person. read more

This place is hit or miss. Came yesterday with my son to see Dr. Mudon and was in and out within an hour and a half. I was pleasantly surprised after reading all the negative reviews. However, I came in today with my daughter who just needed referrals and we waited 2.5 hours to see a resident who knew nothing about referrals and basically just wasted my time. At the 3 hour mark we finally saw Dr. Tiernie who basically had to input everything I had told the resident into the computer properly. If you have no choice but to come to this place be prepared to wait and bring snacks. read more

Fraudulent bill I scheduled an appointment for a general doctor visit but ended up canceling. 45 days later I received a $178 bill in the mail for a 'visit'. After I had my health insurance company investigate this bill it became known that CHI charged me for this "visit" that never happened. I'm wondering how many others they are sending these fake medical bills to. I've put in a complaint to my health insurance and they are investigating further. read more

If I could leave 0 stars I would. I was in line for the COVID-19 testing for over an hour to find out that I did not meet the criteria for the testing when I got to the nurses, 1hr plus later. Mind you that I have fever, cough but no shortness of breath yet. Feeling bad as hell. More then likely I got it but they won't test me because I don't meet the criteria. I've used this organization several times at three different locations (it has eleven offices throughout South Florida) and my honest opinion is that the service and care here ranges from mediocre to poor. Among the problems I've experienced are long wait times (over two hours), doctors who refused to prescribe medication I need (I later received them from doctors outside of CHI), unhelpful psychotherapists, last minute schedule changes and billing mistakes. The only positive thing I have to say about CHI is that it offers a sliding scale payment schedule for low-income, local residents. Use this organization only if you don't have insurance and if you're options for health care are limited, otherwise go elsewhere. read more

Sliding scale for dental ends up being more expensive then regular visits, considering you can only get one service per visit, i.e. if you have 2 fillings you need 3 appointments, o e for a eval, one per each filling so the total ends up being more expensive for 3 visits, then one at a regular dentist., especially when they bait and switch you and do all kinds of hygienist things and charge you a bunch of money for it without really doing any work. This place is a ripoff with poor customer service, poor doctors, and dirty facilities. I'd give you a negative star for wasting our time and providing terrible service. read more

Sadly my insurance doesn't offer me many primary care doctors locally, so I got stuck going here. First off, at my annual checkup, it took them over two hours to see me. It was strange that they pulled me into an examining room so early only to have me stare blankly at a white room and pray that my phone's battery would last long enough to keep me entertained. Well, whatever, it happens. I figured I only have to do this once a year, I can deal with it. They sent me over for labs the following week. My 9AM appointment didn't matter apparently (and there was the irony of the sign on the wall explaining that making an appointment would reduce your waiting time). The waiting area was completely full, and I have to admit they looked like they were trying to get everyone through quickly. But it was yet another wait of almost two hours. At that rate, why not just schedule us for later? The staff are very nice but maybe it's just that they're understaffed or overbooked? FRIDAY, APRIL 26, 2019: I called to ask if I have a balance on my account and I was told there is $56. I wanted to pay over the phone. She informed me that there is no one in the office who knows how to collect payment. To call tomorrow, Saturday and the person in charge of collection will be there on Saturday. SATURDAY APRIL 27, 2019: I called twice at 10 am , no one answered the phone. I called again and MALIKA answered the phone. She said there is no one in the office who knows how to collect payments and to call on Tuesday. She advised me that it is not her JOB to collect payments. I asked for the email address of CHI head of operations. She transferred me to KIM TAIT. I have never experienced such unprofessional attitude. She was calling me "Honey", "sweetheart etc. She also informed me that it is not in her job description to collect payments. I asked who does she direct report to. she said no one. At this point, I was beyond frustration. She was screaming at me and repeating everything I asked sarcastically. And then she said "WHAT IS YOUR NAME AND WHAT IS THE ISSUE?" IN A SCREAMING CONDESCENDING MANNER. I was thunderstruck! I then told her the issue for I want TO PAY! She again said, its not in MY job description to collect payments. I was confused for she just got done telling me that she does not report to anybody. She then said: "WE ARE GETTING READY TO CLOSE AND I CANNOT HELP YOU!" CLICK. Hung up on me. Who am I supposed to reach out to pay the balance? Can someone please call me? This is unacceptable behavior especially coming from a medical facility. Dr. Robinson has been very professional and very polite as ever but his staff, not sure what they are thinking. It's like night and day! Customer service in that office is VERY VERY POOR! Thank you for your attention regarding this matter and I expect a phone call from a superior who handles that office and/or Kim Tait's supervisor. I could hear them in the back having a good ole time but it seems work was the least of their priorities. This place is a joke from check in to check out. Why the clinic in Homestead has not been shut down is beyond me. The place looks like a third world cell: dirty and smelly don't even begin to describe it. When we walked into the exam room the floor, the bed and the scale were all rusted. Love this center. The staff is kind, helpful and very professional. Find many health care services only rivaled by large hospitals. The wait is an issue but in all fairness I routinely accompany many of my older relatives to HMO's, Hospitals and to doctors private practices and its the same. Make your appointments late in the afternoon that way you wont be waiting there more than an hour or so. The pharmacy is very good with just about all the medications you can imagine. There is a tremendous waste of donated money on paper, unneeded equipment, ridiculous remodeling and changing things around, unneeded management employees and big bosses, at the same time, cutting on patient services.
