We initially discovered this restaurant on our first trip to Gargnano and it was the perfect romantic dinner for two. The dining room was filled with people eating quickly so they could head down the street to the opera. We sat on the two chairs on the sidewalk in front of the window. We slowly drank a glass each of Amarone della Valpolicella Classico Riserva whole we watched the well dressed Veronese head to the opera. Great people watching and great wine -- the best we drank in Italy. If we had had another night in Verona we would have returned for dinner. BTW L'Orologio means "the clock." The restaurant is located by the clock in the city walls, hence the name. Did I mention how wonderful the Amarone is? Deep, rich, complex red wine from Veneto.
