In a time when anyone and everyone seems to be calling themselves a photographer, its refreshing to know there are still trained professionals out there who can give you the photos you dreamed of. We are so grateful for her time and energy! She held our hands through the entire process, and made sure we felt comfortable. We highly recommend her to everyone, especially those with small children. She's magic!!

The Shoot: This was our 4th session with Meredith but our…read morefirst time working with her outside the comforts of NYC. Like every other previous session, she brought her energetic spirit and magnetic charisma behind the camera. I still don't know how, but she manages to capture so many moments of candid magic. Whether indoor or outdoor, pre-planned or off-the-cuff, Meredith never fails to bring out the absolute best in us with every session. A good photographer may take flattering pictures, but Meredith is an artist that captures moments. The emotions and actions in front of her lens are perfectly preserved in time and I cannot stress how much of a difference it makes to be able to look at her work and see the joy and love expressed in it. The Products: By now we've enjoyed several products that I think I can provide a recommendation here. 1.) First and foremost is the album. Whether you go with the leather, linen, or the hardcover, get yourself an album! Regular albums contain a series of photographs that are nice to look at, but what you'll put together with Meredith is a story captured in images. The narrative you build with her is woven into the album in a way that you just can't replicate by yourself. It may not seem all that significant if this is your first album, but you'll understand it a year from now when you look back. 2.) The think the gallery canvases are the best way to display your moments on the walls of any room. The quality of the images are excellent and worth every penny. I recommend using them in a 2- or 3-part series if you have a wall that can accommodate. 3.) The crystal trio is what regular acrylic frames wish they could do. With the image professionally affixed to the block, there is no wear and tear on the image, no magnets to rub up against the photo, just a perfectly preserved picture with a high quality acrylic block that creates a beautiful effect that you don't get with anything else. The moments that you want to revisit over and over again are the ones you want to preserve in these. 4.) The digital collection is my personal favorite. Take the images and throw them on your smart TV or whatever streaming device you use and you've got yourself a big screen digital frame. Set them as a slide show in your screen saver or background on your computer or phone and you can enjoy them in your office. If figuring out the order to display the photos is not something you want to spend time doing, the image slideshow Meredith produces are an exceptional way to get the "story" feel from the album in a digital form. TL;DR: If you want to preserve the meaningful moments in your life or those around you, this is your photographer. Get her scheduled now and you can come back and read this review later.

The same week my dog Ozzy was diagnosed with an…read moreextremely aggressive cancer and was given a painfully short prognosis, I also learned that I had won a photoshoot with Rachel Eve Pet Photography. After taking a few days to process the news that I was about to lose my best friend, I contacted Rachel and asked if we could schedule the photoshoot ASAP because my time with Ozzy was painfully limited. Rachel was beyond understanding and accommodating. She worked with me to get Ozzy's photoshoot scheduled immediately. She also let me bring Ozzy's brother, Pikle, to the photoshoot, as well as my two sisters. I was so incredibly grateful that she agreed to photograph all of us together. She was beyond kind and compassionate throughout the entire journey. Rachel was genuinely interested in learning about Ozzy and Pikle and wanted to get to know them. We chose to do our photoshoot in Central Park, and I was so impressed with all the creative shots Rachel captured! She was extremely patient as Ozzy and Pikle demanded treats, and ensured that we got the right shots. The photoshoot was only supposed to last an hour, but she never once looked at her watch and pressed us on time. If anything, I think we were in the park taking photos for closer to two hours! My favorite moment was after we had wrapped up the photoshoot and were walking out of the park, and we decided to buy Ozzy and Pikle a hotdog. She couldn't resist but whip her camera back out and take additional shots of them devouring their hot dogs, even though the photoshoot had already concluded. I can't thank Rachel enough for the precious memories she helped us capture. That weekend in Central Park ended up being the last weekend Ozzy was himself before we started to decline, and ultimately got his wings a few weeks later. It was the most amazing gift when Rachel let us know that our photographs were ready, and she brought him back to us with her art. She beautifully captured him in all his glory, and captured the most beautiful memories of him frolicking with his brother, Pikle. I will always cherish these memories Rachel gave us, and will particularly cherish the beautiful family shots she was able to capture of us with Ozzy and Pikle. I highly recommend Rachel Eve Photography for any pet photoshoots! She's accommodating, kind, compassionate, and extremely talented! She brilliantly captured our boys in their full glory, and beautifully captured us with them. She helped us create these precious memories and her beautiful art will always remind us of how amazing our boy was. I can't say it enough - thank you Rachel for these memories!!!

I had my first session with him and he was such a wonderful collaborator. He was very personable and laid-back yet professional. I think because he has an acting background he understands what the process is like for us and how to help us do more than just stand there and try to look good. He coached me throughout the shoot in a way that was like working with a director on a film. We took shots on his roof, on the streets and then out in an industrial looking alley. It was cold as hell but his energy and professionalism made the shoot feel like a breeze. It makes such a difference when you can tell that the photographer is working to understand you and to find ways to capture what he's learning frame by frame. Needless to say, I ordered 13 different "poses", and they are placed throughout my home and my parents' home. It's not just that Regan took good pictures; Louise, my dog, is not cooperative at all while being photographed (read: Sean Penn), but when you can get her looking, she's not very photogenic. Don't get me wrong, she's a good looking bitch, anyone would say so, she's just not photogenic. So, when I got the proofs back and there were countless pictures that captured her playfulness, personality and attitude, I was so pleasantly surprised. She was super relaxed with Regan (they had never met), playing with her ball, rolling around and just acting as she would if we were hanging out at the park. It was fun for me too, a great memory and perfect that I have it in pictures. Also, we did two shoots. The first one it got a bit rainy about halfway through, and after Regan scanned the "roll", she called me saying she'd like to take some more. That's a professional. It's not just about 'photos for money' with Regan. She wants it to be the best. She stands behind her work, which is why it's exceptional. She's passionate about it. One thing I did that I would recommend is, I wrote a list of things I loved about Louise - her little paws, her mohawk, her little figure, etc. Regan made sure to get some shots and that makes them all that more personal - she captured these things that are special to me about Louise. It's as though I took the pictures.
