When I mentioned I wanted to take photos on the National Mall, she let me know I needed to apply for and receive a permit from the National Park Service (we called it our donation fee to keep from getting bitter with NPS). It took longer than expected to get from one end of DC to another due to an unexpected road closure (dignitary motorcade), so we were running about an hour late. I was so grateful Erin was willing to wait for our arrival on a day that is best described as "unseasonably cold". Erin kept the initial portion of the photo shoot moving as she knew those under 7 years old and over 70 years old were expiring fast in the cold weather. She even was able to coax a smile out of Alexandra (my niece) who at 7 months old believes in "stranger danger." My favorite part of the photo shoot was the time my husband and I got to spend "just us" with Erin as it felt fun (and we got to kiss a lot). The photos turned out amazingly beautiful and I loved her creative shots! Erin knew just where to take us on an overcast day! Erin even had a blueberry pie on hand for Pi Day. It's those special touches that don't scream cheesy, but scream memorable! I included a few samples (and possibly I'm not the best model) but Erin truly made all of look amazing.

I called this company to get a quote for a video project. Then I get an email from Eddy asking me for my address and other contact details so he can provide a quote. Did that and then he went dark. No response. No quote. So I called back Brett and told him I was still waiting for a quote from Eddy and he said the bookkeepers were out and I would get it soon. Well, I hired another company since they failed to render me a quote. But I had the decency to text Brett back. See below I wrote to Brett: Never got the quote from your company even after I sent my contact and address details. Very poor service. I signed with someone else. Brett replied: We work on an hourly basis with no contract. Did eddy create an email with address ? I replied to Brett: got 2 emails and I replied to him. He went dark. I never heard back from Eddy. I hired another company Brett replied: Sorry, your experience had a difficultly. Didn't know a written estimate was going to be a deal breaker ?  I hope the other company provides you the service your looking for I replied: They will Brett replied in foul language: C-----t I replied: Your disgusting Brett replied in foul language: C-----t To the owner of this company, you should reprimand your staff, especially Brett who spoke to me using filthy language. My fiance and I recently worked with dp3 studio for our engagement shoot. We found them through…read moreLiving Social and got a steal of a deal for the session itself, and Andy even made us a great offer for bulk pricing for any photos we wanted to purchase. We ended up buying 80 shots, so it's safe to say we liked they way our images turned out :) We were a bit camera shy, but Andy was really relaxed and friendly. We had a lot of fun and Andy took some really nice, natural-looking shots. He gave us a really long session, actually, well over the hour that we paid for. Never rushed. Also, we really love the way he plays with light in his photography. My only minor critique would be that maybe Andy is used to working with better models than us :) He had lots of ideas for poses, but personally, we could have used a little more coaching on when to look at the camera, away, etc.-- again, camera shy. Overall a great experience, and when considering the very reasonable price, dp3 was a no-brainer! Recommended.

Make up was A little light looking back I wish I told her to go a bit heavier but that's up to you. It's $90 extra for the makeup and worth it for close ups. Very happy with results, very professional system. I needed my photos fast and Andy was able to get them to me same day. Only thing is the lighting is so beautiful in his space it can make you a little washed out. I should've had that retouched he does various shots and poses so you get a good variety. All in all, very happy. Will return but will know what adjustments to ask for next time. I live in the neighborhood so I also like the opportunity to support locally owned businesses. This is a no fuss, efficient professional photographer who will get you exactly what you need and make you look good.
