Today I turned my back and walked out of there without any treatment because they wanted to charge me $140+ for treatment of periodontal problems -- but I do not have any such problems, nor have I ever had them. Today, I was asked to pay even before being allowed to go back to the treatment room. The receptionist told me that "looking in my chart" I have been getting perio treatments since 2022 and they have been charging my insurance company for them. Aspen Dental bills the insurance company direct so I am not aware of what was sent to the insurance company to make them pay for perio treatments I did not need (who really knows what they bill the insurance company for?). This year I changed insurance, and because the new insurance company will not pay for perio treatment, Aspen Dental now wants me to pay for it. I never have had periodontal problems and it should never have been in my chart. I complained about it, and asked that perio problems be removed from my chart -- and was told it cannot be done--ever. Whoever is in charge there could have had their hygienist look at my mouth and confirm that I did not need that treatment, but I was not offered that option. I was shocked to be treated like this after going there for so many years. I trusted them, but no longer am willing to. Ira from Tryon.

I've spent close to 10k at this dentist. Both of those men have left. So I was left with Nicolas Amati. Who I've heard nice things. After explaining my financial situation and frustration that I was told I would have ZERO issues for 15-20 years with this method, to have to be a in a third time. Then told I had to be in pain or spend several thousand more to TRY to fix it. . I explained I'm going to go elsewhere because that shouldn't be the only solutions and was poor customer service. I told him he can't be so rude and criticizing I have many fillings and saying being a teacher I should have awesome insurance and doesn't believe me we don't. I explained to him that I've dropped $10,000 at that dentist office and was told I wouldn't have any issues with my teeth and I have nothing but issues with my teeth and his solution of spending several thousand dollars more, pulling out the teeth or just living with pain are simply not options for me, and I would go someplace else to get a second opinion, that I found him very unprofessional to judge me for my fillings and financial situation. I asked if he had a supervisor or someone above him and he said yes. So told him I needed his supervisors name because he's very rude and cannot just shout at me or criticize my teeth or how often I'm able to go to the dentist. He did state there was someone higher than him but that he would not give it to me. This is when he shouted that I was being unruly and had to leave. I asked how I was unruly in standing there, no raised voice besides his and that didn't go well for him. So, unless I was outside the building he wouldn't give it to me. I told him I didn't believe he would give it to me if I waited outside because of his actions and none of his secretaries would either as he told them not to. they all looked like they were terrified of him and kept telling me to just go, and it would be easier. So he began running around the office and doing the whole rub your eyes in frustration thing and yelling at me to leave or he was calling the police I told him once I closed my account with the front desk and got the owners name, I would be happy to leave. In his tantrum he ran around, ran into somebody and and called the police tell them he was unsure if I had weapons on me but I claimed I didn't. After about 20 minutes, of being told to leave even after calling the police. I explained that when someone calls the police I can't just run and he now made it so I had to wait. two officers showed up they told me I should've left and called the police on him. They also suggest I take that facility to court and they made them give me whoever the owners phone number is with just a first name and a cell phone number. I'm not sure it's even a real number but I did call and leave a message for whoever "Bo" is. Please don't let this man near you. He was unnecessarily rough and caused me a lot of pain telling me my tooth only hurt because he poked at it despite me expressing it hurt prior to me coming. He definitely had a problem with compassionate care and being a professional

I want to start off by saying when I first entered this practice I was delighted to see a Bible on…read morethe entryway table in the foyer. It was opened to a scripture but I didn't take time to read it as we were hurrying to get checked in. I wish now that I had looked because this Dr. Bryant most certainly did not act in any manner whatsoever that would glorify Christ. Point blankly, I would avoid Dr. Bryant at all costs. The office staff was super nice and knowledgeable regarding the billing but that's the only positive thing I can say about this practice. We waited in the waiting room for approx. 15min then waited in the exam room for more than a hour to see Dr. Bryant! He came in all hurried, talking over us, not wanting to give us a chance to talk or ask questions, was rude & arrogant, and seemed to think he knew more about our child and his insurance than we did. I assure you he did not. I had spent an extensive amount of time with my child's insurance provider on the phone prior to the visit so that I would know what our responsibility would be. I told him we would be paying out of pocket but he was so concerned about the insurance and not billing them. I told him to feel free to bill them but they would not pay and we would have to. Even his nurse tried to tell him that they too had verified that the insurance would not pay until he was 15 years of age but you could tell he was not going to concede that we knew more about it than he did and he suggested that if he allowed us to pay out of pocket we would be causing him to commit insurance fraud which was ridiculous. Made no sense! I had NOT told him he couldn't bill them, I just told him he would not get paid by them so we would be paying. Ugh!! Everything that came out of his mouth was asinine. So, just so I'm not posting anything that I do not know to be factual, I followed up the next day with the insurance company and they reiterated to me, 1. Yes, he can bill them but, 2. No, it wouldn't be covered therefore he would receive no compensation from them. 3. Yes, the child had to be at 15yrs. old before they would paying for this procedure. 4. Yes, we would HAVE to pay for it out of pocket if we wanted him to have it done now. 5. No, they would not charge the provider with insurance fraud for allowing us to pay out of pocket. Also, I might add, even the insurance representative chuckled at this particular concern of his. (TOLD YOU SO, Dr. Bryant!) This is why we need healthcare reform! Doctors do not want private pay clients because they know they can not charge as much / get paid as much!! Anyway, We did not even get to the medical aspect of what brought us in before my husband, who is the MOST kind, gentle, and patient man you could ever meet, interrupted him to tell him just to forget about it and turned to me to say, "Come on, we're leaving." Seriously, NO ONE, in a professional position, has ever acted the way he did and now I can understand why he was not on the list of recommended providers given to us. I've never met anyone like him and hope to never again. I would steer very clear of this practice! I found my desire for convenience is not worth going to this doctor and I would not trust him with my child because it was obvious my child's care was most certainly NOT his priority.

Having multiple children who will need to have their wisdom teeth taken out, I had hoped to find a good oral surgeon and looked at reviews before making my decision. However, we were disappointed in our experience with Carolina Oral and Facial. The surgery itself was uneventful, but when we called with a simple question about whether it would be okay to alternate my daughter's medicine, Dr. Williams immediately angrily stated that nothing that my daughter was feeling had anything to do with what he had done. I have absolutely no idea why he seemed to feel attacked by such a simple question. He demanded to speak with my daughter and after aggressively asking her repetitive questions (leaving her in tears), I told him I would just call our pharmacist instead. Which is what I did, and it worked out well in the end, but it was a bit scary to know that I couldn't have a conversation with the person I had trusted to perform surgery on my child. Skill is obviously a very important trait in a doctor, but I am not comfortable and do not trust someone so unprofessional, so we will be seeking a new oral surgeon for my youngest child.

I had dental surgery and two upper crowns placed. Crowns and stems do not last forever and I have had them replaced twice since that time. About two years ago one of the stems broke again and my front upper cap came off . I had other estimates in Greenville to get the stem repaired,( as well as pricing for permanent implants) and felt defeated each time when assessing the overall cost involved. I cannot say enough about Dr Hoskins and his entire staff! From the first phone call I noticed a true caring for me as an individual struggling with a cosmetic dental issue, the overall cost involved , the PTSD I still struggle with from the incident , and the personal embarrassment I felt trying to find a resolution I could afford and do in stages. As a woman , this repair is not only esthetically important to me but it carries a lot of emotional baggage as well. They listened to me , did not try to brush off my feelings , and treated me as an individual! I felt valued as a customer, and felt they listened to my needs. Historically I have absolutely cringed at the thought of going for dental work. I would almost rather do anything than go to the dentist ! But Dr Hoskins and his team made me feel welcomed and listened to my concerns , then came up with 2-3 different options or paths we could take together to improve my smile and dental health. I never felt like a freak or an anomaly ( which I had felt before from other dental offices ) when getting estimates or repairs. As well as giving me 2-3 options for the future , Dr Hoskins offered me a quick ( temporary ) resolution to repair the cap which no one else had even thought of or offered. I'm sending everyone i know to this office ! They are a great group of caring professionals! You are not just a number here - they will take the time to see you and hear your concerns. Tonight I cried on the way home, feeling incredibly blessed - (and still in shock) at the quick repair they made until I can afford to see the oral surgeon. If you hate going to the dentist , have put off your visit or cleaning due to COVID - don't delay ! Call Dr Hoskins and his team and schedule an appointment. I promise you won't regret it! There's something very different here as compared to other dental offices !
