All of the companies I had spoken with wanted nothing but money upfront with promises of unrealistic results. Fast Tax Help fully explained the options available to me with both the State and the Federal Departments of Revenue and the options that were available to me. I learned more in the first call with Russell with Fast Tax Help than I did from the last 5 or 6 companies I had spoken to, he took the time to explain the solutions, actually cared about what I wanted out of hiring his firm. In the end my Federal Tax Liability was eliminated and I actually got a refund check from the IRS, how they did that was through using penalty waivers and complicated use of the tax code. With the state I am paying them 17% of my income until the balance, however the company is working to reduce that payment down to 10%. I was told by Bailey that I should be getting a nice portion of my past taxes back, due to some federal guidelines. They said they were happy to work with me. So I gave them their retainer, They worked feverishly at first, but couldn't get anyone from the federal IRS TO RESPOND. The only thing at the end was to recover some penalties. It Took so long, (6 months) to get back money that the IRS charged me for penalties I paid in the past. It carried on for so long, that they said I needed to pay them more money, because of the extra time they put in. I said, it wasn't my fault that they couldn't get the project done. The main amount of the project wasn't taken care of, then the project was cancelled and was filed as incomplete. Bottom line after all was said and done, I got a call stating the IRS said, there is nothing they WANT TO DO, because the taxes were already paid. so, because careful for what you are told and investigate it, before you plunge head first as I did. They required payment up front before reviewing the matter, then did nothing to provide value. When I requested a review of my termination letter, the attorney response was "I will defer to you as to the content of your letter." and agreement with referencing the Termination clause. I am founder and CEO of a successful tech enabled services company out of Vero Beach, FL with over 1500 corporate clients. This was a small matter for us but could have led to a lot more business for Lulich law. They may be ok in other areas like Real Estate but contract law is clearly not a strength.
