Essentially, this is a bar that serves some food ... badly. Menu is entirely in Spanish -- and while they do provide an iPad with most menu items translated (poorly) into English, none of the waitresses speak a word of English -- so when we made a selection, they weren't sure what we were ordering, and entered the wrong item into their system. We ordered a large salad and a "platter" entree, both to share. The salad arrived, but with the wrong entree ... which they took back, and didn't bother to reorder the correct one! We found this out only after waiting 45 minutes for the correct entree, only to discover that it was never going to arrive. Rather than wait another hour, we bailed. Don't eat here. You can probably get a decent drink or glass of wine (I don't know for sure, as I don't drink alcohol) -- but if it's food you're after, go around the corner to Juan y Medio, or down the street to Ocean Pacific or Los Vikingos.

For example, the list said the Carmenere was a 2015 vintage, but it was actually a 2018. It was good, just young and pretty sweet. I was warned that the empanada (cheese and mushroom) was going to take a little while (the kitchen is not connected to the wine bar, so they have to go and fetch it), which was no problem since I was not in a rush (amazing, I know, since I'm always running behind). Imagine my surprise when the empanada arrived piping hot, presented on a fancy slate tray with utensils! I didn't know you could eat them with a fork and knife! (Empanadas are notoriously street food so you're lucky if they come wrapped in a paper towel.) All in all, this is a nice spot in the middle of the airport, where, if you're going to pay for food rather than sit in a lounge, you will not be disappointed.

From the way tables are arranged to how the menu is structures, sharing and communion are clearly the core concepts defining the spirit of this place. Regarding their food, I tend to agree with what others comment about this place. There is way too much focus on fried food-I would not consider their menu attractive for someone looking for healthy options around this trendy area of Santiago. I had the fish tacos and they were really really good. However, I do not hold the same opinion about the boletus croquetas. The croquetas were bland and lacked and boring (truly nothing exciting about them)... I would definitely recommend the tacos, but croquetas are a waste of money and time. Cocktails in general, and gin in particular, are supposed to be their distinctive feature with the rest of pubs/bars in the area. I was not impressed with the variety of Gin they hold. My personal impression is that they are not running any kind of risk when it comes to selecting some labels over others and that they are not open to consider some really good ones (for example: G-vine). Because it was hard for me see their expertise in a menu where Gin Mare is expected to shine, I decided to try some cocktails. I ordered a negroni and it was OK, nothing memorable about it. I also tried the Gin Yang, which I had to the send back because I prefered to avoid an instant visit to the doctor. The level of sweetness was simply overwhelming... In general this place is ok, but I would probably think twice before coming back. I really enjoyed the sharing-based value proposition but I do feel that they are not capable to meet the expectations proposed in their menu.
