Little ants on the floor.
Kerrin M.

Just got back from Mother's Day Brunch- where do I start: - Completely Over priced - NOT worth it! - Our view was NOT of the nice golf course - Hardly ate anything bc the food just wasn't good. I left hungry. - Don't bother w/ the Bloody Mary's - disappointing - Waited for 15 minutes on an omelet line of 3 ppl before getting off. Needless to say I never got one. The station ran out of ALL the fixins for the omelets so the chef decided to go in the back to get more. She didn't re- appear for at least 25 minutes. Call me crazy but shouldn't someone else be replenishing the stations leaving the chef in place? I complained to who I think was the hostess and all she said was that "the manager was going in there." That did absolutely NOTHING! - When I asked the women behind the buffet what each of the dishes were she shrugged her shoulders and said she didn't know. I then asked one of the servers and he hardly knew either. WHAT?????? U do work there right? - Our table was NOT ready at 1pm and we sat down at 1:30pm - The floor was filthy from previous crumbs of food - There were little ants by our table - I took a photo. We will NEVER be returning. Can't believe this place is even part of the Lessings group and that we wasted close to $150 for 2 & 1/2 ppl w/ tip.

If I could give this place half a star I would. & the only reason we stayed was because we were at a function for someone close to us & the air conditioning was on. You have to walk quite a distance to get from the parking lot to the catering hall & a flight of wooden stairs. There is no backround/elevator music playing, all the silverware was dirty &/or spotty, there were random curly hairs on the table. Horrific. To add to the fun the "waitstaff" walking around with various trays of fried things picked & chose who they would offer the food to. When I asked if I should use my hands, they said sure. No plates on the table, no napkins, no silverware, not even a toothpick. Do not arrange for any function here, you will regret it. Yuk.

This was a nice place for a party. The food was ok I think the staff seemed unprepared for us as we arrived. In the end I think they ran out of food. The bartender refused to give shot of tequila even though the host bought a bottle for that specifically.

The best day of my life

What a shame! Place was very run down and beat up. Don't even waste your time looking at it for a wedding.

The childrens and adults programs are educational, informative, and fun. The farm has allowed suburban children the opportunity to learn about all the aspects of farming from sowing and birthing on through to harvesting. It is not a petting zoo; while there are animals of all sorts, they are there as farm animals to provide eggs, wool, and yes, meat. From the first date night that my husband and I had in the area in front of the fireplace, at what is now known as the Mirabelle Tavern, to hosting two Bar Mitzvah receptions and now a major birthday party, the Inn feels like home. The ambience, historic charm, wonderful service and delicious food has never been a disappointment. We have had many dinners, and have always loved entrées from scrumptious Sea Bass to Filet Mignon seasoned and cooked to perfection. Two weeks ago we came for Sunday buffet brunch. It was a-full array of delicious entrées, from hot chafing dishes of Chicken Fricassee, Cod, Pasta, fresh sautéed veggies to name a few. Additionally, there was a carving station with fresh turkey and beef of some sort with cranberry relish. On the cold side, I really enjoyed the smoked salmon, bagels as well as an assortment of cold Anti-pasta cured meats, cheese and salads. I had two refreshing mimosas, dessert and honestly came home and slept for the rest of the day. The food was fantastic! This validated our decision to throw another party there in the fall for a birthday! The staff is always pleasant, warm and welcoming. A very heartfelt thank you to Dan Laffitte, whom we've known from our Community and as the head at the Inn, for being instrumental in facilitating such wonderful family occasions.

They constantly came around to make sure our water glasses were filled and asked if we needed any other types of beverages. My favorite part of the evening was the cocktail hour. My niece is a huge fan of everything barbecue so there was a lovely spread of pulled pork, mac & cheese, coleslaw, a brisket carving station, and passed hors d'oeuvres, such as sliders and scrumptious mini crabcakes. Being this was in Stony Brook, it was a long drive from home, but we had an absolutely wonderful time nonetheless.

I attended a bridal shower here in June and it was one of the best if not the best bridal shower I have ever been to, and I have been to many. Everything about this venue was perfect. The parking lot is a bit of a walk to the building, that's the only negative thing I have to say. The place is absolutely beautiful. Wooden structures inside overlooking the boardwalk with large windows, I mean I can't say enough about how beautiful a setting it was. The food for the shower was fantastic. Omelette station, standard brunch fare, all delicious. Tomato, mozzarella and basil, cheese and meat boards, delicious vegetables and fruit, I was wow-ed. The staff was phenomenal, coffee was literally insane. I couldn't believe how good the coffee was so I went up to a worker and asked what they use. He came back and said, "Folgers." I kid you not. I was so embarrassed but also went to Stop and Shop after I left the shower and bought a big thing of Folgers coffee because it's SO DARN GOOD. It was somewhat of a windy day so we stayed inside most of the time except for photos where we went outside onto the boardwalk and had a beautiful view of the beach. I attribute so much of this fantastic shower to the people who put it together as they brought a donut wall and had a make your own flower bouquet station and so on and so forth but the venue itself and the staff and the clean huge bathrooms were a 10/10. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking to have an event.
