No frills cigar lounge with full bar attached. Service is friendly and fast and english is limited. Humidor selection isn't as vast as some others but it'll do. Anything related to Montecristo is completely absent from inventory, but a full line of EP Carrillo and Oliva offset that. You'll find something for sure. Prices are in line if not a little better than higher end places and drinks are reasonable as well. Atmosphere is mixed depending on time of day. At night it feels like you're sitting in the center of spring break Cancun with 6 night clubs of music bombarding you from every angle. That said, it's a tremendous people watching point. read more

Service was great. Selection of cigars was awesome. The value, the price of the cigars, beers and drinks was not expensive at all. If you decide to go and don't want to deal with big crowds go late evening. About 7 or 8pm during the week. If u decide to go Friday or Saturday night be ready for the crowd. They don't have air conditioning. But u get to seat outside with the locals and listen to there stories if u know Spanish. I went back for a second time. Loved it !! read more

The place is at the corner of La Placita. The party or night club area. It's well maintained and has a bar attached. I enjoyed two local cigars recommended by the ladies working inside the cigar lounge. One was dipped in the local rum. Would definitely come back and enjoy another drink and cigar. Great people watching area. read more

The staff at Don Rey Cigars was very friendly and helpful when I visited their location at La Placita last night. I am an experienced smoker and was looking for something unique that perhaps I wouldn't find back home in Chicago. I enjoyed one of their house label coronas. It was a nice medium blend of all Puerto Rican filler and wrapper. A pleasant surprise! I smoked it on their patio while enjoying a beverage and the music from the bar. Bravo Don Rey! read more

A nice spot for cigars. A decent selection, but focused on Gurkha. Prices are middle range between Cigar House (best prices) and Kuros and the Avo Lounge (highest markups). Inside is small but there are lots of tables and chairs outside in the front. Good drink prices with several choices of rum, as well as most standard cocktails. Service is friendly. read more

Found it on yelp so walked over to see what it was about. They had a fair selection including their own Don Rey's. Had a great cigar and a few good rums. Everyone was friendly and felt like a good vibe. A little Cuba for sure. I bought a box of Don Rey's to take home and keep the vibe going. I will return when time permits. All in all a good afternoon. read more

I do not recommend this place. They will try to scam and over charge you. Then when you call them out on it they will act clueless. Please check your receipts before paying. read more

Great place, friendly staff, they had my fav brand & and even other patrons walked up shook your hand and said hello.

Is this place is cheap? No. I was charged $16 for an inexpensive La Galera I'd normally buy in Orlando (FL) for $7-8. These are not Cuban Cigars. Get real. read more

Very cool place. The place had the most chill vibe. My wife and I sat outside on a nice breezy night, enjoys a couple of glasses of wine while enjoying the smooth sounds of the live band. They played mostly jazz tunes and it was great. The waitress was also very friendly and accommodating. She was also helpful with her recommendations of wine. We had a very nice time.

Stumbled upon this cigar shop and bar while in the La Placita. I went to the cigar shop on a Friday night. The shop is small, but it is the place to be at night over the weekend for local cigar connoisseurs. There is not much seating inside, but there is much more seating outside in front of the shop.Though small, the shop has a huge selection of cigars. I was in the mood for Puerto Rican cigars and they had several. I recommend the vanilla infused Puerto Rican cigar. Interestingly, the shop provides in house complimentary cutters but not lighters. I thought that was odd but luckily I had my own (but they were kind enough to refill my lighter). Because I had my own, several people asked if they could use it which was completely fine because it facilitated multiple conversations with multiple people. Everybody there is friendly. Everyone smiles, laughs, and do not take themselves seriously. The shop was a nice, intimate social hub. read more

Authentic Island experience. To sit in a table on the street and listen to local music and witness local interaction without agenda is akin to participating in a Hemingway moment. Here's your destination if you want the unabridged, road less traveled real deal that you will talk about for a very, very long time. Simply beautiful... Anna and and Diplomatico on the rocks strongly recommended. read more
