Always packed and full of people who know one another. I wouldn't call it traditional because although their dishes are sort of like comfort food while sophisticated and original. There were only three servers who were incredibly overextended, but the service standards were terrible (For example, not giving us a test pour of the wine to see if the bottle was OK, and just leaving it on the table - and not providing anyway to chill the white wine while we were having dinner; we had to work really hard to get a bottle of water with our meal, and then the waitresses would disappear for long stretches and we never did get a refill of it). We had two beautiful dinners on our other two nights in France, but this was just ridiculously bad. We couldn't get out fast enough at the end of dinner (In part because it took so long just to get the damn check, but also because we were so anxious to leave). If you like a lively fish market with good selection then this is it but surprisingly it can be more expensive than the shops in the locality. The restaurant is certainly in keeping with the fisherman's theme. Food is fine but the prices were nothing like the website and the day we went the Boulllibasse was 106 euros. There are walks along the River Canche but we didn't find the town inspiring. The coast is natural Sand Dunes but further north up the D940, at Dannes, there is a road through the dunes with parking. There is superb walking for miles along the beach here. Buy prawns & French bread and have a picnic.

A lot of similar around but quite expensive, even if it's the seaside so we knew it would be expensive. But we walked by this restaurant that attracted us by the menus they propose: one at 15.50€ and an another at 20€. So we went in and the atmosphere looks a little bit ancient like at grandma's, with cockerels statues everywhere :) For 20€, I had snails for starters (don't judge me, I'm French!) then a royal pot (it's like a fish soup with fresh fish inside) and a plate of cheeses (don't judge me, I'm... Well you got it!). And for 15.50€, my girl had shrimps as starters, then mussels and a plate of cheeses. Everything was tasty, service was great. They even have Charles Quint as draft beer so I can't tell anything wrong about this place. We were lucky to find a table but as it's a little bit tiny, I think it's better to book if you want to go there on busy days.

Excellent food…read more Very traditional, simple but delicious french food. Chicken liver salad, fish with vegetables and delectable sauce... The vibe is very authentic and cute in the middle of the countryside.
