I ordered a trailer from Don Evens, They said it would take 6 weeks, it took 3 months. Once It came in, They said it was ready for pick up and rushed me out the door when I was there to pick it up. Not allowing me a proper walk though or how things work, I.E. starting the generator. I paid for the trailer in full, ($9,716.00) and left. I took it on base to park it and took a better longer look at it. I ordered a trailer that was supposed to have a generator bay. They gave me storage box. 12 or more faults found, 1. The generator wont run if the door is closed, 2, The generator is not plumbed with exhaust, 3, the storage box is not sealed and carbon monoxide-gases can leak into the trailer (health concern - they knew I was going to be working in the trailer with the generator running). 4, the fuse box is in the wrong place, (not in accordance with the build sheet). 5, the wiring from the trailer doesn't match the plug on the generator, when it's supposed to be flip a switch and everything comes on. 6, 6 more faults, I returned the trailer back to the trailer yard and tried to identify the faults and resolve the unsatisfactory unit. The trailer sat on their property for 30 days. They refused to fix anything. They told me if there was a problem they could take it back to the factory, but then argued with everything I identified was wrong with it, like fault # 12, the exterior storage box door is on upside down. During the 30 days it was there to be repaired, they tried to sell this trailer (I had paid for in full) to my black friend (who wanted to possibly buy the trailer for him self) for $11,500, That's almost $1,800 more then I had already paid for it, why? Because I'm white?? Races Anybody?? At the end of the 30 days repair time, they had their lawyer send me notice to pick up the trailer before they were going to claim it was abandoned. How could it be considered abandoned when It was returned un-used and for repairs that they refused to acknowledge. The unit was not planned out, built, or delivered in the requested workable condition. It was supposed to be, walk in, hit a few switches, turn the generator on, turn the lights on, turn the AC on, but what they delivered is you have to crawl into the front lower cabinets, drop the power cord through a hole in the floor (not on the build sheet) run the cord out the bottom of the trailer and run it around to the drivers side of the trailer and plug the cord (that doesn't match) to the generator that is sitting (not bolted) on the slide rack that's now sitting 2 feet out side the side of the trailer. So if it's raining, now I'm going to get rain and weather into the cabin on the trailer through the open storage box door that must remain open because the generator wont run if the door is shut. Do make any un-wise purchases from this business. I'd advise every interested trailer buyers to consider going out side of the Lawton for your trailer needs.. I will not do business with them again, and I intent to have them black listed from Fort Sill.. read more
