We cannot say enough good things about Red M Studio. From start to finish, working with Marianne &…read moreSteve was an incredible experience, and hiring them was one of the best decisions we made for our New Orleans "not a wedding" wedding. I found Red M Studio through a Reddit recommendation from another couple who loved their photos, and after seeing their work, I immediately understood why. We wanted to support a small business, loved their aesthetic, and knew we needed professionals who could capture something intimate and nontraditional without turning it into a production. Leading up to the day, Marianne & Steve were incredibly organized and thoughtful. We had both a phone call and a Zoom meeting where they walked through every detail to make sure nothing was missed. They even used Google Maps to virtually walk us through the French Quarter and talk through locations and timing. That level of preparation made us feel completely at ease. Our original plan was to elope, but as anyone who tries to elope in New Orleans learns, that rarely stays small. What unfolded was a joyful, intimate gathering we lovingly called our "not a wedding." Marianne & Steve captured every part of it beautifully, from exchanging vows privately in our hotel suite, to wandering the French Quarter on Halloween night, stopping at the Carousel Bar, befriending a very determined French Quarter cat, and ending the evening with a private dinner at Arnaud's surrounded by our favorite people. They truly understood the assignment. The photos feel authentic, emotional, and perfectly us. Nothing felt staged or forced, and we never once felt uncomfortable or overly "on display." The final gallery tells the story of the day exactly as it was: warm, a little spooky, deeply personal, and full of love. If you're getting married in New Orleans and want photographers who are professional, intuitive, and genuinely invested in telling your story, Red M Studio is exceptional. We will treasure these photos forever.

We LOVE to get a fun snapshot with Santa and were happy to fork over the cash to get our photo. After taking our turn on Santa's lap, we were asked to come back "in 15 minutes" to get our print, so we headed out to enjoy ourselves in the Oaks. As the night was coming to a close we headed back to the Santa Photo station to pick up our pre-paid photos with Santa, only to find that the photographers and all of the 'helpers' had left for the evening, even though the event was still open for 15 more minutes. We found a member of security to ask "Do you know where we can find our photos?" (hoping that they would be left for us at the front gate, or something equally as convenient.) Security informed us that they must have left early and that we should call 'this number' to find out where to get our pictures. The next day we got a call saying that we could pick our photo up at the Studio on Metairie Rd. Wait, huh?? We have to go miles away (and deal with the backed up Metairie Rd. traffic the week before Christmas) to get our photo. Why didn't you call us that night and say "We are leaving early, come get your pictures NOW?" I am disappointed by the inconvenience we suffered and the lack of customer consideration that Romaguera Photography offered to us in this instance and I would be hesitant to recommend them. (I did like my Santa photo though.)

She didn't know how to work with babies. The cushion she arranged in a basket for her was not secure, and had I placed my baby there, she would have fallen off. She didn't set a background, even after I told her which background we wanted. So the backdrop of our photos is the floor - not even a blanket or anything under the basket. The photos came out meh. My baby didn't smile at all because of the oppressive flash on her camera. If you have a baby and take them here for photos, you pretty much have to get Dee. Otherwise, it's not worth it. We ended up hiring a private photographer to take her next round of photos.
