I spent half a year trying to go through all of it, barely scratching the surface, and had to throw my hands up. Mark liquidated my dad's house a few years ago, so I went with him to do this one. I appreciated his frequent communication during the initial work process. He sent me pics of things and alerted me to items they found. We talked nearly every day leading up to the sale. They cleaned this house OUT. Before the first weekend sale, he offered to hold a second weekend because there was so much stuff. Mark does have an unconventional style which I suppose some people can perceive as rude or inconsiderate. He's dealing with a lot of hagglers though. I don't feel that he did me wrong. Maybe we could have made a little more money on the sale, but the purging that he and his team executed was worth any possible loss of income. I will agree with other reviews that our place was a wreck (from their work) before the sale started and until after the second weekend. We even got a notice from the city. They came back after it was all over and cleaned up pretty good. Mark also went above and beyond for me. The house got broken into after the second weekend. I texted him to see if he could drop by. He must have been in the area because he got there when the cops were still around. This wasn't the only instance he helped me deal with things going on at the house, but a good example. I really appreciated his help and open communication. We sold some cars too, which wound up taking extra time and effort. I suppose if you're looking for someone to show up in a suit and hold a high brow auction/estate sale with tie on tags and machine printed signage that would make it seem "professional", Mark's not your guy. But if you've got more than a garage sale volume of stuff to move, he and his gang will get through it. I didn't experience anything that made me feel like Mark was trying to trick me or do anything dishonest.

They have some great clothing & home items, many great name brands for a fraction of the cost of purchasing them anywhere else. It is well organized as Trisha pointed out, each item color coded with a plastic "tag" to indicate price, unless it is a new item which is frequently priced higher, but is actually new, i.e. never worn!! Also, every day they have a special on a particular color coded tag, usually $1-$2 off the price. Pretty awesome!! Not to mention, all proceeds go to charitable causes! GO!! POP SOME TAGS!! No one ever has to know but you & unlike the clothing that the singers wear, this clothing is actually quite fashionable. Just keep a look out for stains & tears, etc.

They sell and rent instruments and have basically any item you need to get going with home or school playing at very reasonable prices. They also offer all kinds of lessons - we have a bunch of Guitars at home so learning how to play will be next on my list. We had been receiving private lessons and the instructor himself (Jorge) is great, the rest of the store is blah. Staff will generally not speak to you unless they have to. Management is non-existent. No voice mail, no email address, and the contact form only accepts a couple hundred characters. It's almost like they go out of their way to tell the client "We don't want to hear from you." Your lessons have an expiration date that they try to claim is to encourage people to stay current, which I don't buy. They also will charge you for about a month's worth of lessons at a time, so when you cancel, you're still on the hook for a bit longer. No business owner worth their salt accepts money for service they don't provide, or for poor service. Do better. We cancelled our private lessons and will drive past it to continue because of the apathetic service. Hard pass.

STORAGE BUYERS BEWARE!!!!…read more I won a storage unit thru an auction on Friday (10/3/25). I was able to review the pictures online before making my bid & and I didn't see anything that concerned me. When I arrived at the Storage Mart (1575 Thousand Oaks Dr), the attendant was quick to open the unit and walk away. One step in I noticed syringes laying around the unit. There was drug paraphernalia scattered around in multiple spots.There were even a few open syringes still filled with drugs in them. I am sure there was more. We just stopped searching the unit for our safety. It's strange how none of the pictures taken showed any of this. I talked to the 1st attendant as soon as I noticed all this, and he stated he was just filling in, but he would make a note of it. The next day (10/4/25), I spoke with a different employee working, and she refused to go look at the unit and even refused to look at the pictures I took. (She did mention the owners of the unit would go early every morning & leave late in the evening. She said that she thought they were running a bike repair shop out of the unit) Storage Mart refused to hear what I have to say,even refused to look into the matter & even refused to offer a refund. I was still required to clean the unit in order to get back my cleaning fees. I would recommend anyone trying to do business with this location be cautious. Store has a nice vibe. If you're a hardcore road cyclist, you'll notice that the focus of the store is not high-end road bikes (very different from stores in Austin). But this Trek store has all the basics and more importantly experienced staff that listen to customers. Also had my Specialized Roubaix serviced here, and the service department works hard to turn bikes around quickly. For perspective, I'm not a newbie to bicycles and bike stores. I've had various road bikes over the years including a Pinarello, Trek Madone (Dura Ace 7700 grupo), a Specialized Roubaix (Dura Ace 7800 grupo), and a Cervelo R5 (SRAM Red grupo).
