This hotel is in an OK neighborhood. It wasn't the best or worse. It was walking distance to a lot of restaurants and a market which was nice! Conveniently close to the bus and subway. Bus is down the block and is FREE! You can take the 85 bus straight to the Colosseum. Subway is about a 5 minute walk. You can buy a subway pass for €1.5 at the newspaper stand by the bus stop.

Everyone we encountered was very nice! Some spoke more English than others but they got the basics down where you can carry through a conversation.
Two things that really stood out to me about this hotel was one, they provided nice, big umbrellas when it rained. And two, they loaned you a cell phone to use for FREE while staying with them! You can use it to call locally and to use the internet. It really came in handy!

Our room was small but livable.
[ - ] I didn't like that they pushed two twin beds together to make a bigger bed. You can feel where they joined and it was uncomfortable.
[ + ] They provided a hair dryer.
[ - ] No clock or fridge. If you want ice then you'll have to ask the front desk or bartender and they'll give you a small bucket.
[ - ] Rough towels and small shower.

They have a breakfast buffet open from 730am - 10:30am. Food was pretty decent.
For beverages they had different kinds of coffee and juices. I suggest the carrot one!
For the hot breakfast they had "bacon" (which was really fried pancetta ), scrambled eggs, pancake, sausage and beans in tomato sauce.
For the cold breakfast they had cereal, yogurt (must try!), cold cuts with cheese and fruits.
Overall, our stay here at the Holiday Inn was good. We made the best out of it especially since we were on vacation. We've never had an issue with any of the workers. I would def come back again.
