In Wirklichkeit handelt es sich um eine typische arabische Imbissstube, wie es sie in Berlin zahlreich gibt - hier werden zwar Pizza und Pasta serviert, aber auf eigene Art und Weise. So kochen Italiener definitiv nicht. In jedem echten italienischen Restaurant wird Wert auf eine gemütliche Atmosphäre gelegt, und Gäste werden mit einem Lächeln empfangen. Selbst in einer beliebigen arabischen Imbissstube ist der Umgang mit Kunden deutlich freundlicher als in diesem Lokal. Hier hingegen ist es unüblich, zu lächeln oder dem Gast zuzuhören - stattdessen scheint Unhöflichkeit zum Konzept zu gehören. Übrigens: Das Personal spricht weder Italienisch noch vernünftig Deutsch oder Englisch. Ein absurd geführtes Restaurant in einer der schönsten und attraktivsten Lagen Potsdams... Heute erklärte mir ein Mitarbeiter des Servicepersonals, dass ich "verschwinden" könne, wenn mir etwas nicht passe. Als ich darum bat, den Manager zu sprechen, behaupteten andere Kellner, dass dieser unverschämte Mitarbeiter der Manager sei - eine absurde Vorstellung. Auf meine wiederholte Forderung, den Manager zu sprechen, begann ein anderer Kellner mich zu fragen, was passiert sei, während der unhöfliche Mitarbeiter laut durch das ganze Restaurant schrie: "Warum sich mit ihr abgeben? Wir haben genug andere normale Kunden!" Diese Schreie hörte der gesamte Saal - eine bessere Anti-Werbung für das Lokal gibt es wohl kaum. Das Einzige, was diesem Restaurant einen konstanten Strom an Gästen sichert, ist die günstige Lage: der wunderschöne Blick auf die Havel, die Nähe zu den wichtigsten touristischen Sehenswürdigkeiten und das Fehlen anderer Restaurants in der Umgebung. Offenbar verführt das Personal diese Umstände dazu, die Gäste nicht wertzuschätzen, sondern stattdessen jeglichen professionellen und menschlichen Anstand zu verlieren. As I don't particularly enjoy beer, I decided to try a fruit beer, which was much more to my taste. The only downside to my experience was the smokers sitting upwind of us, but I suppose that's inevitable in Europe.

It is currently 12:50pm and we ordered 2 pizzas at 10:45am. It has been over 2 hours. Their online tracking service said it would arrive at 12:00pm. It is ridiculous that it would take so long and that they would not care about delivering on time to their loyal customers. I won't be ordering from them again after today. I just called them and the guy I spoke to was very rude and said he wasn't delivering any today. He was a real jerk and now I have waited 2h10 for pizza I won't be getting.

My boo and I split the schnitzel plate, and they even portioned it for two which I found so thoughtful of the staff. The white asparagus, which is rare and painstakingly cultivated, wasn't something I've ever had back in the States so that was definitely special. Never mind that the weather made visiting Sanssouci Palace something of a bust, this will be my best memory of Potsdam until I manage to visit again in the summer!
