The Attendants were top notch-nice and gave me an unsolicited yet very much appreciated run down of their offerings and how they were different. Casey's' is the only place in town you can get hot food after 9 pm (apart from McDonald's some nights). Casey's is open 24 hours a day; and makes made to order subs, chicken sandwiches, burgers fries, hot & fresh pizzas and even some doughnuts. This is a big deal for Springfield - not even Hy-Vee sales hot food late. Looks like they also have a summer 2016 promotion going on where you save on pizzas and fountain drinks. I was thrilled when I saw they had Cherry Pepsi at the fountain machine. I never see that - so I went ahead and grabbed a cup. Gas prices are the same at every petroleum station in The City so expect no savings. Casey's is also right by Jefferson County Health Center (the local hospital /Dr's complex). If you're in town, headed to Burlington/Outtuma - stop in for a fill-up and a beverage - both will be accompanied with a smile!

The only reason I had to take a star is that we cannot recommend dining in and want to give that heads up to fellow travelers. We were stopping through town on our way to see family and thought it would be easier to dine in with our toddler than taking it back to our air b n b. It was small but there were a handful of tables set up for dining in so we thought it would work ok. But when we came in and asked about dining in we were given a bugged-eyed look and they echoed, "dine in?!" But they said sure and pick a seat. It takes a bit to make me uncomfortable and doubt a person but this was not welcoming. We sat down and when our 2 year old wanted our menu, we asked for a second one and got an attitude from the same person again. At that point I threw in the towel. I can't enjoy my meal with someone questioning every single thing we did or said, especially with an unpredictable toddler. So we put in our order and left. My husband had to go back to get it. So just a fair warning to other families to be prepared for a possibly awkward dine-in experience. They also do not have high chairs - they do have booster seats but they do not buckle down. We for sure would order here again but would plan to carry-out only.

Fresh quality ingredients and the crust isn't too doughy nor too thin. The pizza tasted and looked like we got it from the some fancy shmancy artisan pizza restaurant.
