Yes I went to Dominos while in Istanbul. To be fair the offerings of most restaurants here are pretty similar to each other and I had been traveling for weeks without any American style pizza... plus K was curious ... I eat dominos at home (don't even try to argue with me, Dominos at home isn't horrible) and it sounded fun to see what it would be like in Turkey.
Ordering was pretty easy. I mean, I used google translate and they seemed to get what I was trying to accomplish so that was cool.
Prices are within the norm, so maybe a title spendy for the locals but not horrible.
Pizza came out pretty fast and it was how I ordered it. I would say that the thin crust wasn't as thin or crispy as I like but I did eat the entire large pizza by myself in one sitting. So...
I also got a side of fries. They were ok, i wouldn't order them again.
At the end of the day I left feeling super full and like the pizza was good enough for the money!
Note that when you eat at the restaurant you just get up and leave your tray.... I picked up my tray and tried to figure out where to put the trash and another customer had to communicate to me the ways of the land. Just leave your stuff in the table and bail. read more
