My husband was pretty satisfied with his catfish. I found my fish to be a bit too fishy and had to spit it out halfway through. My husband even said mine tasted too fishy for his liking as well and couldn't finish it. He ordered the catfish and enjoyed that. I think the serving sizes were a little disappointing for the price. Upon arrival, my husband found that they were not yet open, despite their hours stating they would be. Eventually, when they let him in around 20 min later, it seemed like the staff was not anticipating a customer walking in, and they explained that getting their food truck ready was their top priority. It was a disappointing experience, since it was Father's Day and he was really looking forward to trying this place out for his Father's Day lunch and it wasn't the best experience. He did enjoy the food and said he'd order it again for himself, but from the food truck next time because it seems maybe those customers might have better experiences. Personally, I would not return.

This is a great review I saw from back home ! BackstreetCrabs in Franklin. I had heard the food was…read moregreat, but had seen other not so nice reviews as well (you never know until you try it though). Ill try to give y'all a good honest opinion of the restaurant and food. I had seen the shrimp and crab philly posted on this page and thought "I've got to try that, I've never had any sandwich like that before." Well today was the day. I placed my order over the phone and the young lady who answered was very nice, (the ticket had the name Destiny on it). She answered all my questions and took my order without any issues. When I got to backstreet crabs I observed the gentleman cooking wearing gloves, a head covering, and a beard net. The young lady was helping some other customers and bagging up their order. She told me they were working on my order and I could go ahead and grab my drink (cooler with bottles and cans located in the customer seating area). When my order was ready it was boxed up and shown to me to make sure it was what I had asked for. Everything looked and smelled good. Staff was very friendly the entire time. Here's the pros of the meal: It was delicious! Piled high with filling and very flavorful. There were whole shrimp, not pieces. I think around 6 good size shrimp in the sandwich. There was so much filling I had to take a layer off the top. Fries were cooked perfectly as well. The only negative thing I have to say about the whole experience was that the sandwich was very wet, so the bread got soggy fast. Did that stop me from eating it, Nope. It was still delicious. I did end up taking the filling out of the bread once it was too soggy for my liking and just eating the filling. Just FYI if you plan to order over the phone you will need to pay with card while you are on the phone, but it wasn't a surprise, she did tell me when I asked to place a to go order. I'll definitely go back again, I've got my eye on the crab cake sandwich for next time or maybe some wings. Love to help local hometown!

My friend who lives out this way suggested we stop here for dinner on our way back from NC to VA…read more I'm so glad we did. It's right off 58 and was great! It's kinda a little hole in the wall type of restaurant- not the nicest seats, old decor etc... but the food was yummy! We were told to sit anywhere, which we loved picking our spots. We had the manager as our server, and she was just lovely! She was clearly in a hurry, but she was super cool & funny. The food was great, but I feel like some shortcuts were taken- like the Greek salad & Greek spaghetti had sliced black olives, as opposed to Kalamata olives. I'm always disappointed when I get those, although I still really like them. The Gaelic bread looked bland and meh, but it was very tasty. Not a large beer selection, which made it easy to drink water. I will definitely return when making my way back to the 757 from the 910.

Walking in, it was very spacious, well lit, and clean. There were a variety of local items/goods to peruse. I went to the coffee area and the staff were so friendly, energetic, and helpful.
