It's actually located in the old Gothenberg spot on Hood Street. When you walk in, you notice the same sense of style and aethetics that make Gothenberg so pleasant and enjoyable. Craft specializes in pizzas, sliders and beer. Now, the sign out front does actually say that, but if you are looking for something OTHER than those things, then move on. The menu is somewhat limited in that respect. However, in terms of the variety and quality of the pizza and sliders, you won't be left wanting. I came here without the kiddos and with my husband and in-laws, who were visiting from the States. My husband was very happy with the beer selection (I was the driver none for me that night). Though the food is pizza and burgers, you definitely are getting the upper-end version of these items (not typical pub-type fare). The flavor palate is interesting and tasty (and if you ever had the sliders at Gothenburg, you'd have a sense of what is on offer at Craft). The servers were great and friendly. It's wasn't too busy, but it was a Wednesday night. They have some lounge type indoor seating, and some "social" types of seating (e.g. long, high top tables, a high-top counter along the wall) and may well get crowded on a busier night. They have also maintained some of the outdoor seating that was there from Gothenburg as well. All in all, I'll be back again on a future date night. They might be perfectly happy to have your children there, but I don't intend to find out :)

However, even for a non-specific Wednesday night, the dining area was nearly full at 7:00 pm. We had a drink at The Keg Room (both establishments are connected) before heading over to The Eatery for our dinner. The ambiance is casual, comfortable but nice. The Keg Room has dark walls, metal kegs lining one wall, multiple TV screens showing sports. There are high stool seats, lower leather seating and a couple of booths inside. There is limited outdoor seating as well. When we went, there was a combo of adult groups and also people there with children. The Eatery is slightly fancier, but still appropriate to wear casual attire. There are black beaded chandeliers, a gas fireplace and a couple of iron shelves filled with wood logs. There appeared to be a sectioned of area that could be used for a private party. We had a bottle of wine and I was happy with the wine selections. There were plenty of NZ wines but also a good selections of Italian wines. We had the Quota 29 primitivo. We weren't disappointed. We started with spicy Italian pork sausages. These were very tasty, not *too* spicy and served with cooked onions, tomatoes and kalamata olives. It was really great. We also shared one of the side salads to start - arugula/rocket, pears and candied walnuts. It was nicely dressed, light and delicious. I had the suprema pizza for my main - it had arugula/rocket, pine nuts and prosciutto. What I really loved is that the crust was not too thin/crispy but not so think that it was like a grease sponge. It was very reminiscent of pizzas that I had while traveling in Italy. I wasn't sure what I'd think about the pine nuts, but they ended up being a nice touch. The pizza was fairly sizable, and I ended up eating about half and taking the rest home. My husband had the Maltagliati, all'amatriciana (spicy, hand-pulled pasta with bacon). He asked for it to be "extra spicy," and they did spice it up. I tasted it and it was on the verge of too spicy for me, but that is just how he likes it. We finished with tiramisu, which was very nice, but I'm not sure that it was really stand-out compared to others. All in all, we had a great evening and felt the drive from the CBD was well worth it (all 15 minutes). It is rather unassuming from the outside, nestled inside a strip mall type of setting. There are a lot of things I really like about The Wayward Pigeon. First, since it is not in the CBD, parking is generally easy, plentiful and free. There is a good amount of indoor and outdoor spaces, table service and bar areas. On my most recent visit (last night), I had the Bang Bang Chicken Salad, which was delicious. A nice combination of crunchy and a kick of heat that built over the time I ate it. I also had kombucha to drink, though there is a very good assortment of beers and wines available. My husband had the pork scotch, which had a good flavour, but was perhaps a bit over done. Other people in our party had the fried chicken pieces and pizzas. Everyone seemed to agree that their food was pretty good. There is a great place to meet up with a group, large or small. The atmosphere is a sort of retro casual, the colour palette reminds me of the 70's. Call head for reservations - we called on the Friday for Friday night and they were fully booked indoors. It is unclear to me what is going on here, since the location is not under new management. When we last went to JG, the food took over 45 minutes to get to the table despite that it wasn't busy. We also noticed one jr member of the cooking staff handle cooked bacon and other food items with his bare hands after handling raw foods. We alerted the staff to this as it is unsanitary. Second the shift manager took a 15min smoke break even as some customers berated other staff. While I understand the need for a break on shift, I think it is incumbent upon the manager to step up and lead the staff during what was a very difficult time. When I return to this location, I will update my negative review if the situation has improved.

You'd think a bar in a cruise terminal would learn that crew cards are issued in color coded and printed horizontally for the seldom few crew under 21 and are white and vertical for those over 21. Isn't the drinking age here 18 anyway?! Highly disappointing... Food is typical overpriced bar fare. A disappointing way to end an otherwise adventure filled day.
